Physics is a field of natural science. This is the science of the simplest and at the same time the most general laws of nature, of matter, its structure and movement. The laws of physics underlie all natural science.
The term "physics" first appeared in the writings of one of the greatest thinkers of antiquity - Aristotle, who lived in the 4th century BC. Initially, the terms "physics" and "philosophy" were synonymous, since both disciplines were based on the desire to explain the laws of the functioning of the Universe. However, as a result of the scientific revolution of the 16th century, physics emerged as a separate scientific direction.
Physics includes the following sections:
Mechanics (kinematics, dynamics, hydrodynamics, acoustics) is a branch of physics that studies the motion of bodies and the interaction between them.
The main sections of mechanics:
Classical mechanics studies the motion of bodies in time and space, the causes and laws of motion; It is subdivided into statics (balance of bodies), kinematics (the movement of bodies without considering its causes, without taking into account the forces acting on the bodies) and dynamics (the movement of bodies and its causes).
Relativistic mechanics is a branch of physics that considers the motion of bodies and particles at speeds comparable to the speed of light.
Quantum mechanics is a theoretical branch of physics that studies quantum systems and the laws of their motion.
Thermodynamics is a branch of physics that studies the transformation of heat into motion and motion into heat. Thermodynamics considers the distribution of heat in different media, physical and chemical changes with the absorption or release of heat.
Optics is a branch of physics that deals with light and all phenomena associated with it, including infrared and ultraviolet radiation.
Electrodynamics is a branch of physics that studies the electromagnetic field and the interaction of bodies with an electric charge with it, as well as the relationship between electrical and magnetic phenomena.
