The show is a great wash. Andrei Malakhov has been digging through the dirty linen of the Russians for years, but has not got his hands dirty. Rise of "Let Them Talk"

The main topic of the television August is leaving Channel One. While the media are trying to figure out why the TV presenter decided to leave his native Channel One, whether he will go to competitors on "Russia 1", and if not, then what will he do and who will replace him in "Let them talk." decided to tell what Malakhov actually did to television, for which he is respected even by those who fiercely hate all his programs.

***
Andrey Malakhov loves to tell a story about a kettle. In the early 1990s, he was among the best students in the Faculty of Journalism was sent for an internship in the United States. He lived for a year and a half in America and did an internship at the prestigious University of Michigan. Later, he admits that it was there that he realized how rich and expressive television can be.

Returning to his homeland, he found that while a whole new world flashed before his eyes, absolutely nothing had changed on Russian TV. Only in the native edition there was a new teapot. Apparently, it was then that he felt: something definitely needed to be changed.

The western masters of television made a great impression on the young Malakhov. In Russia, the talk show genre was just emerging, and in America it has been developing for more than a dozen years. Therefore, having honed his skills in the Good Morning program on ORT, the young presenter tried to apply what he saw in the United States in practice. His colleague on the morning broadcast, Larisa Krivtsova, noted that Malakhov gushed with ideas on how to diversify the broadcast with the help of interactives: he collected gifts for children, rescued stray dogs and urged viewers to massively wash windows. At the same time, in the frame he always behaved intelligently and benevolently.

Further "Good morning" Malakhov was not allowed on the channel. Then Krivtsova, fed up with work in the frame and interested in directing, invited the journalist to come up with a show personally "for him." The novice presenter did not particularly believe in this venture, but remembered how, during an internship in the United States, he was impressed by a show with a conversation between two people in the background of a working washing machine. Krivtsova and Malakhov corrected the concept, adding mass character to it. Thus was born "Big wash" - a talk show about everyday problems that are not accepted to be brought out to the public.

"Big washing"

Here, without unnecessary delicacy, the entire studio discussed intimate life, family problems, the love affairs of husbands and the details of the personal life of the stars. And they also understood the psychology of lies, took the heroes out into the open, invited psychics, arranged hypnosis sessions and concerts with dances.

The project made a small revolution in the genre. Compared to other non-political talk shows of the early 2000s, Big Washing looked like an unbalanced, at times freaky, half-naked girl dancing a cancan. Against this background, the main competitor of Big Washing, the My Family program, seemed like a boring family gathering. The stories that were shared in "My Family" under masks and changing their voice were discussed openly, loudly and with the whole world at Malakhov's.

Some people call "The Big Wash" tracing paper from Jerry Springer's American trash show. However, Springer was far from the level of trash. (However, this gap was soon filled with a staged talk show "Windows" with Dmitry Nagiyev, which is closest to the American original - approx. "Lenta.ru"). However, TV critics found the program terribly low-quality. They wrote that Channel One exploits the viewers' interest in dirty linen, Malakhov was called a "vulgar presenter", and the judgments of the studio guests were wretched.

But this did not stop Malakhov himself. Kryvtsova, who was the producer of the program, recalled that at first he received a penny, but worked with wild energy. For several years, he managed to sort out a lot of styles and manners. For example, in the early years he tried to be restrained, and even while watching a hypnosis session in the studio, he behaved seriously and sympathetically.

At the same time, at first, Malakhov, under the sight of television cameras, stumbled over words every now and then, could not find expressions and, it seemed, was able to read only from a piece of paper. For a professional presenter, this is tantamount to failure, but the audience quickly fell in love with the direct and who could seem sincere Malakhov. He liberated himself no less quickly and got used to it, and his confused speech, replete with frequent “uh-uh,” turned into a meme, like the phrase “Good afternoon! Good afternoon! Good afternoon! Your favorite talk show "Big wash" "and its various variations are on the air.

Failure of "Five Evenings"

The last issue of "Big Washing" was released in July 2004. According to Malakhov, the program was closed because of its frivolity, and not at all because of low ratings. Moreover, he sincerely believes that in this way he was tested for the subtlety of the mental organization. On Channel One, they explained that the program had outlived its usefulness, and the presenter himself felt cramped within the format.

It was rumored within the program that the complaints were not addressed to Malakhov, but to the producer of "Washing" Larisa Krivtsova. Since 2004, the talk show with Malakhov was handed over to the director of the Special Projects Studio of Channel One, which was designed to reformat the program.

Nikonova went for an experiment: the program was added to respectability and made thematic, and not tied to specific events. The program was named "Five Evenings", and its advertising slogan read "Malakhov has become more serious." He now discussed pensions, low cost of living, crime in Russia, and other social and political issues, including the US elections. “Treshevoy television has never been close to Channel One. Decent figures in an indecent way are not our way, ”Nikonova explained in an interview a few years later.

Frame: video of the First channel

However, the new format “did not work” - the ratings of the project were steadily falling. They tried to find a better time on the air, but in vain. In addition, the creators failed the main thing - to keep the announced seriousness. The program then looking for recipes for eternal youth, then discussed the virginity of the star "House-2". After not holding out for a year, "Five Evenings" closed. Nikonova believes that the reason for the failure was the rejection of the event approach.

“It was a thematic talk show that had lost its relevance by that time. Now no topic can be a reason for discussion on television - the viewer is only interested in events. Events in the life of the country, in the lives of people, - explained the producer. - And the next program with Andrey Malakhov "Let them talk" became the founder of a new genre - the genre of history. " This was indicated by the slogan: "Non-fictional stories about which it is impossible to remain silent."

Rise of "Let Them Talk"

"Let them talk" turned out to be the most tenacious television project with Malakhov. It has been around for 12 years and is one of the highest rated on the channel.

There is no less trash in it, if not more, than in "Washing". The average hero of the program is a resident of the hinterland, suffered from cruelty or injustice, who came to the program with his story in search of truth and protection. In the studio, they analyze, for example, why the wife deceived her husband, who is the father of the child, they talk about rape in the family and bullying in orphanages. All this is generously seasoned with scandals and fights. Selected selections of the best Let Them Talk are easy to find on YouTube.

The gloomy style of the program is diluted with festive issues dedicated to the Olympics, analysis of the results of Eurovision, or programs about viral videos on the Internet.

The favorite theme of “Let them talk” is the scandalous details of the life of celebrities: drug addiction, intimate life, the beating of his wife by Marat Basharov and other non-fictional stories about which it is really hard to remain silent.

However, the "yellow" tint of programs with Malakhov's participation does not seem to affect the presenter's reputation. Malakhov is a successful showman, editor-in-chief of the publication about the life of stars, recently the face of the glasses brand and always a welcome guest at social events. He has repeatedly noted that he is not an ideologue of Let Them Talk, because he is only an employee who receives a salary. And this is true - although Malakhov looks like the owner of his programs, he is decorated as an employee of the Special Projects Studio of Channel One and has repeatedly emphasized that the topics are not approved by him, but by the producers, who, moreover, do not always respond with enthusiasm to his suggestions.

When asked by critics about whether he is disgusted with being involved in projects that exploit other people's tears and pain, Malakhov usually objects that “Let them talk” is a mirror of Russian reality and that is why it is so popular with the audience. In an interview with GQ, he even compared “Let Them Talk” with creativity. “Theoretically, these are some kind of Chekhov's stories about Russian life today, only with the ability to connect viewers and admirers of the program to help those whose stories we are telling,” the TV presenter believes.

End of an era

According to media reports, after 16 years of working on first-channel talk shows, the presenter decided to change his job. According to versions, Malakhov thought to part with the TV channel after Nikonova returned to work on the show, who at one time relaunched the "Big wash". For the past few years, she has worked on, in particular, on the show "Live" - a direct competitor to "Let Them Talk".

According to the sensational version of Elle magazine, the departure of the Channel One star is completely connected with the fact that the management refused to let him go on maternity leave. Officially, the "transfer" has not yet been announced, however, on August 7, the media reported that the TV presenter, who was on vacation, had nevertheless submitted a letter of resignation.

On the same day, another piece of news appeared, which some considered symbolic. Malakhov posted on Twitter a photo of the questionnaire upon check-in at the hotel, in which he identified himself as a blogger.

The fact is that quite recently the TV presenter really got his own video blog on YouTube, which soon gained wide popularity. The TV star releases videos about the heroes of her programs, in particular about Diana Shurygina and Alexei Panin, posts videos from planning meetings in StarHit and learns to interact with the Internet audience.

At the end of June, he announced the imminent launch of new headings, in particular, the program "Aftor zhzhot" with a review of funny videos. Programs with the same name were periodically aired as part of Let Them Talk. Given the rapid growth of the channel (in less than three months, he scored over 6.5 million views), Malakhov has every chance to realize himself as a video blogger, regardless of producers and TV channels.

Malakhov's colleagues in the shop insist that he has long outgrown the teleformat and is ripe for a more global independent undertaking. “I’m sure if you create a separate TV channel -“ Andrey ”, for example, or, there,“ Hello, Andrey! ”- he could bring his target audience to ecstasy around the clock,” the general director of the channel “Pyatnitsa” is convinced.

"Big wash", "Five evenings", "Let them talk" ... 10 years have passed. What has changed in the minds of people during this time? What happened to the characters after the broadcast? And how was the program able to help them?

Channel One presents a special project dedicated to Andrey Malakhov's talk show!

It cannot be said that a cozy atmosphere reigns in his programs. But this is where the real nerve hits on television. You cannot say about such projects that you like or dislike them. But they are always in the spotlight of the general public and leave few people indifferent.

For 10 years, since the airing of the first edition of the program "Big wash", Andrei Malakhov has come a long way in the profession. And now it is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after and popular TV journalists in the country. Serious passions are always simmering in his studio, scandalous, shocking confessions sound, genuine human dramas are played out. Celebrities appear before the audience without their secular masks, ordinary citizens become nationwide overnight. And then for a long time disputes about plots and topics do not subside throughout the country and already outside the framework of television broadcasting.

These shows have become the hallmark of television over the past decades, and their host is one of its most striking figures.

The host of Bolshoy Wash, a former secular correspondent for the Good Morning program, Andrei Malakhov, is becoming a symbol of the new yellow television journalism.

    1. Andrei Malakhov

host of the programs "Big wash", "Five evenings", "Let them talk"

- These are your methods, your behavior - where did it come from?

The year I was studying in America influenced me the most. The good thing about television is that you can, shall we say, practice while lying on the couch. The main thing is to watch a lot. You find hosts you like, and then you need to carefully study literally everything: facial expressions, gestures, behavior, appearance, read their interviews, follow what is happening in their lives. Ten years ago, American television was extremely promising. It seemed that we would not grow up to them. But when we are doing Eurovision now, it is clear that this is the level to which we can only strive further.

- They often say about you that you are chasing a rating. This is true?

Yes. If a journalist can find harmony with himself, then it is not in money. It is in the sense of the rating, in the numbers that you see the next morning. This is really comparable to orgasm. There is nothing like the feeling that the audience has chosen you. Everyone can persuade themselves that above 20 percent is good, but we ourselves are happy when the share is 30 percent. And we must understand that 44 is already the President's New Year address.

- That is, the share is more important than the essence of the program?

No, share is a reflection of what the country wants to hear. The country recognizes itself in heroes. Moreover, 30 percent are not always on VIP history. It may be some kind of simple family drama - but you understand that you have touched on the people sitting in front of the TV that they may not be able to articulate for themselves. You showed them themselves as they are.

Do you have any barriers? Immersion in dirty laundry - is it necessary or are you internally convinced that it is necessary?

I'm not convinced of anything. When some say that they do not watch federal channels ... It is clear that one can refuse to watch "Fashionable Sentence". This is a chewing gum for housewives, although it has its own inner message - spring is outside, go paint, get a haircut, change your life. But if you don’t watch us, if you think that this doesn’t happen, then either you drive a Mercedes with a flashing light, or you don’t know the country in which you live. All that we show is Russia of the XXI century. Of course, we want Skolkovo, we want to be the first on Mars, but the reality is that 30% of the country's population does not have toilets in their apartments.

- You are now quoting Putin, by the way.

I am just speaking as a person who has just returned from Murmansk (although there was a toilet where I lived). Pity is not the best feeling, but inwardly I endlessly feel sorry for people who live this way. I remember myself at the age of 15: I wanted to leave Apatity for the city of Murmansk, because it seemed to me that it was the most beautiful city on Earth. When I moved from Murmansk to Moscow, I thought that Moscow was the height of civilization. Right now we are sitting in Turandot - you can probably say that this is the height of civilization, look for such a restaurant in New York. But when you find yourself in the South Butovo area, in the Shashlychnaya cafe or in the Non-Stop cafe, you understand that the reality is always a little different.

- As for reality: did you use actors in the show?

The Big Laundry concept for the first season and a half was based on the fact that we had real stories. But when they could not call someone on the air, actors were added to the real participants. And that was a production. Then we refused this - the newspapers, seeing the ratings, began to investigate and write that everything was fake, other channels began to clone and exaggerate this concept; it became clear that it was necessary to leave her.

- How do you define yourself - as a showman or as a journalist?

I graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and I can say that our steam locomotive travels so long only because I have a journalism education. I believe that the problem with our television now is that there are few good editors. New people who come - maybe they are talented, good actors, but you need to put some thoughts, words, knowledge, some kind of journalistic reaction into them. But this is still television, you must understand. If I worked for a newspaper, I might have walked unshaven. And so I understand that everyone is looking at how I am dressed, my haircut, what I eat. Like it or not, acting appears.

- What stories are in the highest demand? Is there a model - what exactly will the audience be watching?

- (Pause.) Do we have censorship here or not?

- I don’t know, we don’t.

Then we take off the shelf a program where Mark Rudinstein tells the whole truth about the Kinotavr festival and in the same place says that he has cancer, he can die, and he needs to ask for forgiveness ... Share - 30 percent. Or if “Tea for Two” announces that they are gay, then 45 in general. Or I suggest you, for example, Tatyana Dogileva, who meets with Mikhalkov, discusses the construction of a house in the center of Moscow. One of the male politicians before the elections tells that he did plastic surgery. Such things. Another story, if wrapped correctly, is that Badri Patrakatsishvili's wife talks about what she learned after his death that he had a second family claiming an inheritance. The more millions who share, the more viewers, of course.

You recently gave an interview on the TV Center and very boldly admitted that the bosses know who should be visiting, and you, they say, are fixing the primus.

Agree, if I decided everything myself, I would already be the CEO. I am responsible for my clearing - I fertilize, plow it, plant it. Everyone should huddle their own garden - a great idea, in my opinion.

- When did you agree that the boss knows best? When did you accept the rules of the game?

On the very first day when he went to television. It seems to me that whoever does not accept the rules of the game on television does not work there anymore. Or he went to the Dozhd TV channel. I saw Tanya Arno yesterday. “Congratulate me,” he says. I answer: "With what?" I know that the President was on the Dozhd channel, but how many people have seen him? Five and a half? I'm exaggerating, of course. But when Tatiana hosted the "Raffle" program, it was an event. The question is, who are you running the program for? For myself? Like, am I so cool? "Look, people, you can't live like that"?

- You have no policy in your program. Was this your conscious decision?

There are too many politicians on television anyway. We have politics between the lines. Again, I'm looking at numbers. Here is Posner's program, please share - 10. I never even thought, honestly, which politician I would like to see on the program. Maybe Lena Skrynnik (Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. - Ed. Note) with her young husband, and even then not talking about agriculture.

- And the president?

Only at their home, with a guided tour. Here is Ilya, here is the nursery, this is what they wrote to me on Twitter, this is what is in the fridge.

- What will happen to you in 20 years?

In 20? Well ... (Long pause.) In 20 years I will comment on the end of the world live.

Interview: Natalia Rostova

On Friday, August 25, a special edition of the program “Andrey Malakhov. Live". In it, the editor-in-chief of the StarHit project will interview Boris Korchevnikov, who recently became the head of the Spas channel. The announcement of the first broadcast with a new presenter caused heated discussions on the Web, which fueled intriguing videos. Many TV viewers were eagerly awaiting the resolution of this summer's main television intrigue.

At one time, Andrei Malakhov went from a trainee who translated CNN news to the host of one of the highest-rated shows on Russian TV. "StarHit" recalled the first broadcasts of programs with the participation of a TV journalist, each of which was remembered for a long time by his fans.

"Good morning"

Andrei Malakhov's debut on television was the "Style" section of the morning broadcast of ORT. The young man, who had just graduated from Moscow State University, told the audience about the latest fashion trends. Few people know, but the appointment, which any student journalist can envy, was preceded by active work behind the scenes - the future presenter, who had a good knowledge of English, translated news from American sources. Sleepless nights were not in vain - editor-in-chief Larisa Zenina appreciated the efforts of the temporary employee, and he soon began to appear on the air.

“And when during the holidays it was necessary to put someone to replace the host of Good Morning, I was offered to sit in a studio chair. Most of my new colleagues turned out to be real professionals and taught me a lot, ”recalled Andrei Malakhov.

The presenter called Elena Mironova, the host of the morning broadcast, his godmother on TV. It was she who once discovered the talent of a novice journalist. The woman believed that there could be no trifles in working on television, so she presented her young colleague with fashionable glasses, which her sister Alla, who worked in a large specialized chain of stores, helped her to pick up. Years later, Andrei Malakhov continued to keep this thing, which became for him a reminder of the beginning of his career. To the great regret of her family and friends, Elena Mironova passed away after a long and serious illness.

“Lena was not just bright, intelligent and independent, she was stunning! She felt the breed and high class. Knowing by heart almost all of Tsvetaeva and idolizing Akhmatova, she did not miss a single significant concert, theatrical premiere or opening day. I was aware of all the news, being for the guests of the Good Morning program, where she worked for many years, the most desired interlocutor, "Andrei Malakhov wrote in his column for StarHit.

"Big washing"

The idea of the program "Big wash", which made a kind of revolution in the genre of talk shows, belonged to Andrei Malakhov and the host of the morning broadcast Larisa Krivtsova. At first, the TV journalist wanted to bring to life the idea of a conversation between two people in front of a working washing machine, and make the studio itself in the form of a laundry. However, later the authors of the show changed the concept a little.

“One hour - this is the automatic mode of the washing machine. Now, instead of the usual soap operas, housewives, having started their laundry, will watch an hour-long talk show. Each program has one central theme ", - said in the announcement of the program.

The first issue of "Big Washing" was aired on 23 July 2001. Andrei Malakhov hosted the program in a light suit, and Ilona Bronevitskaya was among the invited guests. She told viewers about her bad experience of working with make-up artists. The audience reacted to the star's words with laughter and applause.

“They took my glasses off. So, a yellow crimplen dress, they also combed this hairstyle for me. Now I know that you can't trust make-up artists, but, in general, I gave myself up then. Here's what came of it. And then everyone said: "Oh, how is Edita Stanislavovna, here she gave birth to a daughter older than herself," said the artist.

In a short time, the program, which was not afraid to touch on high-profile topics and arrange experiments, fell in love with the audience. In the studio of the TV show, liars were exposed, psychics were invited, and even hypnosis sessions were arranged. Andrei Malakhov did not stop experimenting with the manner of broadcasting and periodically tried on extravagant and fashionable costumes. At the same time, the presenter said that his style is important for attracting a young audience, and he himself would hardly have spent a thousand dollars on a torn jacket.

"Five evenings"

In September 2004, Big Washing was renamed Five Evenings, and the themes of the program became more serious. Andrey Malakhov and his guests began to discuss issues of public importance - pensions, living wages, social and political problems. At the same time, the program sometimes touched upon high-profile news, for example, another scandal at the Bolshoi Theater or the premiere of Zemfira's new album.

"Good evening! On air "Five Evenings" with Andrey Malakhov. Thank you for hosting it on Channel One. We are discussing daytime problems in the light of the evening lights, ”said the presenter before the start of the program.

The design of the studio, which was called a transformer on Channel One, also contributed to the fact that the program began to look more respectable. “Non-standard techniques of telecasting, synthesis of talk show, stage, elite circus genres,” the TV show announcement said.

"Let them talk"

Five Evenings did not go on air for long. In 2005, on Channel One, they decided to reformat the evening show with Andrei Malakhov again and focused on more scandalous and dark topics. The first edition of the program aired on 30 August. It was dedicated to the "Ural Demi Moore" - the provincial teacher Elena Krylova, who was fired because of her part-time job in a variety show.

“From now on in this studio let those who have something to say speak, and let those who cannot remain silent speak. This summer there was a lot of talk about a simple provincial teacher from the Ural town of Sukhoi Log. During the day she worked and taught Russian language and literature, and in the evening she danced striptease in a variety show. (…) The theme of the first broadcast “Let them talk” is “Striptease in Russian”, we will discuss the loudest erotic scandals of the summer, ”announced Malakhov.

The second edition of the program was devoted to how Russians apply to the European Court of Human Rights. Among the heroes of the program were Vladimir Golovlev, who dreamed of walking on the street without clothes, Natalya Znamenskaya, who could not bury the child under the name of her own father, and the scandalous writer Kirill Vorobyov.

“Let some people say that they have the right to do what they want. And what if a person wants to walk naked, well, if not naked, then half-naked. And what to do if our desires do not coincide with the principles of public morality. The topic of the issue today is “I have the right”, announced Andrei Malakhov before the start of a heated discussion in the broadcast studio.

In 2015 “Let Them Talk” celebrated its anniversary - ten years from the moment the first program aired. The program, which continues to air on Channel One with the new presenter Dmitry Borisov, is considered one of the highest-rated projects on TV.

"Tonight"

The premiere of the new entertainment show with Andrey Malakhov took place on September 1, 2012. “The program is broadcast on Saturday evening, when you don’t want to think about something serious and important, and the desire to spend the evening quietly in the company of interesting and famous people exceeds all others,” the program announcement says.

In the first issue of "Tonight" Andrey Malakhov greeted the audience and complained that the summer had passed unnoticed.

“I would like to bring back those warm days gone by. Let's try to do this. Over the past week, I have been asked, "What will be the mood in your new program?" I want to start our today's broadcast with a flash mob. (…) So, I watched the fantastic flash mob from St. Petersburg “White Nights” on the Internet. I hope he will convey the atmosphere that we want to create in our program - an atmosphere of unity, community, when complete strangers can rally, even if for a short time, ”Malakhov addressed the audience.

After the welcoming speech, the presenter offered to look at the shots from the cultural capital, taken in the summer, and start dancing right in the studio. The atmosphere on the set was fun and relaxed. Many celebrities, including Joseph Kobzon, Timur Kizyakov, graduates of the "Star Factory", Philip Kirkorov, Alla Pugacheva, Stas Mikhailov, Vera Brezhneva and Vera Glagoleva, told their stories and shared their memories in this atmosphere.

The heroine of the premiere release of the program was the star of the 90s Larisa Chernikova. The artist, who lives in the United States, has long since left the stage. She is now a successful farmer and naturopathic physician. On the air of the program, the performer first saw her father, who left the family when she was not even a year old, and also met her half-sister. In addition, Chernikova introduced the suddenly found close people to American relatives.

Thus, there was a situation where the plaintiff (NF LLC "GSK-Burenie") applied claims against a legal entity (LLC PSC "Service-Safety") by decision of the Arbitration Court and individuals (convicted Abdurakhmanov K.V. and Volkov A.O.) by the verdict of the Nefteyugansk District Court, which ultimately will lead to unjustified enrichment of the plaintiff due to the double execution of the claims of the UFSSP in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra. And also LLC PSC "Service-Security" has the right to file a civil suit against the convicted Abdurakhmanov KV for the same amount of damage, this is unacceptable and illegal. I also want to add that I am withholding money from my disability pension. and a salary in the amount of 50%, in favor of the NF LLC SGK-Burenie, if necessary, I can send all the necessary documentation, my contact phone number 89224444002 Kostantin, help me figure out the current situation, the court's appeal decision, and the cassation decision did not help me.
