Personality picture. Since in most cases it is not possible to clearly date the onset of the disease, it is difficult to talk about the situation causing it.

Since in most cases it is not possible to clearly date the onset of the disease, it is difficult to talk about the situation causing it. However, certain internal conflicts have been described as causal situations (Gentry, et al., 1982; Irvine, et al., 1991; Saab, Schneiderman, 1993). Arterial hypertension often begins when a person is in a situation of chronic tense expectation (Grace, Graham, 1952). Typical statements of hypertensive patients: “I have to be ready for anything”, “I am such that I take on all the difficulties”, “no one will hold me back, I am ready for anything”. The provocative situations are often prolonged states of fear, lack of time, and increasing tension. In addition, situations are described in which there is a possibility of discharging hostility and aggressiveness, but this does not happen due to inhibition or scrupulousness.

Numerous experiments with both animals and humans have shown that fear, anger and anger increase blood pressure and that chronic emotional stress can lead to persistent hypertension (Coeher, 1971, Groen et al., 1971; Angermeier, Peters, 1973; Cannon , 1953; Reindell et al., 1971). It is generally accepted that hypertensive patients have chronically suppressed aggression associated with fear.

For patients with hypertension, a typical neurotic personality structure with a predominance of obsessive states is described, as a result of which internal and external conflicts often arise, which complicates emotional discharge (Groen et al., 1971).

_____________________

The fact that essential hypertension is common in members of the same family can be interpreted in terms of “psychological inheritance” (Hermann et al., 1989). Experimental studies show that patients with hypertension tend to increase blood pressure even in situations that do not cause any changes in pressure in normotonics (Hodapp, Weyer, 1982).

According to Alexander (2002), the central point of the psychodynamics of a patient with essential hypertension is the constant struggle with the growing hostile-aggressive feeling. At the same time, there are difficulties in self-affirmation. Patients are afraid of losing the favor of others and therefore control the manifestations of their hostility. During childhood, they are usually prone to bouts of rage and aggression. A formerly aggressive child, an adult becomes emphatically compliant, cannot stand up for himself. Understanding the possibility of losing, because of his aggressiveness, the disposition of family and friends forces the child to control his hostility and hide it. Patients with arterial hypertension are constantly irritable if faced with overwhelming resistance. Their life imposes on them the role of a "draft horse". They are stuck for many years in the same job and rarely change firms, even if they are underpaid. If they achieve leadership positions, it is difficult for them to become an authority for others. They do the work for others instead of discipline. From this over-conscientious and extreme behavior with an excessive sense of responsibility, heightened feelings of anger, dislike and aggressiveness are born, which over time require more and more efforts to contain them. This is how a vicious circle develops, which leads to a chronic state of tension. A characteristic situation that provokes the disease is life conflicts that mobilize hostility and the desire for self-affirmation and at the same time make it impossible to freely express them.

Initially, these traits were found in the observed behavior of patients. Further studies have shown that, in comparison with normotonics, their perception of conflict and stress is changed. For example, flight dispatchers are threatened by pressure not only

when they identify with their profession and are adaptive and courteous to coworkers, but also when they do not perceive and deny work stress (Rose et al. 1978).

In the formation of hypertension, direct interaction in the family also plays a role, which has been shown in studies of conflict behavior in families with a hypertensive father, in which the family was studied as a clinical unity, based on a systemic vision of symptoms (Baer et al., 1959, 1933; Ba-er , 1983).

The personality structure of a family member - for example, the conflict-aggressive impulse of hypertension - affects the interaction behavior of the family as a whole (“family accumulation” of essential hypertension). In every family, rules are formed between parents and children, according to which conflicts are regulated; in families with a hypertensive father, children have less effective opportunities for coping and resolving conflicts, as evidenced by the predominance of negative non-verbal communication in these families (for example, not giving an answer, turning your head away, avoiding eye contact). Various studies indicate that limited perception of conflict and stress and conflict avoidance correlate with the onset of high blood pressure, that is, these are the types of behavior that children acquire in the process of socialization in the family from a hypertensive father. This point of view, along with the genetic component, could reveal a complementary aspect of the possible reproduction of essential hypertension (Theorell, 1990; Luban-Plozza et al., 2000).

Family interaction is characterized by a kind of prohibition on speech or communication, which also affects the non-verbal sphere, as a result of which understanding, observing, controlling, inhibiting activities prevail, while giving, communicating, participating expressions rarely appear (Kroger, Petzold, 1985).

A single personality structure for all patients with arterial hypertension has not been established. However, with the widespread and wide variety of forms of the disease, this should not be expected.

And yet, among the psychosomatically examined pre-selected patients, certain personality traits are constantly repeated. Hypertensive patients are described

_______________________Cardiovascular diseases

as hardworking people, committed to duty, sociable, with a great sense of responsibility. In this regard, they have internal and external conflicts from which they cannot emotionally distance themselves. In their specific attitude of modesty, they abandon their needs in favor of others, wanting to get their approval from them and not provoke aggression or hostility. It is these signs, described independently by different researchers as a willingness to help, shyness, chronically suppressed aggressiveness, and constitute the manifest personality traits, which are of great importance for the formation of characteristic reactions of suppressing needs perceived as dangerous. The manifest features of the perception of the environment and behavior in many hypertensive patients is a form of protection against their own aggressive impulses (Cottington et al., 1986; Diamond, 1982).

Most patients with essential hypertension usually lack proper awareness of their illness. From a psychoanalytic standpoint, outwardly incorrect neurotic behavior is ideologically justified by the desire to be active and to help people. But even with this unfavorable initial situation, in some cases, changes can be achieved if, thanks to the maturation of the personality, its one-sided orientation is eliminated and the person as a whole begins to orientate himself in life in a new way.

Manifest personality traits of a patient with arterial hypertension, his diligence and orderly behavior, contact, accuracy and conscientiousness impress, make him, it would seem, a pleasant, compliant patient. However, it should be remembered that a hypertensive person in most cases does not verbalize his aggressiveness, ambition and desire for rivalry, which often remain latent. This can be felt by trying to have a lasting impact on the patient's lifestyle. His low compliance with the necessary long-term therapeutic program, during which the patient usually cannot fulfill his needs and even cannot express his judgments and attitudes that contradict the therapeutic program, often complicates the relationship between the psychotherapist and the patient. In labor and family crisis situations, and especially in latent conflicts in relations with a psychotherapist, patients

Is there a rule governing the choice of two or two in compound words? How to guess that bilingual is written without X, and bilingual, for example, with X? Many thanks.

It is difficult to guess this without a dictionary. In most cases options with the first part two- and two- are equal, but a dictionary check is still required (for example, by the "Russian spelling dictionary" in the "Word check" on our portal).

Question No. 235966
I always thought that German surnames are inclined. For example, Hitler, about Hitler, etc. However, I have acquaintances of Russian Germans who assure that their surname is not inclined. How to be? Thank you in advance.

Russian language help desk response

The declension / non-declension of surnames depends primarily on which sound (consonant or vowel, stressed or unstressed) the surname ends in. At the same time, the linguistic affiliation of the surname In most cases does not matter. If we talk about surnames ending in a consonant, then the following rules apply here: male surnames are inclined, female surnames are not.
Question No. 234104
Hello, please answer me if ( In most cases) "first of all" an introductory phrase, and whether it is necessary to separate it with commas in the middle of the sentence. I already asked this question 2 days ago, I have not received an answer. For clarity, I will give an example: "The choice of teaching technologies depends primarily on the age of the students." Are commas before and after "first of all" needed here? Best regards, Olga.

Russian language help desk response

The words _first of all_ can act as introductory words and as members of the proposition, however, it is often difficult to distinguish between these cases, and the decision on isolation is made by the author of the text. It is better not to put commas in the given example.

Question No. 230294
Hello! I would like to know why in the days of the USSR most words had only one stress, but now these same words have acquired the so-called permissible meanings? I am already afraid to criticize people for the fact that they mispronounce this or that word, because at any moment someone from the well-known Russian Academy of Sciences will take and resolve the second stress. Of course, I understand that the language must constantly evolve, but at such a pace we will soon reach a time when any word will have several permissible stresses, and the phrase "correct pronunciation" will be an empty sound. Thanks!

Russian language help desk response

Indeed, in recent years the literary norm has softened somewhat. Although in the days of the USSR, many words had equal variants of stressing, the general tendency was noticed by you correctly. In recent decades, there has been a kind of "democratization" of the norm: much of what was previously prohibited by dictionaries has now become acceptable and sometimes preferable. There are several reasons for this.
Firstly, orthoepic dictionaries were previously focused not only on a wide range of native speakers, but also (and even first of all) on radio and television announcers, in whose speech there should not be any inconsistency. Therefore the options In most cases were not indicated; double stress in words was given only when, with all desire, it was impossible to give preference to one of the options. Nowadays, many dictionaries strive to reflect the dynamics of the literary norm, so sometimes they also cite as acceptable variants that are not yet aesthetically acceptable for all native speakers (for example, _Contraction, no sock_), but will undoubtedly become so in the future.
Secondly, the attitude of lexicographers to the variance of the norm has changed. For example, here is a quote from the preface to the orthoepic dictionary of the Russian language published in 1959: “The presence of fluctuations (variants) often violates the correctness of speech and thereby reduces its intelligibility. This is especially intolerable for various forms of oral public speech. " Now this intolerance has passed; in the opinion of many linguists, lexicographic activity should not be reduced to "either artificial preservation of the remnants of the language, or to an uncompromising prohibition of linguistic neoplasms" (KS Gorbachevich).
Finally, changes in language followed the changes in social and political life. Now the understanding has come that following the norm also includes the ability to choose according to the situation of verbal communication. In other words, along with unambiguous rules, the norm also presupposes the possibility of choice. This distinction was very aptly formulated by B.S.Schwarzkopf (in his article on quotation marks) as a distinction between rule and right... The right to choose (including the choice of a variant of a linguistic unit) and recognition of the right of another native speaker to a different choice is the most important component of verbal communication.

I asked a question about the spelling of the word "Allocation" (one or two "l"), which is derived from the English "Allocation". Is there any rule in Russian spelling about the writing of such derivatives. In the literature, with which I come across, there is a spelling with both one and two "l". You are kindly requested to answer. Best wishes! Anatoly.

Hello. Help to distinguish OTHERWISE the introductory word from the union. Doesn't the same moment act here as with HOWEVER (at the beginning of the sentence - the union, in the middle - the introductory word)? Thanks.

Russian language help desk response

ANYWHERE - union and introductory word.
1. Union. The same as "however, still, nevertheless."
_ Little by little, everyone who has finished quite important homework, such as those who have talked with their doctor about the weather and about a small pimple that jumped on their nose, who have learned about the health of their horses and children, who have shown great talents, who have read the poster and important an article in newspapers about those arriving and leaving, who finally drank a cup of coffee and tea ... N. Gogol, Nevsky Prospect. _
2. An introductory word indicating that the author moves to another thought or, expressing his thought, experiences indecision, doubt. As a rule, the introductory word can be removed from the sentence.
_Akakiy Akakievich began to make excuses, but everyone began to say that it was impolite, that it was just shame and disgrace, and he certainly could not refuse. However, it later became pleasant to him when he remembered that he would then have the opportunity to walk even in the evening in a new greatcoat. N. Gogol, Overcoat. “I wished with all my heart to be what you would like me to be; but I never found help in anyone ... However, I myself am primarily to blame for everything. Help me, teach me, and maybe I will ... ”- Pierre could not speak further; he sniffled and turned away. L. Tolstoy, War and Peace. Today was the chairman of the house committee, examined the complaint about the dog. Beam won. However, my guest judged like Solomon. Nugget! G. Troepolsky, White Bim Black Ear._
In most cases the word "however", located at the beginning of the sentence, serves as an introductory word and is separated by a comma from the following words. The word "however", located at the junction of two parts of a complex sentence, usually acts as a union.
Question No. 222316
About the answer to question 222254. About the book “Rules of Russian Spelling and Punctuation. Complete academic reference book "(editor-in-chief VV Lopatin). It is not entirely clear what you mean by "It can be guided precisely as a reference manual." Does this book replace the book by DE Rosenthal "A Guide to Spelling and Literary Editing"? Both books are reference books. Previously, the main book of the editor / proofreader was "Rosenthal". Now you have to forget about it and switch to "lopatin"? Which of these authors should be believed in cases of disagreement?

Russian language help desk response

As old Müller said, in our time you cannot trust anyone, sometimes even yourself :)
The fact is that the last lifetime edition of Rosenthal's handbook was published in the early 1990s, and all further reprints of this book were prepared by editors and proofreaders after the death of Ditmar Elyashevich. And some of the recommendations offered in this handbook (for example, to write _to Ukraine_) seem to be very controversial. In addition, Rosenthal's handbook lags somewhat behind modern writing practice.
As for the complete academic reference book "Rules of Russian Spelling and Punctuation", among its authors are leading researchers of the VV Vinogradov Institute of the Russian Language of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other linguistic institutions, who have prepared more than one reference manual. So, N. A. Eskova - the author of the "Brief Dictionary of the Difficulties of the Russian Language", L. K. Cheltsova - one of the authors of the "Reference Book of the Publisher and the Author" (together with A. E. Milchin), N. S. Valgin - one from the leading modern specialists in syntax and punctuation.
Our recommendation is to use both books, there are not so many discrepancies between them, and in case of inconsistency in the recommendations, in our opinion, it is preferable In most cases be guided by the complete academic reference book.

Russian language help desk response

In most cases the words are, of course, separated by commas. However, as the reference book on punctuation by D. E. Of course it is_. "

"of course (,) there are problems ..." is a comma put? if so, in what cases is the comma not put after "of course"? thanks

Russian language help desk response

In most cases the words are _of course_ separated by commas. However, as the reference book on punctuation by D.E. Rosenthal points out, “sometimes the word _finitely_, pronounced in a tone of confidence, conviction, acquires the meaning of an affirmative particle and does not stand out punctually: _Of course it is true! Of course it is_ ". In this case, in our opinion, it is better to put a comma: _Of course, problems arise_.
