How to make a paper snowman for the wall. Volumetric snowman made of paper. Video about how to make a snowman from a bottle

A snowman standing near the Christmas tree will add variety to the New Year's interior of the house and special playfulness on the eve of the New Year. A paper snowman is quite easy to make with your own hands. Let's look at different options for making a snowman, we hope that something will interest you.

Making a three-dimensional paper snowman with your own hands

For work you will need the following materials:

  • sheets of white A4 paper;
  • red paper;
  • thread;
  • PVA glue;
  • tape (double-sided);
  • padding polyester;
  • marker (black);
  • cardboard.

Let's start making the snowman's head. To do this, you need to take a sheet of white paper and cut out a circle from it, the diameter of which will be 18 cm. It is necessary to make cuts around the circumference (no more than 3 cm). We quickly moisten the resulting circle in water and dry it with a napkin.

We make the snowman’s hands as follows: cut out two circles with a diameter of 12 cm from paper and make cuts of 1.5 cm each. Glue them with an overlap. Fill with padding polyester and glue the edges of the parts. After the glue has completely dried, we form ovals. The snowman's hands are ready.

Let's make the body. Cut out a pear shape from two white sheets of paper, one should be slightly smaller than the other. We cut the parts along the edges and glue them together. It turns out to be a bag. We fill it with padding polyester.

All the parts are ready, let's start assembling the snowman. Glue everything together with double-sided tape.

To make the craft stable, you can cut out a stand from cardboard that visually resembles legs and glue it to the snowman with double-sided tape. Add the missing details in the form of a carrot nose, eyes, and a cap made of colored paper. We finish drawing the smile and the snowman is ready to delight all the guests at home.

When making a three-dimensional snowman, you should remember: when making the head, the paper must get wet so that it is pliable in its formation, but in no case should it tear. Therefore, you need to work very quickly and carefully; After gluing the parts, do not rush to fill them with padding polyester, as you need to wait until the glue has completely dried.

Assembling a simple paper snowman for the window

You can decorate windows with paper snowmen. Snowman figures can be easily cut out from paper according to patterns, either using scissors or a clerical knife.

To beautifully, accurately and accurately draw and then cut out a template diagram you will need:

  • white paper A4;
  • ruler;
  • a simple pencil;
  • eraser;
  • stationery knife;
  • small scissors.

Options for cutting out snowmen from paper:

On the eve of the New Year, it’s so nice to watch the sparkling garlands and look at the stencils on the windows, because they can create a real winter fairy tale. You can cut out patterns together with your children, which will bring pleasure to both adults and kids.

A carved snowman in skillful hands can become a real work of art. The main thing is to concentrate and take your time to complete all the necessary actions. We print two copies of the snowman template on the printer, since it must be double-sided. We cut out the inner pattern with a stationery knife. For convenience, you can put a base made of dense material under the paper, such as a plasticine board or a regular kitchen cutting board. After the inner pattern is cut out, use scissors to cut out the snowman along the outline. At the bottom of the snowman there is a strip, with which we will give the product volume and connect the lower lock. You can see the result of the work by paying attention to the photo.

If you try to do everything carefully, such a slotted snowman will not leave anyone indifferent. The product can be placed near the computer, on the window or on the bedside table.

Making a paper applique “Snowman” with the children

A simple paper snowman can also be a decoration for your home interior, placed on a window, interior door or closet door. This applique can also be used as a New Year’s greeting card or an original decoration for a gift box.

Necessary materials for work:

  • colored cardboard (blue);
  • white A4 paper;
  • colored paper;
  • colour pencils;
  • glue.

Print out two copies of the snowman template on white paper. We glue one onto a cardboard base, from the second we cut out small parts: a carrot, a bucket, a broom, a scarf, mittens, birds and snow in order to then cut out parts of the applique from colored paper using their patterns.

Glue the cut out colored parts onto the white snowman. It's time to use colored pencils to draw the snowman's eyes, birds, and buttons. When the glue has completely set and dried, the application can be considered ready.

Snowman story

Have you ever thought about what the snowman outside your window symbolizes, and who was the first person in the whole world to think of making this winter beauty?

Now I will tell you an unusual and very interesting story of a snowman and reveal the secret of his birth.
Imagine, our beloved, cute snowmen in ancient times were sculpted into huge, evil snow monsters. After all, winters were once much colder, so they brought a lot of trouble to homes.

It was believed that making a snow woman on a full moon would bring misfortune and nightmares. And in Norway they believed that looking at snowmen at night from behind the curtains was dangerous! Meeting a snowy figure in the evening was considered a bad sign. Therefore, in the dark, they tried to avoid her. It was only later that snowmen became integral symbols of the winter holidays.

In Rus', snowmen have been sculpted since ancient times and were respected, just like the owner of winter, Frost. Snowmen were asked to reduce severe frosts. Our ancestors believed that blizzards and snowfalls were controlled by female spirits. That's why they sculpted snow women in their yards. It is interesting that other Europeans always considered the snow woman to be a special male. In English they called her "snowman".

Christian legend says that snowmen are angels. After all, snow is a gift from heaven. These winter heroes convey people's requests to God. Therefore, they sculpted a little snowman from freshly fallen snow and whispered their innermost desires to him. It was believed that as soon as the figurine melted, the wish would be taken to heaven and would certainly come true.

In Europe, snowmen were always luxuriously decorated: they were dressed up with garlands, wrapped in scarves and given large, thick brooms in their hands. The carrot nose appeased the spirits of harvest and fertility. An inverted bucket on the head symbolized wealth in the family.

An interesting custom of decorating a snowman with beads made from garlic heads existed in Romania. He protected the family from evil spirits and diseases.

According to an old legend, around 1493, the sculptor, poet and architect Michelangelo Buonarroti first made a snow figure. Historical data assures that the first written mention of a snowman can be found in one of the books of the 18th century, which tells about a “beautiful snowman” of enormous size.
His Majesty the snowman first graced a children's book published in Leipzig.

Only in the 19th century did snowmen “become” the kind heroes of New Year’s fairy tales, appearing on greeting cards and winning the love of children’s hearts.
All made of snow
White, white.
Carrot nose,
Chub saucepan.
On a winter day
He is the children's friend
Tell me who he is quickly. (Snowman)

Description of the Master class:

Mystery

They didn't raise him, they made him out of snow

Instead of a nose, they cleverly inserted a carrot,

Eyes are coals, lips are bitches.

Cold big.

Who is he? (Snowman)

For work we need: 1 sheet of white paper, size A 4 (for making the head), 1 sheet of white paper, size A 3- (for making the body - middle lump), 2 sheets of white paper, size A 3 (for making the largest bottom lump), ½ sheet of paper format A 4-2 pcs (for making handles), a square of orange colored paper 8x8 cm (for the carrot nose), a rectangle of red colored paper 4x15 cm (for making a bucket for the head), a strip of blue colored paper 1x18 cm (for a scarf), glue white PVA (for gluing parts), felt-tip pens, fabric napkin.

And also desire, patience, inspiration, imagination and a pair of skillful hands.

The craft making process consists of four main stages.

Stage 1. Preparing paper for making crafts, that is, creasing.

Stage 2. Forming volumetric parts (lumps) from prepared paper. By folding and tucking all corners and sides inward to form a ball.

Stage 3. Represents the assembly of parts, gluing.

Stage 4. Final. Decorating crafts and adding details to create the intended image.

But before you start making crafts, you need to stretch your hands and prepare them for work.

Finger gymnastics

We'll take some snow

We make snowballs in our palms.

(slapping with turning hands)

They threw them together

(we rush)

Our hands warmed up.

Now it's time to create

Sculpt a snow woman.

They rolled along, lump after lump

(stroking the palms of the hands in a circular motion)

They hoisted one after another

(hands in fist one at a time, one at a time, alternately)

Third small lump on top

The snow was shaken off my hands later

(shaking hands).

Let's start preparing the paper to make the largest ball, for the snowman. To do this, take a white sheet of A3 paper, crumple it into a ball, then unfold it, smooth it with your palms, returning it to the original shape of the sheet. Next, we crumple the sheet into a ball and squeeze it tightly in a fist with one hand, then with the other hand, unfold it and smooth it out. We repeat this procedure several times so that the sheet becomes soft and pliable.

We prepare the second A3 sheet in the same way, since the bottom one is the largest and for its manufacture we will need two A3 sheets.

We have prepared the paper, now we need to form a ball out of it. To do this, take a sheet of crumpled paper and begin to tuck all the corners and sides inward. We squeeze it in a fist, thus forming a ball (lump).

And to make the lump more voluminous, we take this ball, place it on a second prepared sheet of paper and wrap it around the ball, tucking the corners and sides in the same way. We form a lump for the bottom largest part of the snowman.

When the bottom lump is ready, you can begin making the second (middle) lump. To do this, take the same A3 sheet, crumple it and form a ball, also tucking the corners and sides inward.

Now we need to form the smallest lump (the snowman's head). We take a sheet of white A4 paper and, similarly to the previous ones, prepare the paper and form a ball.

Now all that remains is to make arms for our snowman. To do this, take ½ sheet of paper and form a ball, then a second one. We get 2 small lumps - the “handles” of the snowman.

From a square of orange colored paper, we form a nose - a carrot, in the shape of a cone.

All the blanks are ready - this is a large bottom lump, a middle lump, a snowman's head, 2 handles and a spout.

Now we move on to the next stage of work, that is, assembling parts and gluing parts.

To do this, take the largest one (the bottom lump) and apply PVA glue to the very center of it, put the middle lump on it and firmly press one lump to the other to better glue it.

Glue the head in the same way.

All that remains is to attach the handles to the snowman; we will glue them to the side of the body on the middle lump.

Time goes by very quickly and, despite the fact that there is no smell of snow now, the winter months will not take long to arrive! New Year 2020 is coming soon, the symbol of which is the White Rat. Pragmatic people prepare for everything in advance, maybe we should learn this too, so that the holiday does not take us by surprise. By the New Year, stores begin selling a variety of toys. But to decorate your home for the holiday, you can not only buy ready-made accessories, but also make them yourself. A DIY snowman is an original toy that makes the atmosphere festive.

Snowman made of corrugated paper

A wonderful snowman can be made from ordinary corrugated paper. Even a child can handle this job.

  • Corrugated paper (black, red and white);
  • Plasticine (it is better to take plasticine of a light shade);
  • Toothpicks.

Manufacturing process:

  1. We take plasticine and roll “snow balls” out of it for our snowman according to the principle from large to small.
  2. Now you need to make squares from white corrugated paper. Cut out squares measuring 20 by 20 mm from paper.
  3. Then, one by one, put a toothpick into each paper square and roll it into a tube. Thus, we make a tube on a stick. This must be done with all squares.
  4. Starting from the bottom, string the resulting tubes on a stick onto a plasticine snowman. Please note that we stick in a circle not very tightly to each other. This way we cover the snowman completely. The end result is a cute paper snowman.
  5. Then we make his hands from black corrugated paper.
  6. Using red paper we make a bucket for the head and spout.
  7. Our snowman is ready!

Snowman made from a sock

Making such a snowman does not take much time. Anyone who wants to can cope with this task.

To make it you will need:

  • White sock;
  • Strong white threads;
  • Needle;
  • Scissors;
  • Pins with bright heads;
  • Buttons;
  • Glue;
  • A piece of scarf material;
  • Wide tape.

Manufacturing process:

  1. The sock is cut into 2 parts so that its lower part does not have a heel - this is a snowman's cap, and the base is created at the top.
  2. The top of the sock is turned inside out. The heel part must be bandaged, then turned inside out so that there is a pouch.
  3. The sock is pulled over a roll of tape and filled with rice.
  4. The snowman should be shaped and tied with thread
  5. The neck of the toy is tied with thread. This is how the head is separated from the rest.
  6. Then you need to tie a scarf around your neck and put on a hat from the rest of the sock.
  7. Then the buttons are glued, and the pins will serve as the eyes and nose.

This completes the making of the snowman! Such a simple and at the same time beautiful toy will create a suitable New Year's atmosphere.

  4. We lay out the cotton wool into pieces or scatter ready-made cotton balls. Dip cotton wool in glue and glue it onto a cardboard figure of a snowman. Thus, you need to cover the entire surface on one side.
  5. We glue our prepared branches-handles onto the reverse side.
  6. All that remains is to draw or cut out eyes, a carrot nose, a mouth, and buttons from colored paper.
  7. The snowman is ready! You can glue a loop to it so that the craft can be hung on the Christmas tree; you can use a disposable plate to make a base for stability.

Snowman made from yogurt cups

If you want a cool idea for creating a creative snowman, then here you go. Surely you have a small number of plastic bottles of drinking yogurt or kefir lying around your house?! Call your kids to admire your masterpiece and help you create such beautiful crafts!

To make it you will need:

  • a bottle of drinking fermented milk product;
  • a plastic cup of yogurt;
  • colored paper in red, orange and black;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • small foam ball;
  • White paper;
  • stationery knife;
  • black nail polish.

Manufacturing process:

  1. To create an unusual little snowman, you will need to take one medium-sized plastic bottle and a foam ball corresponding to the size of this container.
  2. Using a stationery knife, carefully cut a hole in our ball so that you can place it on the neck of the bottle. This will be the head of our product.
  3. After the body has been outlined, we will need to place a headdress on the glue - it will be a cup of yogurt.
  4. From colored paper we cut out the hands of our fairy-tale character, a broom, a scarf, a nose in a triangle and a mouth - a smile. We attach all elements with PVA glue.
  5. We make the eyes and buttons on the body from ordinary nail polish. That's the whole trick of our craft! Create a lot of these tricks together with your child, place them throughout the house: on window sills, on dressers, on the kitchen and holiday tables! Surround them with tangerines and sweets, rain and tinsel to feel the mood of celebration!

Cool snowman made of metal caps

With a snowman made from plastic bottles, we seem to have told you everything, and now your husband’s task is to collect a small amount of metal caps from beer or lemonade. Yes - yes, exactly, lids, since we will have to make a cool snowman out of them like in the photo. If you want to learn more about this, then let’s start immediately with our step-by-step master class.

To make it you will need:

  • metal beer caps;
  • hot glue;
  • glitter nail polish;
  • orange and black nail polish;
  • red yarn for a scarf;
  • satin ribbon for attaching to the Christmas tree.

Manufacturing process:

  1. We take three metal lids and fasten them together with hot glue.
  2. Then we transform the inside white part of the lid with glitter nail polish so that it sparkles under the mechanical lights.
  3. We design the Snowman's face. For this purpose we need to use black and orange nail polish. We draw eyes, a mouth and a nose - a carrot. It would also not hurt to depict buttons on the body of our craft, created with our own hands from scrap materials.
  4. Now our fairy-tale character has come to life, smiling cheerfully and cheerfully at us, but to complete the picture, a red scarf made of soft yarn for knitting is not enough. We cut off a small part of the threads and tie it around the neck of the snow hero to your taste.
  5. All that remains is to attach a satin ribbon at the base of the head so that you can easily hang our snowman on the tree for the New Year 2020.

  1. So, the cotton wool, if it is rolled into a tight ball, needs to be fluffed up.
  2. We wet our hands in water and soap them, after which we roll two balls out of cotton wool, one larger, the other smaller.
  3. Rolling the balls will be very easy. We dilute the glue slightly with water, after which we lubricate the cotton balls with the resulting mixture.
  4. We connect the balls using a toothpick and place cotton balls on it.
  5. We cover our Snowman with a layer of glitter, which will create the illusion of a snowball.
  6. How to make a carrot nose? Wrap a little cotton wool around the tip of a toothpick, then paint it with bright orange paint.
  7. Break off a toothpick with cotton wool and insert it into the ball - the head.
  8. We make the eyes and mouth of the fairy-tale character from black beads, and the arms from twigs.
  9. Let the craft dry for about three to four hours.

Making a snowman from threads

You already know how to make crafts from cotton wool, and now let’s try to make a snowman from threads and glue for the New Year 2020. Look at the photo and instructions below and try it.

To make it you will need:

  • white threads,
  • glue,
  • three balloons.

Manufacturing process:

  1. We inflate balloons of three different sizes - a “head” and two balloons for the body.
  2. We take the first ball, coat it with glue and, holding it by the tip, wrap it with threads over the entire area.
  3. Having wound the first layer, we smear the threads with glue, after which we make another layer.
  4. Set the ball aside, giving it time to dry. In the same way we make two more balls, larger in size.
  5. How to remove a ball from a ball of thread? Very simple! Once the glue dries, you just need to pierce the ball and pull it through the threads.
  6. Now the balls need to be connected to each other, slightly pressing at the points of fastening.
  7. Let's decorate the head of our product - the eyes can be made from beads, the mouth from black thread or also from beads, and the nose - a carrot can be made from cotton wool and a toothpick. In this simple way, it is quite possible to make a snowman with your own hands from scrap materials for the New Year, quickly and beautifully!
