On May 9, the country will celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War Patriotic War. According to tradition, this day will end with festive fireworks. In St. Petersburg, artillery salvoes will be fired from the guns located near the walls of the Peter and Paul Fortress. Starts at 22:00. Public spaces
1. Pirogovskaya embankment.
You need a small section of this embankment, between Sampsonevsky and Liteiny bridges. It is good because the festive fireworks are clearly visible, and much fewer people gather here than on the Palace or Kronverkskaya embankments. If you are driving, focus on the St. Petersburg Hotel (Pirogovskaya embankment, 5/2).

2. Field of Mars.
The great advantage of this place is that it is just a minute’s walk from the crowded Trinity Bridge and Palace Embankment. Spectators will also gather here, but there will not be so many of them, and the fireworks will be visible as clearly as from the water.
Palace Embankment is traditionally one of the most popular areas. Always gathers here a large number of people, so it’s better to take a place in advance and immediately think about your escape routes. But the fireworks are clearly visible from here. If you want less crowded company, take a closer look at the English, University and Kronverkskaya embankments.

Exchange Square is decorated festively for the New Year, so waiting for fireworks here is a pleasure. If you don’t like watching the fireworks from the ground level, then you should climb the steps of the Exchange or, conversely, go down to the water. Just don’t go out on the ice, it’s dangerous.

Another great location with a good view is the bridges. The closest places to the event are Dvortsovy, Birzhevoy and Troitsky, and it’s also convenient to get here from the festive site near the Hermitage. Blagoveshchensky, Tuchkov and Liteiny bridges are located a little far from the Peter and Paul Fortress, but the pyrotechnic show from them can be seen in all details.

Anyone who is unlucky enough to live in one of the high-rise buildings is probably familiar with the annual fireworks story - only reflections are visible from the balcony, and there are crowds of people on the bridges and embankments. Chamber platform at the foot of the Academy of Sciences building on Leninsky Prospekt. Few people know about her - usually here, while admiring the sunset, they hug local residents. From here you cannot see the whole of Moscow, in this sense the site is inferior to the Sparrow Hills, but here a completely unfamiliar view of the city opens up. If this is not enough for you, go up to the top floors of the Russian Academy of Sciences, there is a SkyLounge with a panoramic view of the city, but also with exorbitant prices.

An important place for the history of Moscow, one of the seven city hills, located on the right bank of the river. We advise you to plan your day in such a way as to arrive at Sparrow Hills three hours before the fireworks, walk along the ecological trails of the park and study all the birds and mice.
