You will need:
Empty tin cans
Hammer and thick nail
Brush and paint (acrylic or spray)
1. Fill a tin with water and place in the refrigerator. When the water freezes, remove the jar from the freezer.
* You need to freeze the water in the jar so that the jar does not get wrinkled when you make patterns with a hammer and nail.
2. Using a marker, draw any image or face on the jar. It is advisable that the design be simple - the silhouette of a cat, a witch's hat or a flying mouse.
3. Place the jar on a towel to cushion the hammer blows.
4. Using a hammer and nail, make holes that will outline your design on the can.
5. Once you've finished making the holes, place the jar in the sink and turn on the hot water to melt the ice.

DIY Halloween Decorations: Flying and Burning Witch Hats
You will need:

7. Place the round pumpkin on the oblong one and make sure it holds well. If necessary, you can use skewers to thread the pumpkins onto them. You can also paint the skewers black.

DIY Halloween at home: a ghost floating in the air
You will need:
Plastic bottle (in this example 1L)
Liquid starch
Old towel
Gauze (sieve fabric)
A piece of felt
Styrofoam ball
Scissors

1. Place a towel on your work surface.
2. Place a foam ball on a plastic bottle and screw it a little into the neck of the bottle.
3. Use wire to make arms.

You will need:
Black construction paper or felt
Black acrylic or spray paint

1. Take the hoop apart and paint it black.

Halloween Ideas: Hanging Ghosts
You will need:
Styrofoam balls (preferably different sizes)
Black paint (acrylic)
Brush
Gauze (sieve fabric)
Loop screw
Super glue

1. Insert the loop screw into the foam ball. You can add glue to help the screw hold better. Let the glue dry.
*If desired, you can paint the screws white.

- Wash and dry the prepared pumpkin. It is not at all necessary to take a round orange pumpkin; a pear-shaped pumpkin or a green pumpkin will look very stylish,
- cut off the very top of the pumpkin and remove the seeds, do it very carefully - this way your lantern will last longer and will not deteriorate,
- Take a dark marker and draw an outline, which you will then use to cut out the “face” of the pumpkin lantern. It can be evil or kind, surprised or upset - let your imagination fly!
- If you have a very large pumpkin and several small ones, you can make a whole composition out of them to decorate your home.

Paper Halloween pumpkin
If you don’t have a pumpkin on hand, and the holiday is about to begin, don’t worry - the main symbol of Halloween can be made from paper! To make a pumpkin from paper, we will need a sheet of orange and green thick and double-sided paper from a set for children's crafts, a pen, stationery tape or a glue gun, and scissors. Here are just two of many ways:
Method number one
- cut out strips of orange paper from 2 to 5 cm wide, depending on the size of the paper pumpkin,
- fold the strips crosswise in 4-5 pieces and fasten them at the intersection,
- we fasten 2 such “crosses” again in the middle,
- We fasten 1 strip with tape at the top so that an oval is formed, then we fasten all the other strips in the same way,
- we curl a strip of green paper about 2 cm wide using scissors,
- cut out leaves for our paper pumpkin from green paper,
- We fasten the curl and leaves at the top of our pumpkin, covering the place of fastening, the paper pumpkin is ready!
Method number two
- cut out circles of the required size from orange paper, six pieces for each paper pumpkin,
- we fold each circle into pieces and glue the halves with another circle so that we get a three-dimensional circle,
- Using scissors we give the resulting sphere the shape of a pumpkin,
- We make the tail from green paper or wrapping paper, having previously twisted it into a flagellum. Our pumpkin is ready!
You won't be able to put a candle inside a paper pumpkin, but these pumpkins make great table decorations or can be put together in a garland.

You will need:
- black acrylic paint;

- white and black foam (thin sheets; can be found in craft stores and hardware stores; or any equivalent), - can be easily replaced with regular white and black (double-sided) cardboard;
- stencil for eyes, wings and ears (can be found on the Internet - for example, see a full-scale, large-scale version of the stencil in a pdf file here: http://familyfun.go.com/assets/cms/pdf/crafts/Bat-templete. pdf; or you can easily draw it yourself);
- hole punch (not necessary, but can be used for convenience);
- good glue;
- black, opaque, small-width adhesive tape;
- toothpicks;
- wooden “skewers”/sticks for corn.
1. Choose a large, horizontal work surface - you'll need to lay out a lot of pieces on it. Cover the surface with a layer of old newspapers. Prepare the pumpkins - cut the stem (optional), wash and dry them - and paint the whole thing with black acrylic paint. The shape of pumpkins can also vary; round is not strictly necessary. Place the pumpkins at some distance from each other and let the paint dry thoroughly.

2. For each bat, select the style of the wings - at the link to the stencil above you can find 2 types of wings - as well as the style of the eyes (there are 3 of them in the stencil, but here everything is limited only by your imagination). Mark all the details - wings, ears and eyes (2 of each) - on a thin sheet of foam (or equivalent) or cardboard. Accordingly, the ears and wings are on black, the eyes are on white. The wings should be about 15 cm long.

If you chose cardboard, on the edge of the ears and wings that will be attached to the pumpkin, leave 1.5-2 cm of cardboard stock for the fold of the fastening. Cut out all the pieces. By the way, there is no need to glue black pupils onto white eyes: use a hole punch or simply cut holes along the contour in the eye blanks, the black surface of the pumpkin will be visible through them - there you have the pupils! Glue the eyes on the mice.
3. Sort the cut out wings in pairs so as not to mix them up in the process. If your ears are made of foam, attach them to the top of the pumpkin using toothpicks, inserting the latter into the center (in thickness and width) of the ear and then into the pumpkin; if the ears are made of cardboard, bend the remaining stock back and use it to “plant” the ears on the pumpkin with glue. If you choose some kind of stiffer foam alternative, the toothpicks can be attached to the back walls of the ears using black adhesive tape (you can do the same with the cardboard ears and wings, instead of “spare” and glue). It’s the same with wings, only you will need to use long thin wooden skewers and sticks, not toothpicks; or make a couple of cuts on the “stock” (cardboard) so that the wings are fixed more evenly and securely.
Add-ons:
Don’t forget that if you plant such a mouse in a lush home flower, it will look even more charismatic;
You can make other decorations for the mice: draw the moon on a large sheet of paper and hang it on the back wall, make a bluish backlight next to the mice;
The surface of the pumpkin should not be visible through the acrylic paint. It is better to choose matte paint rather than shiny.
