Vnukovo Airport is the oldest in Moscow. It consists of three main terminals, which are designated by the letters A, B, D. Answering the question, how many terminals in Vnukovo, in addition to these three, it is also necessary to mention the government terminal (Vnukovo-2) and the complex for VIP-clients (Vnukovo-3) ... These buildings are located separately from the three main ones. But they are not far away. In addition, it is quite easy to find these complexes, since there are special signs along the road from the terminals.
Terminal A is the largest. It serves about 80% of the entire flow. Previously, only domestic flights within the country were carried out here, but over the past 3 years, passengers of international flights are also served here. Terminal B handles approximately 18% of the passenger flow. Mainly, charter flights to various international destinations are served here, as well as flights to Asia and low-cost flights. Terminal D was built in the 80s. However, despite the fact that not so long ago it was reconstructed, now it practically does not serve passengers. It is used today exclusively for the arrival of domestic flights. It should be noted that the plan of Vnukovo airport is designed in such a way that you can leave Terminal D only through building B. All these buildings are located in one line.
The so-called special terminal, a free-standing complex Vnukovo-2, is designed to serve government officials. It is located near the main three terminals, to the south. There is another complex in the western part. This is the VIP lounge of Vnukovo-3 airport. This building is dedicated to business flights.
Terminal A
This complex consists of three floors, thanks to which it is possible to separate several flows of passengers who arrive or depart at once. On the -1 level there is a transition to the Aeroexpress station. There are also lockers and numerous UTair self check-in counters.
Below is the arrival area, where customs control is carried out and baggage is issued. There is a waiting room for those who meet passengers. You can buy souvenirs on this floor. There are cafes, check-in counters, ATMs and ticket offices of various airlines.
From the overpass, one can get directly to the second floor of this terminal. You do not need to pay to enter the overpass. On the second floor, security control is carried out, oversized baggage is checked out. There is an information desk and airline ticket offices. On the second floor there is a specially designated sterile area from which you can board. Also on this level there are cafes, shops with souvenirs and other goods, ATMs. There is a DVD cinema on the second floor.
To make it easier for passengers to navigate at this level of the terminal, the Vnukovo airport map will be very useful in this case. Briefly for better orientation:
- In the departure area in the left corner there is a disabled service counter and a children's room.
- Public toilets are located on the right side of the departure area.
- There is a cafe in the right corner.
- Boarding for "home" flights is on the left side of the building.
- Boarding for international flights takes place on the right side of the terminal.
The third floor is for waiting flights. There is a cafe here. There is also a business lounge on the third level. To get here, you need to go up to the upper, that is, the 3rd floor, you do not need to go through passport and customs control.
For the convenience of moving around the terminal, there are elevators, escalators, travelators. There are special lifts for the disabled and ramps. Wi-Fi is available on all floors.
Terminal B
This terminal serves most international charter flights as well as scheduled flights. In the future, it is planned to transfer all regular flights to the first terminal (A). Therefore, it is likely that soon Terminal B will serve only charter flights. This building has two floors.
On the ground floor, you need to check in, check in your luggage. There is an arrivals hall, cafes, ticket offices, which sell not only air, but also railway tickets. Also on the ground floor there are special counters with which to book rooms in hotels and order a taxi. There is also Wi-Fi here.
The second floor is used to carry out the procedure for checking passengers and checking their hand luggage. Here are the boarding gates. On the floor above, there is a lounge for passengers from whom business class tickets have been purchased. In addition, there are special check-in counters for passengers who fly without luggage.
Terminal D
This terminal is practically not used anymore. Departures from here are not carried out. The terminal does not have its own exit. The only thing it is still used for is arriving from the North Caucasus. This is due to the increased requirements of the special services. It is expected that this terminal will soon be completely closed. The building itself is planned to be demolished.
Passenger check-in at this terminal ends 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. And registration begins at least 2 hours before departure. This time is set individually for each airline. In order to save time, passengers are advised to check in online, because when only 40 minutes are left before departure, the staff who work at the counters will no longer be able to check in passengers. After registration, you need to go to the second floor to go through all the necessary clearance procedures (including customs control). Boarding ends twenty minutes before departure.
VIP room
This is a lounge that is located separately from other terminals and serves passengers regardless of which terminal they are departing from. In this complex, passengers are given the opportunity to check-in for flights within the country and to other countries. Also, customs and passport control is carried out here. But all this is available only for VIP passengers. There is a separate car park for passengers. Clients are given the opportunity to order a meeting room.
Services provided in the lounge are available only for those VIP-passengers who have purchased a voucher at the box office (any terminal) or entered into a cooperation agreement (if the client is a legal entity). Services must be ordered no later than one day before departure. Free of charge in this room serve the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Russian Federation and participants of the Great Patriotic War.
Vnukovo-2
This is a terminal serving the government. Only government officials are served here. Moreover, we are talking about the leaders and other representatives of the government of any state who arrive in the Russian Federation on working official visits at the invitation of the President or other representatives of the Russian government.

Moscow Vnukovo Airport consists of three terminals. How the airport works
Terminal A Vnukovo has three floors and a ground level - the underground Aeroexpress station. From the zero level from the glass doors of the station, turn right and go up to the terminal itself by elevator. If you turn left and left again, you will find yourself on the street to the main entrance to the terminal. At the -1 level of Vnukovo airport, there are left-luggage offices and self-check-in counters.
From the parking lot or public transport, enter the first floor, getting out of the car on the overpass (entry to it is free), you will immediately go to the departure area of the second floor, but parking there is prohibited and you will not be able to go out through the same door from the terminal to the street.
On the ground floor of the Vnukovo terminal, in addition to the entrance and exit, there are baggage claim areas with 10 transport belts. There is also a Lost & Found service, a 24-hour bank branch and ATMs, trans-agency counters, taxis and car rental services. There is a cafe and a communication salon in the waiting room for those who meet passengers.
We take off from the second floor, there are check-in counters, customs control and boarding gate. Conveniently, check-in desks are assigned to specific airlines. It doesn't matter whether it's a domestic flight or an international flight, search by airline name. In the same place you can pack your luggage and pay for overload. For passengers on the 2nd floor there are food outlets and shops, a first-aid post, bank branches and ATMs, and a police station. 
The boarding gates are located immediately behind the check-in counters, go through the pre-flight security zone and enter the sterile zone. Getting to Vnukovo by Aeroexpress: comfortable and fast
Aeroexpress trains run from Kievsky railway station to Vnukovo without stops. To get to the station at the airport, go down to the ground floor in Terminal A, the ground entrance to the station is opposite the entrance to Terminal A.
A family ticket will cost 950 rubles, children from 5-7 years old - 130 rubles, children under 5 years old travel for free without a separate seat.

Kievsky railway station - Vnukovo, how to get there by aeroexpress
The express train departs from the Kievsky railway station. To get to the metro, take the Koltsevaya (brown) metro line, reaching the Kievskaya station, look for the blue pointer Go to the Filevskaya line in the main hall. Go up the escalator and keep to the left, passing the turnstile, you will find yourself in a long underground passage, at the end of it turn right and go out into the street.

Regular bus route 611.
Number 611 travels with stops, and number 611c stops only when passengers call. The bus moves along a dedicated lane, so the traffic jam passes quickly enough.
From Rumyantsevo to Vnukovo: Rumyantsevo - the nearest metro station to the airport, after driving to the final one, look for a bus stop 16 meters from the exit.
From Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station to Vnukovo: leaving the metro, follow the passage to the right, then the stairs on the left, there are signs to Vnukovo. After walking a little along the street you will find a parking lot for minibuses and buses. Find the right stop using the number plates.
From metro Troparevo to Vnukovo: after exiting the train, keep to the right, after passing the crossing, turn right and follow up the stairs. Passing along the roadway you will see a stop.

Regular bus route 272 and 272K.
This bus route goes around the village of Vnukovo, so it takes longer to take it. Get off at the Hotel stop, from it walk 450 m along the 1st voyage street to the terminal and enter the building through the passage. It remains to go up to the terminal on the 2nd floor in the registration area.

Minibus to Vnukovo from Yugo-zapadnaya metro station
Minibuses 45 leave for the airport from the same stops as the buses, parking a little to the side, but they are hard to miss. Look for signs to Vnukovo with number 45 or listen, they are actively calling passengers. They leave often, about once every 10-15 minutes as they fill up. There is no schedule as such, but you won't have to wait long. They maneuver quickly and even at rush hour make their way to the airport in 20 minutes, in addition, they bring them directly to the terminal, which is very convenient. For bulky bags you will be asked to pay an additional 10 rubles.

How to quickly leave Vnukovo towards Moscow
If you walk 450 m from the terminal along the 1st Reisovaya to Centralnaya, you will get to the Hotel stop of three routes 611/911/272 at once. Buses 911 and 272 will take you to the Salaryevo metro station, and 611 to Troparevo or Yugo-Zapadnaya. You can also go to Rumyantsevo, but the path is not close to the metro and along the highway, with bulky luggage, we do not recommend this option: go along the overpass, walk a little forward along the road and to the left towards the office buildings, there will be a station on the right hand side.
Bus stop The airport is located to the side behind the multi-storey car parks. Leaving the building, go forward, bypassing the parking lot, to the overpass. After passing under it, cross 2 roads and you will get straight to two stops. The desired stop in the direction of Moscow is located farther from the intersection, be guided by the route indicated on the bus, you need an inscription to the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station. Use this stop to board an empty bus at the terminus. 
Near terminal A of the airport there are only minibuses, which leave as they fill up with passengers, about once every half an hour. Following from Vnukovo to Moscow, stay away from route 526 to the Teply Stan metro station, it goes to the metro for 1 hour 44 minutes, making 49 stops.
Opposite Terminal A, you will find a parking lot for 45 minibuses, which for 150 rubles will take you to the Yugo-Zapadnoye metro station in 20 minutes: a quick, but not the most economical option.

Where to eat in Vnukovo
Vnukovo is actually located in the city, so it is easy to find shops and inexpensive cafes near the airport. There are enough toilets at the airport, they are in the common part of Terminal A and are equipped with signs: on the zero level on the left, on the second level there is a small toilet on the left and the main toilets on the right side of the second floor of the terminal. On the 3rd floor, you will find toilets on the right side at the end.
In the departure area of international airlines, there are toilets opposite gates 2121A, 2323A and 2525A (there is also a changing room). In the sterile area of domestic airlines, toilets are located opposite gates 1111A, 1212A and 1414A.
What to do with a child in Vnukovo
There are changing rooms near the toilets in the common and free zones, where you can change your baby's clothes. They are marked with signs and are easy to find. At the airport, on the 2nd floor of Terminal A, there is a children's room on the left. For those departing, her services are free, a child under 7 years old with an accompanying adult will be allowed in for a maximum of 6 hours. The room is filled with toys, there are playgrounds and a slide, you can read, draw, watch cartoons. For very young passengers, there is an area with a cot, changing table and high chair. 
In the waiting room of domestic airlines, after the shops, there is a paid children's area with toys and cartoons, prices from 300 rubles, but here you can leave the child under supervision or watch him sitting in a waiting chair.
Going up to level 2 of Terminal D, you will find the mother and child's room. It works around the clock and free of charge. Pregnant women also use its services. Where is Vnukovo airport located
Vnukovo Airport is located in the Moscow Region in the South-West direction from Moscow, 10 km from the Moscow Ring Road. From the center of Moscow to Vnukovo airport, 46 km, from the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station, the distance will be only 17 km.
The airport is divided into three parts:
- Vnukovo-1.
- Vnukovo-2.
- Vnukovo-3.

By train
A cheaper option for travel is by train, but here you have to go with a change... You will need get off at the Tolstopaltsevo stop, and then already get to the airport by bus number 32(this flight passes Vostryakovo station, you can take a bus there) or №753 that depart every 15-20 minutes, drive to the airport for about 15 minutes... May go out at Vnukovo station, from there it is closer to the airport, but transport runs worse, most likely you will have to take a taxi.
By minibus or bus
Minibuses and buses run regularly from the Yugo-Zapadnaya, Troparevo, Salaryevo and Rumyantsevo metro stations towards Vnukovo airport, ticket price starts from 50 rubles... Bus stops are located near the metro exit, flight numbers 611 and 911.

The most favorable price for an Aeroexpress ticket when purchased through electronic sales channels (website, mobile application). You do not need to print an electronic ticket received on your phone; to pass through the turnstile, attach the ticket with a QR code to the reader. There are 3 terminals in Vnukovo: A, B and D. All flights depart from Terminal A. Terminal B is currently not in use. Terminal D carries out post-flight screening of passengers and baggage on select domestic flights.
