How to make a dandelion from foamiran. DIY paper dandelion: a master class with photo and video material. Photo of finished dandelions from foamiarn and flower arrangement

The choice of material suitable for making a variety of fakes is very large. But one of the most popular is foamiran.

Foamiran (fom) is a thin sheet of foamed rubber. It has a delicate, silky texture that is pleasant to the touch. It is easy to create any shape from it using a simple step-by-step algorithm.

Foamiran flowers

Everyone loves fresh flowers, but not everyone can afford them because of the difficulties with their maintenance. Living flowering plants require constant care, without which they will simply die. In addition, pollen and fragrance are often the cause of an allergic reaction.

Artificial flowers can be a good alternative to live compositions. But not all artificially created flowers are capable of delighting as well as natural ones, but only made of high-quality, hypoallergenic materials, exactly repeating all the elements of real flowers.

Carefully made foamiran flowers look very similar to natural ones. They are a popular element of flower arrangements, wreaths, or children's decorations for girls.

Foamiran flowers have some advantages:

  • do not require daily watering, like natural ones, they can be left for a long time;
  • do not crumble;
  • they can be washed or wiped with a damp cloth;
  • do not fade from exposure to sunlight;
  • absolutely harmless to children and animals;
  • constantly delight with bright colors, and not only during the flowering period.

Foamiran dandelions practically do not differ from natural flowers. Making them yourself is pretty simple. You can decorate anything with such flowers:

  • walls, for example, in a nursery, kitchen or living room;
  • small sofa cushions;
  • clips for curtains;
  • baskets and vases;
  • tablecloth, napkins;
  • summer shoes;
  • clothes;
  • Kids toys;
  • boutonnieres;
  • wreaths, headbands, elastic bands and other hair ornaments.

A panel made of foamiran dandelions looks very realistic and natural. In addition, they will not fade and will delight the eye for a long time.

When creating flowers from foamiran, it is important to choose the right material and follow the instructions for making a flower. Special skills and abilities are not needed for this, even a child can make a flower with his own hands.

Foamiran advantages

Foamiran is quite often found in stores specializing in the sale of materials for needlework, it is mentioned in master classes on creating artificial flowers. Recently, the material has begun to gain popularity. This is due to its advantages:

  • 1. Safety, hypoallergenic, no specific odor.
  • 2. Does not require special training for work.
  • 3. Ease of use, flexibility and elasticity, does not cause difficulties when cutting elements according to templates.
  • 4. Able to stretch up to 15%.
  • 5. Easy to tint due to its porous structure.
  • 6. Not afraid of moisture, can be washed.
  • 7. Does not respond to sudden changes in temperature.
  • 8. Non-flammable.
  • 9. Does not wrinkle.
  • 10. Does not fade even after prolonged exposure to the sun.
  • 11. Suitable for creativity of children and adults.
  • 12. Long service life, the product retains its original appearance even after a long service life.

Recently, it is foamiran that has been used to make toys, flowers, hair accessories, decorative items of clothing, shoes and other fakes.

Dandelion making

In this master class, we will make one of the very first summer flowers - dandelion. Foamiran is a very pliable and pleasant to the touch material, therefore it is comfortable and easy to work with it.

Foamiran flowers are quite fun to create. To make a dandelion you need:

  • green and yellow foamiran;
  • green tape tape;
  • hot glue;
  • stem wire;
  • scissors;
  • iron.

Use a wire as long as it is suitable for the dandelion stem. The thicker the wire, the more realistic the stem will be. We wrap the wire with green tape. It is best if the color of the ribbon and the color of the foamiran for the leaves match. Instead of such a tape, you can cut a strip about 0.5 cm wide from green foamiran, fix one end and wrap the wire. Then the stem is immediately thick and almost realistic. In addition, there will be no need to match the color of the tape and foamiran.

Next, let's prepare the base for the yellow foamiran petals. The size of the dandelion depends on the width and length of the stripes that you cut from the foma. Therefore, if you are making a whole bouquet, then cut out blanks of different sizes.

Having cut the yellow foamiran into strips, we make a fringe with the ends of the scissors. At the same time, we do not reach the opposite by a few millimeters.

Heat the entire fringed ribbon on an iron. You only need to apply for a few seconds so that the strips curl to one side.

Glue the tape to the end of the wire and wrap it in such a way that the fringe twists into the flower. We fix each new layer with glue.

Cut off the tape and glue the end so that the fringe folds outward. Then we adjust the width of the flower ourselves. The more tape you stick, the larger the flower diameter will be.

Prepare a dandelion sepal from the green Thomas. We arbitrarily cut it out with scissors. It can contain both 4 and 5 leaves with sharp ends. We apply the workpiece to the heated iron for a few seconds. We also cut out ordinary leaves and shape them with an iron.

We pass the stem through the center of the sepal and glue the leaves to the bud so that the ends peep out and protrude a little. We attach each leaf separately so that the glue does not dry out while you are working with one of them.

The long-awaited spring has come, and the soul wanted something juicy, light, warm, sunny. This is how these flowers were born - bright yellow and airy white dandelions.

Artificial flowers are a good option for apartment decor: beautiful, durable and aesthetically pleasing. In addition, a flower arrangement is a great craft option for a kindergarten or school. Children will surely enjoy working with foamiran, and adults will have the opportunity to share the joy of creativity with their families!

Master class "Yellow and white dandelions from foamiran and plastic"

Materials and tools:

  • foamiran (aka fom, aka EVA, aka foamed rubber, aka plastic suede);
  • two colors: green and yellow. Approximate consumption: A4 sheet of each color;
  • ordinary and manicure scissors;
  • wire for floristry;
  • iron;
  • glue gel super MOMENT;
  • pastel;
  • ear sticks white
  • beads (preferably transparent or white);
  • cocktail tubes (green or yellow or transparent);
  • desire to create and good mood 🙂

Difficulty level: for newbies

Stages of work:

White dandelions

1. We take ear sticks, clean them of cotton wool, cut them in half. We take nail scissors and make cuts at one end.

2. We put the bead on the wire, dropping a little glue into the middle to fix it.

3. Using glue, we create a dandelion inflorescence from prepared umbrellas (halves of ear sticks). We glue the entire bead sequentially.

4. Now take the cocktail tube. I didn't find the perfect color, so I got it out like this: I inserted a green one into a yellow tube. It turned out super!

Cut out a piece of green foamiran 2.5 cm × 3 cm. We do not make cuts to the end.

We glue the tube on the edge.

We connect a tube-stem and a flower. Drop the glue into the middle of the tube, insert the wire into the tube and secure the stem to the white fluff.

Yellow dandelions. Fully opened flowers

5. Cut off strips of yellow color 3 cm × 30 cm. Make cuts.

Cut the wire to the desired length, bend the edge and fix it on the edge of the yellow fringe strip. We wind the strip onto the wire, fixing it with glue.

Cut off the green strips 6 cm × 6 cm and 2 cm × 2 cm. Make cuts.

We fix it with glue, fix the stem - a cocktail tube.

To give the dandelion a lively appearance, you need to hold it over the candle, while quickly rotating the stem and spreading it with your hand.

Yellow dandelions. Half-open flowers

6. Take a yellow strip 3 cm × 20 cm, green stripes 2 cm × 2 cm and 5 cm × 5 cm.

I tried the 4 cm × 5 cm option (green stripe) - it seemed a little to me, so in the process I increased the size to 5 × 5 cm.

7. Draw dandelion leaves on a regular sheet of paper. It is better to make several options that are somewhat different from each other. Cut out.

Cut out the leaves from Thomas, circling the patterns. You can immediately shade with pastels, but this time I tried to shade after ironing - it also turned out fine.

I do not have molds of leaves, but I found a way out. I use the embossed pattern on the vase.

We apply the cut out leaf from the Thomas to the iron and quickly press it onto the vase.

We tint with pastels.

8. We fix the wire on the leaf with glue.

9. And finally, we come to the most interesting part: we create a composition. We form a bouquet in a vase and admire the beauty!

I hope you enjoyed my MK. I'm still a beginner in this yet, but I tried to show everything in an accessible and understandable way.

From this master class, you will learn how to make a dandelion from foamiran with your own hands with step-by-step instructions and photographs. You can create a whole composition or even weave a wreath on your head that will bloom forever.

For this we need:

Foamiran yellow and green;
floristic wire;
scissors;
green teip tape;
glue gun.

First, let's prepare the stem for the dandelion. We take a floristic wire about 10-12 cm long, fix a green tape at one end and wind it on the wire to the end from the back side. It is better to fix the end of the tape with hot melt glue.

Next, you need to cut off the strip of yellow foamiran. This will be the main blank for the flower. Its width and length depend on the desired dandelion size. If, for example, you are going to make a whole bouquet, then you can cut strips of different widths and lengths. In this case, the length of the stem of each flower will be different.
For example, we cut a strip of 30x3 cm in size and very carefully cut one edge with scissors, turning it into a fringe. We do not reach with scissors to the opposite edge about 0.7 cm.

Now, on the edge of the still solid side, we attach one end of the stem so that it does not fall on the fringe.

We begin to twist this end of the stick inward, constantly gluing a new layer. Having twisted several layers, we already begin to gradually lower the next ones down by 1-2 mm. As a result, you will get such a deepening. The main thing is that each layer slides down a very short distance and, as a result, the transition is very smooth, as this will affect the shape of the flower.

In this groove, we apply glue so that it covers the entire surface and squeeze all the walls inward to the stick. We fix it until it cools completely.

The flower will open immediately. We only need to straighten out his fringe to make it look more realistic.

Cut out a green sepal with a diameter approximately equal to that of the dandelion. We make a hole in the middle.

We pass the stem through the sepal hole and glue each leaf to the flower.

The dandelion can be planted on a thinner wire that bends well. Then you can safely make wreaths on your head from a variety of foamiran dandelions, or make a bouquet that will give a sunny mood to your home.

Foamiran's art is tender and very believable. Flowers from this material are not inferior in the liveliness of the species to their real relatives. Ease of work allows you to create any flower, conveying its natural and aesthetic value. Even a foamiran dandelion no longer looks too simple a wildflower, but inspires with its similarity to the little sun.

Making a yellow flower

A seemingly simple living flower is quite simple in its artificial creation. For a yellow dandelion you will need:

  • yellow foamiran;
  • green foamiran;
  • brown oil pastels;
  • green oil pastels;
  • lighter;
  • iron;
  • glue "Moment";
  • light green tape;
  • scissors;
  • napkins;
  • wire;
  • Styrofoam;
  • flower pot, mug or glass.

The first step in a dandelion master class is to create a bud. To do this, cut out strips from yellow foamiran: two of 2 × 30 cm, one - 1 × 8 cm.A fringe should be made along the edge of the strips.

At the end of the wire, you need to make a hook on which a short piece with petals is put on and twisted. As it twists, the bud is glued.

Such a workpiece should be processed with a lighter. Long strips must be ironed before gluing to the main bud. The iron is set to the temperature for silk or wool. Processing is necessary for easy bending of the petals.

After processing, the strips are glued to the bud.

The second step involves cutting and attaching two pieces of a green foamiran flower basket. You can use the following basket template:

To glue the basket to the flower, you need to warm it up a little with an iron, knead it with your hands, thread first one part onto the wire, and then the second. Having smeared the inside of each part with glue, you should attach them to the base of the bud.

The third stage consists in the design of the stem, which is wrapped with a napkin and processed with tape.

The fourth step is to cut out dandelion leaves from foamiran. To do this, you can use patterns according to one of these patterns:

Light streaks are applied to the leaves treated with an iron and fingers with paint, after which the leaves are glued along the entire length with the wrong side to the wire.

The fifth step is cutting out the foam to the size of the pot and connecting the two elements.

The final step will be to collect all the details of the composition by attaching them to the foam in a pot.

Another way

The variety of techniques for working with foamiran gives rise to a variety of results of this creative work. For the next step-by-step creation of a dandelion you need:

  • yellow foamiran;
  • green foamiran;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • glue.

First, you need to cut a strip with dimensions of 8 × 40 cm from the yellow shape. Having folded the strip along the length, we proceed to cutting the fringe, while making cuts from the side of the fold of the strip.

The whole edges of the strip are glued along the length.

The strip needs to be twisted into a bud.

Once rolled, the dandelion should look like this:

From the green Thomas, you need to cut out five or six leaves of the basket under the bud. Glue the leaves to the base of the bud.

To cover the base and the place of attachment of the leaves, you need to cut out a small circle, make cloves along its edges in the form of an asterisk, stick baskets on the base of the bud with leaves. After that, the dandelion is ready.

From several patterns

Another type of artificial flower involves the use of a carved shape instead of a fringe. This is a more alternative type of flower, since it does not look like a real dandelion and is really the subject of abstract creativity.

Patterned dandelion petals are made from patterned parts for artificial flowers such as chamomile, aster or chrysanthemum.

Note! Since a dandelion needs a lot of volume, it should consist of at least five layers.

The pattern for patterning the details of the bud is shown below:

Each part of the star must be warmed up with an iron, wrinkled with your fingers to give smooth bends to the petals. The parts are joined together with glue. The middle must be rolled up almost to an unopened appearance, the next layers from the middle of the bud are crumpled as it unfolds, giving the flower the required volume. It is advisable to bend the petals inward so that they are convex towards the sepal basket.

The fixation of such a flower on the stem is due to the double basket. We glue one large toothed part to the base of the bud, the second, smaller one, we glue to the previous part and wrap it around the stem, seating it with glue. More details about creating such a dandelion can be found in one of the videos presented.

Greetings, friends! Outside the window, summer is the most favorite time of the year. A time when there are so many different colors around. Do you like to decorate yourself or your daughter with fresh flowers? Nice, isn't it?

Only such decorations fade very quickly, but there is an excellent way out - flowers from foamiran. Are you familiar with this amazing stuff? Here are some examples of works from it. They cannot be distinguished from the living, but at the same time they do not wither and are not afraid of rain.

Today I want to show how to make a dandelion from foamiran, a master class for beginners.

To make hairpins you will need:

  1. yellow and green foamiran;
  2. scrunchy;
  3. non-writing pen and ruler;
  4. scissors;
  5. glue gun or superglue;
  6. toothpick or skewer;
  7. candle or iron.

Along the width of the yellow foam leaf, we mark three stripes: two 2 centimeters wide and one 1 centimeter wide strip.

Cut out the stripes.

On all strips, it is necessary to cut in the form of a fringe, the thinner the cutting, the more natural the flower will subsequently look. The incision should be made shallow, leaving a strip of about 0.3 centimeters intact.

Let's start making the middle of the flower. To do this, take a skewer or toothpick. While applying glue to the bottom of the narrow strip, gradually wind it around the toothpick. After you have made the core, take the remaining strips and continue to glue.

In order for the fringe to fluff up and the flower takes on a natural look, light a candle. Hold the flower over the fire, vertically centered. The inner petals will swirl inward from the heat. In order for the outermost petals to look outward, turn the flower already horizontally towards the fire. You will see them unfold naturally.

Work with fire should be very careful (in no case bring it very close to the flame). Fire can burn the foamir. In this case, the work will be ruined.

A safer way is to reheat with an iron. The strips should be applied in parts for a couple of seconds. For convenience, hold the strip with a skewer. Correct the swirling petals with your hands. At the end of the "fluffing" cut off the toothpick.

The central part of the flower is ready. Let's start making sepals. For this we need a green foamir. Cut out a circle, the diameter of which should be at least 5 cm. If you want the sepal to protrude above the yellow petals, the diameter increases in proportion to your vision of the flower.

Mark the center of the circle and make cuts on four sides by 1.5 cm, then cut the fringe in a circle. Alternatively, you can not make a fringe, but cut curly leaves in a circle. There are no restrictions or any rules. Choose what type of sepal you like.

To fluff the bottom leaf of a flower, you have a choice - either on the fire of a candle or using an iron. The principle of operation is described above.

We glue the resulting sepal on the back of the flower.

Cut out a small strip of green foamir up to 1 cm wide and no more than 4 cm long.
