Thank you for the attention!

Mother's Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in November. It is on this day that children can please their mothers with pleasant homemade products and surprises. To congratulate the dearest person, you can make a postcard.

Since the postcard will be made by a child, the technology for its production is very simple. First, decide on a drawing or image. Various animals look very nice. For example, a cat with a kitten or a family of birds. The card should radiate love and be themed for the holiday. If you wish, you can make a flyer with voluminous flowers, butterflies and ribbons. Such a product is also suitable for the day of March 8. After you have decided what you want to depict, take heavy cardboard and scrapbooking paper. Plain glitter wallpaper or velvet fabric will do. Make a base. Cut the colored paper into pieces and glue to the base. Do not forget to write the inscription. This can be done with colored gel pens or by printing a congratulation on a computer. A volumetric card with flowers looks very impressive. To make it, take thick cardboard and cut out a rectangle. Cover it with nice paper. Fold the sheet in half. Now cut simple flowers with 5 or 6 petals out of bright paper. Make 11 flowers in different sizes. On the largest bud, glue the smaller flower, and then the smallest. Roll the petals inward so they are centered. The end result is a bud that resembles a rose or a peony.

Start making a vase. Cut a vase out of paper in a contrasting color. Do not forget about the base with which the vessel will be attached to the postcard. Just leave a piece 0.5-1 cm long. Tie a ribbon around the vase or paint it with paints. Glue the vase to the base. Attach flowers to the base and write congratulations on it. Decorate the flyer with rhinestones, glitter and ribbons if desired. You can decorate it with beads and buttons. Postcards with palms look unusual. To do this, circle your palm and cut out the resulting image. After that draw the marigolds. They can be painted with bright colors. Make an imitation of a ring on your finger with a thin satin ribbon. Use tissue paper to make a flower. This can be done from a regular one, but the bud should be convex. Glue your hand to the base, and on top of it the bud. Two palms of different sizes look very harmonious, symbolizing the hands of a mother and daughter. Decorate with buttons or lace. The most beautiful are postcards with an openwork frame. You will have to work hard to make them. Take thick cardboard and draw a pattern on its back. These should be flowery lines. Use a sharp utility knife to cut out the image. If you want to make a convex frame, use very thick cardboard. Before cutting out the pattern, push the outline with a blunt object. Only then cut out the frame.

Mom will appreciate the apron, pot, or flower-shaped flyers. You can make a card with hearts, just don't make it very romantic. In this case, it is more suitable for congratulations on Valentine's Day. If you know how to crochet, then you can make flowers from threads. For knitting, it is better to take thin threads with glitter. Any technique you know (kanzashi, origami) can be used to create a greeting card.

Today we will learn how to make do-it-yourself Mother's Day cards. First, let's remember what kind of holiday it is.

An international holiday that is celebrated in all countries on different days. In Russia, it began to be celebrated quite recently, only 14 years ago. There is no specific date for this holiday. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of November, i.e. in 2015 - November 29. In Ukraine, it is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. On this day, no one can remain indifferent to mothers. Everyone is in a hurry to tell them warm words of love and gratitude. Every mother deserves it not only on this day, but on any other. To remind your mother of your love, you can make a delicate postcard with your own hands.

Postcard material:

  • double-sided colored paper;
  • scissors;
  • toothpicks;
  • quilling strips;
  • PVA glue.

Making a card for Mother's Day

For the base, take thick paper, you can use cardboard. Stick paper in a contrasting color on it. For curly shapes, you can use napkins (round). Set them aside and start decorating the postcard.

Let's make several roses out of paper right away, they look rich on any postcard.
Cut three strips 1 cm wide from colored paper.Take one strip and a toothpick.

Fold either edge of the strip to a 45 degree angle.

Roll the strip onto the toothpick to the end of the fold. Next, you will need to wrap the paper 30-35 degrees away from you and twist the toothpick by winding a strip of paper.

For a rose to be beautiful, there should not be few folds.

When the rose is ready, drop a good drop of glue into the middle of the rose from the bottom, cover it with the tip of the strip, and hold it in your hands for a little while squeezing the middle in your hands so that it sticks well. You can put a rose under a small press. Make three roses.

We also need small chrysanthemums. To make them, we use strips 1.2-1.5 cm wide. Use scissors to make a fringe on them.

Twist the fringed strips of paper into a tight spiral. Loosen the fringe of the flower.

Instead of leaves, we will make beautiful curls. Take a 3mm wide quilling paper.

Fold two strips in half.

Twist the fold onto a toothpick.

Remove it, you get a curl. Now distribute the strips evenly apart from each other. Cut the paper along the shortest strip and glue them together.

We also need one unblown bud. Twist a tight spiral from a strip 3 mm wide. Extrude the middle of the spiral into a cone shape.

Glue the unblown chrysanthemum in the middle.

Collect all the elements into a composition.

Write congratulatory words.

Mother's Day is very soon, which means it is worth thinking about what you plan to add to your congratulations. Of course, we're talking about postcards: this small symbolic detail is like a confirmation of what you want to convey. In this article, we will try to make a postcard together, moreover, not trivial: how do you, for example, the shape of a donut or a piece of cake?

Idea 1: Beautiful Mother's Day Cards in the Shape of Sweets

You will need:

  • paints;
  • brushes;
  • thick cardboard;
  • a set of colored paper;
  • good glue;
  • markers and pens;
  • scissors.

Such original cards for Mother's Day are made simply:

Idea 2: make awesome pom-pom cards

We never cease to be surprised that all fresh ideas are ingenious and simple to execute! For example, these postcards with pom-poms will take you about twenty minutes. You can buy the necessary material for crafts in almost any store for needlework and creativity. So let's get started.

You will need:

  • if you plan to use thread pom-poms, you will need a piece of cardboard. For standard store pom-poms, just thick paper is suitable.
  • pencils
  • glue gun,
  • PVA glue or a needle and thread.

Getting started:

To begin with, a sheet of cardboard or paper must be folded in half: this is how you get a blank for a future postcard. Now let's start drawing the background: it can be anything related to the theme of motherhood. We offer funny drawings of animals and birds with cubs. We attach the pompom to the right places with glue and add the missing details. Even children can make such greeting cards on Mother's Day!

Idea 3: a card with an embroidered heart for mom

This postcard turns out to be incredibly cute! Its production should be entrusted to children who can already be trusted to work with a needle. And everything you need to make such a postcard will probably be found in your home.

You will need:

  • a sheet of thick cardboard;
  • thick needle;
  • simple pencil;
  • set of multi-colored threads.

Getting started:

We take a sheet of thick cardboard and cut out a rectangle from it, which will serve as the basis for a future postcard. In the center of the postcard, carefully draw with a simple pencil the outline of the heart, which will be used for embroidery. You may not be able to draw a freehand heart perfectly straight. In this case, we recommend using a cookie cutter or a pre-made paper template.

Without threading a thick needle, make a perforation along the contour of the heart, as in the photo below. Then we thread the needle and embroider. The holes on the cardboard must be connected in any order. Now you know how to make a postcard for mom that will surprise you!

Idea 4: a voluminous card for Mother's Day

Making a voluminous postcard is not as difficult as it might seem. Our next master class is a vivid confirmation of this.

You will need:

Getting started:

Cut out small hearts from colored paper. The minimum quantity you need is eight. Keep in mind that the scale of the flower on the card will depend on the size of the hearts.

We fold all the paper hearts in half, and carefully begin to lay out in the shape of a circle, thus forming a flower. The petals on the base must be fixed with glue (just do not overdo it, one small smear is enough). You can use double-sided tape instead of glue. Admire the result: a stylish card with Mother's Day to your friend, sister, mom, grandmother or even a colleague is ready!

Idea 5: postcard with spring birds

You will need:

  • a set of colored cardboard;
  • a sheet of paper with a stylish ornament (sold in specialized stores, can be replaced with beautiful paper for gift wrapping);
  • a template with a silhouette of birds (feel free to take any that fits in size: we presented several options below);
  • workpiece in the shape of a circle with a curly edge;
  • some foamed tape.

Getting started:

Idea 6: card with voluminous flowers for Mother's Day

This postcard is not as easy as the previous options, so please be patient: everything about everything will take you about two hours.

You will need:

  • a sheet of thick white cardboard or paper (approximate size 23 x 31 centimeters);
  • several sheets of thin colored paper of different colors;
  • several types of floristic tape (at your discretion: you can use one type);
  • green chenille wire;
  • glue sticks or glue gun;
  • several glue crystals;
  • ruler;
  • a small amount of thin rep tape (preferably pink);
  • scissors.
