Based on the Regulations on military training centers at federal state educational institutions of higher professional education, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation dated 06.03.2008 No. 152 and the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated 10.07.2009 No. 666/249: “Military training is targeted training of citizens from among students studying at the expense of the federal budget, within the limits of state assignments (target figures) for the admission of students in basic educational programs. "
The number of citizens undergoing military training is established by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the federal executive body exercising the powers of the founder of the corresponding higher educational institution, on the basis of an order from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. - Citizens under the age of 24 who have a document state standard on secondary (complete) general, secondary vocational education, who have passed the preliminary selection at the military commissariat at the place of residence.
- Citizens can not be considered as candidates for admission to BSTU for training in the main educational program of higher professional education and at the same time for training in a military training program in military training centers:
- not meeting the requirements for citizens entering military service under a contract; o who have been convicted and sentenced;
- in respect of whom an inquiry or preliminary investigation or a criminal case has been submitted to the court;
- having an unexpunged or outstanding conviction for committing a crime;
- serving a sentence of imprisonment.
- Citizens who have expressed a desire to undergo military training at the military training center at BSTU submit applications to the military commissariat at their place of residence before May 1 of the year of admission to the university. As an exception, at the request of the rector of the university, a citizen (from among the applicants) can submit an application later than the specified time to the military commissariat at the location of the university (the military commissariat of the Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg).
- The application indicates: surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, address of residence, name of the educational institution, specialty in which the citizen wishes to study (Appendix No. 1, Appendix No. 2).
- Attached to the application are: a copy of a birth certificate, a copy of a document proving identity and citizenship, an autobiography, a characteristic from the place of study or work (Appendix No. 3) a copy of a document on secondary education (students submit a certificate of current progress), three photographs without a headdress in size 4.5x6 cm.
- Citizens who have expressed a desire to undergo military training submit to the military commissariat documents from medical organizations confirming the fact that they are not registered (monitored) for mental disorders, drug addiction, alcoholism, substance abuse, drug abuse, infection with the human immunodeficiency virus, at dispensary observation for other diseases.
- Citizens who have expressed a desire to undergo military training in the military training center at the BSTU in the course of training in the main educational program of higher professional education are pre-selected at the military commissariat at their place of residence (at the place of stay).
- The preliminary selection of citizens includes the determination of their compliance with the requirements established in paragraphs 1, 2 of these Instructions, and their suitability for military training in a military training center (at a military department) based on the results of a medical examination and professional psychological selection. The preliminary selection is carried out in advance. For citizens who have expressed a desire to undergo military training at a military training center, in April-June, admission to an educational institution.
- For citizens who have expressed a desire to undergo military training at a military training center and have passed the preliminary selection, military commissariats form personal files, including the documents listed in paragraph 5 of this Instruction, as well as a medical examination card and a professional psychological selection card. Directions for admission to the selected educational institution (Appendix No. 4) and personal files in a flattened form are handed over to candidates for submission to the admissions committee (subcommittee on admission to the military training center) of the educational institution. Citizens who have not passed the preliminary selection or, according to the results of the preliminary selection, recognized as not meeting the requirements for citizens entering military service under a contract, are not given a referral to an educational institution to participate in entrance tests for targeted admission in the interests of the Ministry of Defense.
- The selection of candidates for enrollment in military training is carried out by the selection committee of BSTU according to the results of preliminary selection and entrance examinations. During the selection process, additional measures may be taken with these candidates, including those aimed at determining the level of physical fitness (requirements for the physical fitness of citizens).
- Candidates for admission to the military training center upon arrival at the university for passing the entrance tests submit a personal file to the admissions office. Together with the personal file, these candidates are presented to the admissions committee: a passport, a military ID or a certificate of a citizen subject to conscription, an original document of secondary education and a document with the results of the unified state exam (admission to the UCC is carried out based on the results of the Unified State Exam: Russian language, mathematics , physics), as well as documents stipulated by the rules of admission, including documents that provide benefits and advantages when entering an educational institution in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the rules of admission to BSTU. The personal files of candidates, after entering the necessary information into the competition list, are transferred from the selection committee to the training unit of the military training center. The personal files of candidates who are subsequently enrolled in the military training center are used for in-depth study of students, the rest are destroyed in the prescribed manner.
- Competitive lists are formed based on the results of entrance examinations. A competitive list of candidates for enrollment in a military training center is drawn up in accordance with the rules for admission to BSTU. To the sum of points obtained as a result of testing or taking into account the results of the unified state exam (calculated in accordance with the admission rules at BSTU) and determining the level of general education, an assessment of the candidate's physical fitness is added and his category of professional suitability is taken into account without fail. At the same time, candidates classified according to the results of professional psychological selection to the third category of professional suitability are considered for admission to a military training center after candidates referred to the first and second categories of professional suitability. Candidates with the fourth category of professional suitability are not considered for admission to the military training center.
- The decision of the admissions committee can be appealed by a citizen in the manner prescribed by the rules for admission to BSTU.
- Candidates who have passed the competitive selection, on the basis of the decision of the selection committee, conclude an appropriate agreement in the form established by the Regulations on military training centers at federal state educational institutions of higher professional education (Appendix No. 5).
- The enrollment of a citizen for a targeted recruitment in the interests of the Ministry of Defense to the university and to study at the military training center is announced by the order of the rector, after the citizen has concluded an appropriate agreement with the Ministry of Defense.
Taking the Unified State Exam has now become a mandatory procedure for all schoolchildren, and the procedure for admitting applicants to universities has changed every year since then. This year is no exception. So that there are no unpleasant surprises when entering Voenmech, we have prepared answers to the most frequently asked questions for applicants.
What do you need for admission?
- submit documents (copies or originals) within the specified time frame;
- pass the competition,
- submit originals of documents (if not submitted earlier),
- write an enrollment consent, which indicates one priority area of specialization.
What does “one priority area” mean?
The applicant still has the right to apply to five universities, and in each of them - for three specialties. However, when submitting originals, the applicant chooses not only one university, but also one specialty. This means that if in the competition for the chosen specialty you do not pass according to points, you can try to enter another one only in the next wave, and without your knowledge the members of the selection committee will not be able to “shift” the original.
How are USE scores taken into account?
- BSTU "Voenmech" does not establish additional restrictive levels: you can submit documents to us with scores equal to the minimum threshold set by the Ministry of Education for admission to a university, or exceeding this threshold.
- To enter a university, you must pass the profile exam in mathematics and have at least three exams passed. Thus, if an applicant has passed three exams, and one of them is basic mathematics, then he will not be able to enter any university in the country. If an applicant has passed four exams or more, but at the same time passed only basic mathematics, then he can enter those specialties or areas where mathematics is not required for admission. In BSTU "Voenmekh" there is only one such specialty - "Translation and Translation Studies", for admission to it you need to pass Russian and foreign languages, as well as social studies. There are no budget places in this specialty.
What can you earn extra points for?
Additional points can be obtained:
- for sports achievements (1 point);
- for a certificate with honors (9 points);
School essay for admission to BSTU "Voenmekh" is not taken into account.
What does the victory at the Olympiad give upon admission?
A victory or a prize-winning place in the Olympiad for schoolchildren in a specialized subject is equated to 100 points, if the applicant scored at least 75 points for the exam in it. The Olympiad diploma can be taken into account only in one university.
What are the privileged categories of citizens?
