DIY coffee tree. Christmas tree made of coffee beans. Decorating a Christmas tree from coffee beans with your own hands

A homemade Christmas tree made from coffee beans is a great New Year gift for every coffee lover. Such topiary can become not only a cute table decoration at home or in the workplace, but also a kind of flavoring agent: many coffee lovers love the smell of coffee beans. The advantage of this gift is that it is very inexpensive: to make it you will need simple available materials, many of which can be found in almost every home. But its value is not in the cost, but in the fact that you put your soul into such a gift, painstakingly creating a future tree with your own hands, grain by grain.

  1. Actually, coffee beans are approximately 150-200 grams.
  2. Thick cardboard or paper - A4 size sheet.
  3. Glue (it is better to take transparent “Moment” and PVA).
  4. Thick threads, such as jute twine.
  5. Scissors.
  6. A small pot for flowers.
  7. Sackcloth.
  8. Plasticine or plaster to fill the pot.
  9. A wooden stick for the trunk of the future Christmas tree (for example, a pencil, a sushi stick or a skewer).
  10. Cotton wool or newsprint.

In addition, you will need various decorations for the future Christmas tree. Here you can give free rein to your imagination, for example, make balls from shiny beads, snow from semolina or cotton wool, decorate the Christmas tree with braid, miniature snowflakes, or cover some of the grains with gold paint.

Making a Christmas tree out of coffee with your own hands: job description

The first step is to prepare base, on which our Christmas tree will be held. We take a small flower pot (you can buy it at a regular flower shop) and wrap it in burlap, securing it with glue. We fill the pot with heavy contents (plaster or plasticine) so that the Christmas tree stands quite stable.

Now you can start making the Christmas tree itself. Cut out two circles from cardboard or thick paper. One large one, its diameter should be the same height as the crown of the tree. From this circle we roll and glue a cone. The second circle should be slightly wider than the base of the resulting cone, with allowances for gluing along the edges. You need to make allowances of about a centimeter and a half, make cuts in a circle and fold them over. You also need to make a small hole in the center of the base: a tree trunk will be inserted into it.

When the glued cone has dried, we trim its edges from the bottom so that they are as even as possible. Then the cone must be filled with contents so that it is light enough, but at the same time does not bend under the weight of the coffee beans glued to it. For this purpose, you can use cotton wool or cut and crumpled newspaper sheets. We also insert a stick into the middle of the cone - the future trunk.

By the way, the trunk does not have to be straight: you can make it from rolled wire and give it an interesting curved shape, only in this case the main thing is to make the finished structure stable.

Apply glue to the edges of the cone and the allowances on the small circle and glue the “bottom” of the future Christmas tree. Wait again for the glue to dry.

If you don’t want to cut and glue, you can purchase it at a craft store foam cone, which can also become the basis for a Christmas tree.

Using glue, we attach a jute thread to the trunk of the tree and begin to carefully wrap it with threads - in one layer, but quite tightly. We do the same with the cone, having previously coated it with PVA glue so that the threads do not fall off. Why wrap a cone? The fact is that coffee beans have an oval shape, and no matter how tightly you glue them, there will still be small gaps between them in which the base will be visible. Jute thread will look much neater and more beautiful as a base than regular cardboard. In addition, if you glue the grains directly onto smooth cardboard, there is a risk that they will fall off.

The tree leg does not need to be wrapped completely: we leave part of it and insert the future tree into a pot with a base just up to the point where the thread wrapping begins. Now our tree is standing firmly, and we can start gluing it with grains.

We will stick the coffee beans onto the tree from the base and from the bottom up, in two layers. Apply a thin layer of glue to the base (here it is better to take transparent “Moment” so that it is not visible) and glue the grains onto the base with the flat side, in a checkerboard pattern. At the same time, it is important to arrange them so that there are as few gaps as possible between them - this way the Christmas tree will look more neat. Glue the second layer of grains outward with the flat side, so as to maximally close the gaps remaining in the first layer.

Available another option for gluing grains: Flat side up and at a slight angle. Then they will resemble real paws of a spruce tree, and our Christmas tree will not be so smooth, more like a living tree.

Educational: to cultivate perseverance and accuracy
Progress:
Hello, dear teachers, teachers, parents and all those who visited my page. In my blog I offer a detailed master class on creating a topiary in the form of a Christmas tree. What topiary is has long been known to everyone. And, I think, every needlewoman has made it at least once. And when you make one tree, you want a second and a third - it’s addictive. So I decided to make this topiary Christmas tree for the New Year.

I advise you to try to make this tree of happiness, even if it seems impossible to you. Everything will turn out to be very simple in the end.
You will need the following materials:
-glue gun and glue “Moment”
-scissors
- twine (string)
-threads
- black cardboard
-coffee beans
- sushi chopsticks or skewers
-cup
-beige paper (recycled)
-newspaper
-pencil
-gypsum mixture
-wire
For decoration:
-cinnamon
- sisaplast

We print the template on A4 format. Cut it out and transfer it to cardboard. I have black cardboard, you can take dark brown or paint it with gouache in a dark color. This is necessary so that the gaps between the coffee beans are not visible.

You need to form a cone out of cardboard and immediately insert the wire there. I had thin wire, so I folded it 4 times. You can adjust the length yourself, whatever you like.

Now, starting from the bottom of the cone, we paste it with coffee beans, leaving a little space at the top. Try to glue carefully and close to each other.

We wrap the top of the head in a circle with twine or twine, applying a sufficient amount of glue. Smoothly move on to the wire. The transition must be careful.

Typically, the tree should have a star decoration on the top of its head. Since we have an unusual tree, we will make a ball at the tip. It is based on an ordinary newspaper. Tear off half the sheet.

Give it a round shape.

Wrap tightly with thread.

Cover with coffee beans, flat side inward.

Using a glue gun, glue the finished coffee ball onto the tip of the wire. You can bend the wire in any direction.

Now we’ll make a trunk for our tree. On black cardboard we draw a circle equal to the width of the cone.

Cut it out

We take sushi chopsticks and pierce the circle with them. Pour glue into the hole formed. Now your sticks will not fall and will hold tightly.

We need to compact the newspaper into the cone. This will give strength to our future tree.

Now we need to make a pot in which the miracle Christmas tree will stand. We take a broken cup that is no longer useful for its intended purpose.

And cover it with recycled beige paper.

Pour the gypsum mixture into the resulting pot and connect all the components together. Decorate with cinnamon and sizaplast. Here it is - a New Year's miracle.

This Christmas tree will serve as a wonderful interior decoration and will fill your home with the aromas of coffee and cinnamon.
New Year is traditionally associated with the aroma of tangerine and, of course, the smell of spruce. For this holiday, kindergartens and schools make crafts, including artificial Christmas trees, which can also be made fragrant using a popular material with a strong smell - coffee. Coffee trees are beautiful and fragrant; such an addition to the main gift or token of attention is original and valuable. To decorate the interior of your home and give your home a festive atmosphere, you can also make Christmas trees from coffee with your own hands.

List of required materials and tools:

Coffee beans;
- leg-split;
- cardboard;
- glue;
- beads;
- sparkles;
- brush;
- scissors;
- pencil.

DIY coffee tree: step-by-step master class

We will make the Christmas tree cone-shaped. You can purchase a ready-made foam cone, which is sold in special stores for those who like to create with their own hands. You can make a cone yourself. There are several ways: from old newspapers, cut from a piece of polystyrene foam, roll a sheet of cardboard into a cone, securing the ends with glue or using a stapler. We cover a self-made or purchased cone with twine. It is not necessary to coat the entire twine with glue; it is enough to secure it in 2-4 places in one circle. The work will go faster with a glue gun, but you can use any instant glue (you need to take care to ventilate the room, since such products usually have a strong chemical smell) or PVA glue (if you use it, then you need to give time for the glue to dried out).

We take coffee beans and begin to create a pattern, for which we glue the very top of the cone around the perimeter, gluing the beans to each other in one row. Then above this row we glue several grains with their ends.

Then, stepping back a little, we glue one row of coffee beans, leaving a small distance between them. Then we step back further and glue one row, but the grains should be in contact with each other. We step back a little more and glue beads of different colors. And again we retreat down and make another dense row of coffee beans.

Again we indent down and begin to glue the flowers - the center is a bead, from which six petals made of coffee beans extend. Flowers are made around the perimeter. A coffee bean is glued between the flowers.

Again we indent down and glue a dense row of coffee. Then we start gluing the snowflake. The center of the snowflake is a coffee bean glued across. 6 rays extend from it, consisting of 2 grains. From each ray there are 3 more rays, consisting of one grain. After one snowflake is made, the number that can fit on the Christmas tree is determined. I only have two snowflakes, so I made them on opposite sides.

Between the snowflakes we glue a flower made of coffee beans and an arc under it.

Add silver glitter to a small amount of PVA glue and stir. Using a brush, apply this mixture to the twine and to the top of the coffee.

Our fragrant coffee tree is ready! Creative success and happy New Year!

New Year is a time of gifts, Santa Claus, Snow Maiden and of course the Christmas tree. Lately, many people want to see not a standard green Christmas tree in their home, but some unusual one, such as a coffee tree. Such a tree will create not only a New Year's atmosphere, but also fill the room with the aroma of coffee beans. Also, such a coffee tree will be an excellent New Year gift for family and friends.

And with children you can make a simple green one and the symbol of 2014 - .

To make a Christmas tree we will need:

  • A4 cardboard sheet – 1 piece
  • Newspaper – 1 piece
  • Dry branch or stick (for the trunk) – 1 pc.
  • Wire or easily bendable wire
  • Jute twine
  • Coffee beans
  • Pearl colored beads
  • A small piece of burlap
  • Lace guipure ribbon – 0.5m
  • Sisal
  • Alabaster or gypsum putty
  • Hot glue

Unusual Christmas tree made from coffee beans with your own hands - Master class:

So, first we need to make a base for our Christmas tree from coffee beans. To do this, roll a cone out of cardboard and fix it with hot glue. In this case, I used A4 cardboard.

We cut the bottom of the cone with scissors so that it stands evenly on the table.

In order for the cone inside not to be empty, but to be dense and durable, it must be filled with something. Crumpled newspaper works very well for these purposes.

We compact the newspaper tightly into our cone.

If the cone is not completely filled, grease the newspaper with glue and tamp down the next one so that the cone is filled to the very base. In order to hide the newspaper, cut out a circle from cardboard with a slightly larger diameter than the base of the cone, cut it along the edges and bend it upward.

Lubricate the cut parts on the outside with glue and glue them to the cone.

Using a knife, we make a hole in the cardboard, and also make a hole in the newspaper, but not very deep.

Lubricate the stick with glue and insert it into the resulting hole.

We twist a small piece of wire at the end into a spiral, and fold the second piece in half.

Lubricate the wire with glue and insert it into the top of the cone.

Cut out a small square from burlap. We make a hole in the center and put it on the trunk. Attach the burlap to the cone with hot glue.

We cut off the edges of the burlap protruding beyond the cone.

Glue twine at the base of the cone.

We begin to wrap the cone. On the first round, we glue the twine along its entire length, then it is not necessary to glue everything, we fasten it only in a few places, after a few turns.

We wrap the entire cone in this way.

Next, we wrap the wire with twine, cut the twine, and secure it with glue at the end. After winding, you can change the shape of the spiral, which is what I did.

Glue coffee beans onto the twine.

Then we glue the beads.

At the base of the cone we glue a lace guipure ribbon in a circle.

Now we will make a pot for our Christmas tree. Take a small piece of burlap and place a glass in the center.

We lift the burlap to the top of the glass and glue it from the inside.

Glue a bow made of guipure ribbon to the pot.

New Year is always a Christmas tree and gifts, Father Frost and Snow Maiden. But the tree does not always have to be green and fluffy. Now it has become very fashionable to make Christmas trees from different materials - paper, fabric, dried flowers, feathers, sweets and even coffee. This version of a winter beauty will not only create a festive atmosphere, but also fill the room with the pleasant aroma of coffee beans. Making such a miniature Christmas tree is not at all difficult, but it will take time to glue the grains and decorate. But at the end of the process, you will receive not only a beautiful thing to decorate the interior and create a holiday atmosphere, but also a gift option for friends and relatives.

The size of the tree may vary, but it is better to make small coffee trees that can be placed on a table or bedside table - this way they will be more noticeable. A cardboard cone is used as the base of the Christmas tree; you can make it yourself or use a festive head cap for these purposes, which is sold in any gift and holiday equipment store.

How to make a Christmas tree out of coffee

So, to make such an unusual Christmas tree you will need: a cardboard cone, brown threads, two types of glue (transparent like “Crystal” and PVA), coffee beans, tassels, beads and bows for decoration (you can use other decor), thick cardboard for trunk, base (you can use a candlestick or glass), clear varnish, semolina, golden spray paint.

Coffee tree - master class video

Using the same principle, you can make Christmas trees from other materials, with or without coffee beans. For example, you can wrap a cardboard cone with burlap tape and glue coffee beans in a random order on top. You can use dried flowers, which should then be coated with golden or bronze colored spray paint. You can also twist small flowers from thin strips of paper and glue them tightly to each other on the surface of a cardboard cone. These Christmas trees can also be decorated in different ways. Decor options made in the same color scheme look stylish. For example, for a golden Christmas tree, you can choose a bow to decorate the base made of dark gold mesh or ribbon. You can use gold-painted nuts, pine cones and dried flowers.
