A sector with such defects is not readable and can only be restored by forced writing of zeros. This is possible in Erase mode. HDDScan completely fills the Seagate disk sector by sector with zeros, reads the information and compares with the checksum. If after that there are no errors when accessing the bad sector, then WD restores its functionality and the system will be able to fully use it again if all the deleted data is then written to the drive. Deleting files and emptying the Recycle Bin does not directly delete data on the hard drive. The reason for this is a rather long process of complete removal.
