Instructions:

For each tier we make exactly 11 pieces.
We apply a template to the cardboard. It is cut along the solid lines of the workpiece, then they are bent and folded in the shape of a triangle.
We glue the nose, as well as the side edge of each piece.
We first fold the short sides inward, and fold the long sides on top and fix them in the cuts made.
We put the ends together and use a hole punch to make small holes.
You need to stretch the ribbon through the hole, then wrap the workpiece with a ribbon in the middle. We pull the ribbon through the next hole, then tighten the edges into a bow shape.
Each piece of cake is decorated with a variety of decorative elements.
We take a stand-plate and place all 11 triangles on it, which we fasten together with double-sided tape.

How to make a cake from corrugated paper?

We take foam plastic and draw a circle of a pre-selected diameter on it. Then a figure is cut out along the contour using a sharp knife. If thin material is used, then several parts are cut out and fastened together.

First, we take the straws and carefully cut them.
The straws are folded and a not very long piece of twine is stretched between them. Then we fix everything together with tape.
Take yellow crepe paper and make a fringe. Then it is carefully twisted around the straws and secured with a small piece of tape.

Making your own gift wrapping

Our cake consists of 12 box pieces. You can make them all the same color or multi-colored. I chose five bright colors and used pastel paper. It is quite dense and comfortable to work with.

In order for the pieces of thick colored paper to be the same, we need a template. You can draw it yourself, according to your dimensions, or take a ready-made one. If you print our template, stretching it onto an A4 sheet, the result will be pieces 12 cm long, 6 cm wide and 5 cm high.

Advice: Such small boxes with souvenirs or sweets will come in handy both at a children's party and at an adult celebration, where a personalized piece of cake can be placed on the festive table next to each guest's seat.

You can print the template directly onto sheets of thick colored paper, or print one, cut it out and trace the outline on colored paper.

I outlined only the outer borders of the template with a pencil, and drew the inner ones with scissors using a ruler. It is much more convenient to fold the workpiece along the intended folds.

Cut and fold along the fold lines. Lubricate it in two places with glue, you can use PVA, but it needs to be held longer for gluing. I worked with Moment transparent glue.

We collect and glue all the pieces of the cake according to the template.

Now, using a sharp blade, carefully make a cut in the back of the workpiece so that the boxes close.

Let's start with the decor. I took a 1cm wide white satin ribbon and used glue to wrap it around the cake pieces. Don't forget to leave a clear space to close the boxes.

For decorative bows we will need identical pieces of ribbon 14-15 cm long.

First, we fix the blank with glue, as in the photo. Here it is more convenient to use Cosmofen glue, just make sure that it does not spread, otherwise the bows will be stiff.
