Blade protection

Predatory Spirit III

Allows you to restore EP and HP, absorbing the power of nature around. Hold Shift + Space to activate.

As you can see, the perk has three levels. The latter requires 39 lvl characters and 24 skill points. Recovers 30 HP and 90 EP.

None of the characters had such a recovery (both HP and energy). The recovery of HP, of course, is not high, but the energy is replenished in a decent amount.

Onslaught III

The Dark Knight in Black Desert strikes quickly after the dash. From a running start, click LMB, or on it after using the "Misty dash" skill.

Requires 20 MP, 2 second cooldown, level 38 and 20 skill points.

Vendir Mastery can only be used from the swift slot. This skill is a Buff that increases the effectiveness of Knight Strike, Cut Deep, and Onslaught by 20%. Active buff consumes 20 units. mana every 3 sec. When you re-use the skill, the enhancement is canceled. Vendir Mastery does not provide any special benefits, so it is usually only used for mana replenishment or as part of a combo.

Blade protection

This skill allows you to block attacks. It increases defense (+12 for 10 sec.) You cannot move while blocking hits, otherwise the effect will be canceled. The block can be forcibly canceled by pressing [Q] again.

Right moment

This skill is used while blocking hits and inflicts daze on a maximum of 10 targets. The right moment also deals minor damage to opponents. In PvP, it is usually used solely for control.

This is an optional PvE skill that can be picked up if you haven’t gotten it right before awakening. Penetrating darkness is used during block [Q] to turn the enemy back to you (does not work in PvP). Also, the skill can be used to restore mana and weaken enemies (-10 to defense for 10 sec.) In PvP, Penetrating Darkness deals much less damage, and when using the skill on cooldown, the effects of reversal, mana replenishment and weakening of enemy defense do not work.

Cruel cut (optional)

Cruel Cut is an optional PvE skill that should be pumped if you don't have access to awakened skills. A cruel slash is a swing with a sword that hits up to 7 targets and restores mana to the character on each hit. You can also use the ultimate version of the skill (LMB + RMB). It hits a maximum of 10 targets and knocks them back (does not work in PvP). In PvE, the skill deals strong damage, in PvP, the effect is significantly reduced.

Extermination

+ [RMB]

We do not recommend pumping this skill. It can even be locked to avoid combo conflicts. Annihilation deals moderate damage, when using a skill during cooldown or in PvP, the effect is significantly reduced.

Execution (optional)

This skill is optional, it should only be pumped if you have extra points and no access to awakened skills. You can experiment with Execution and decide if you can do without it. At maximum rank, the skill hits up to 10 targets and, upon successful use, imposes a daze on them. The absolute and ultimate versions of the skill also bring tangible benefits, so if you decide to play with Execution, we recommend that you pump it to the maximum. Limit: Execution is used by [RMB] + [S]. On a successful cast without a cooldown, this skill deals additional damage and knocks enemies into the air.

Vendir's wrath

Fast slot

The skill consumes 100% of the Black Spirit's anger, hits up to 10 targets, deals heavy damage to them and knocks them down. Vendir's Wrath has a 100% chance to deal a critical hit, as well as additional damage if you have 100% Black Spirit's Wrath.

Chosen Kamasilva

[LMB] +

This skill deals heavy damage and is a dash at a short distance. If during the dash the character does not encounter obstacles, he replenishes more mana, and his attack radius is increased by 50%. When using this ability, the character blocks all hits and knocks out a maximum of 10 targets.

Circle of rock

This skill deals heavy damage and knocks up a maximum of 10 targets (at maximum rank). During the use of the ability, the character gains stability. In PvP, the damage from Circle of Doom is reduced, but the skill is still considered useful (due to its resilience).

Ash Raven (optional)

This skill is optional, however many players use it successfully and even apply various modifiers to it. We recommend that you invest in this skill only before awakening. You can experiment with Ash Crow and decide if you can do without it. The skill consumes 200% of the Black Spirit's Rage and, if used successfully, knocks over up to 7 targets. In PvP, damage is reduced, but the skill still deals critical damage with a 100% chance.

Flower of the Fallen

This skill stuns up to 7 targets and restores health and mana to the character.

Spirit Blade

[space] in certain situations

This skill deals strong damage and is used in special cases - for example, after the Spirit of the hunter. The Spirit Blade also stuns enemies and restores 10 damage. mana for each hit. When used during cooldown, the character gains no mana.

Hail of blades

(hold RMB)

This skill has a medium range. When applied, the character takes several steps forward and provokes a series of explosions that deal damage and reduce the movement speed of the hit targets by 25%. The duration of the effect is 10 sec.

Dark attraction

This skill deals damage to enemies in front of the character, and imposes a daze effect on them. On each successful hit, the character restores 15 health. mana.

Seed of destruction

The skill consumes 200% of the Black Spirit's anger, damages enemies in front of the character, and imposes a daze effect on them. The skill deals a critical hit with a probability of 100%, and during the use the character gains resistance. The Seed of Destruction is actively used in battles for nodes and during sieges, where the dark knight needs to inflict heavy damage and control opponents without approaching them.

Spiritual fire

This skill is a double swing of the blade and knocks out opponents, provided that the second blow has reached the target. The skill deals damage from weapons and magic, the damage is always critical. When applied during cooldown, the skill deals less damage and does not knock out opponents. Cooldown is 7 seconds. (at maximum rank - 5 sec.)

Elemental explosion

+ [LMB]

The skill consumes 100% of the Black Spirit's anger and with a probability of 100% deals critical damage to enemies in front of the character. With each hit, the character restores 10 health. mana, and the indicator of the protection of opponents is reduced by 20 units. The effect lasts 10 seconds. The skill also stuns all targets hit. When used while on cooldown, the stun is not applied and the damage is reduced.

Dark touch

The skill deals 4 blows to opponents in front of the character. Each successful hit restores health to the character and knocks out the affected targets. When using the skill during cooldown, the CC effect is not applied, and the damage is reduced.

Combo: Seed of Destruction

[LMB] after Seed of Destruction

Combo: Seed of Destruction can be cast immediately after the normal Seed of Destruction by clicking the left mouse button. The skill always deals a critical hit and gives the character stability in movement. When moving backward, the character does not collide with obstacles.

Combo: Spiritual Fire

[RMB] after Spiritual fire

This skill can be used immediately after Spiritual Fire by pressing the right mouse button. It deals an additional blow (with a probability of 100% damage is critical) and knocks out opponents. When using Combo: Spiritual Fire, the character gains resistance.

Combo: Rain of Blades

[LMB] after Blade Rain

The skill is applied after the Rain of Blades by clicking the left mouse button and inflicts additional damage to enemies. The skill has a 100% chance to deal a critical strike from weapons and magic.

6. Dark Knight Absolutes in BDO

  • Absolute: Vendir's Wrath - Requires level 59 (35 skill points)
  • Absolute: Night Mirage - Requires level 58 (45 skill points)
  • Absolute: Circle of Doom - Requires level 60 (54 skill points)

We highly recommend using Absolute: Vendir's Wrath, Absolute: Mirage of the Night and Absolute: Circle of Doom... Vendir's Wrath is the dark knight's finest absolute. This ability deals heavy damage and knocks down the enemy on impact. Night Mirage enhances the damage of a commonly used ability, while Circle of Doom grants resilience and a bonus to damage.

First of all, you need to take Vindir's Wrath, Mirage of the Night and the Circle of Doom.

  • Absolute: Oblique cut - Requires level 56 (30 skill points)
  • Absolute: Leap Forward - Requires level 56 (27 skill points)
  • Absolute: Ash Raven - Requires level 58 (30 skill points)

Absolute: Oblique Slash is a good skill that deals decent damage in both PvE and PvP. It also provides front protection, which is very useful in PvP. Swoop Usually used for fast movement, but in the ultimate version, the ability does good damage. Absolute: Ash Raven is an optional skill that is used in special situations, and is also required to get a slave at level 57.

Optional absolutes:

  • Absolute: Penetrating Darkness - Requires Level 57 (32 Skill Points)
  • Absolute: Chosen of Kamasylve - Requires level 60 (40 skill points)
  • Absolute: Elbow Strike - Requires Level 56 (18 Skill Points)

You can choose any of these skills according to your personal preference. Absolute: Penetrating Darkness is rarely used in PvP. This skill is more suitable for PvE, where you often need to replenish mana. Absolute: Chosen Kamasylve, Absolute: Elbow and Absolute: Piercing thrust are also optional. They do good damage, but they don't play a critical role. If you don't have extra points, forget about these skills.

7. Rabams

Level 56

  • Ashes of Shadows- Requires [Wrath of Vedir] and [Shadowflame II]
  • Land of the vendir- Requires [Wrath of Vedir] and [Flower of the Fallen V]

You can try both talents and choose based on personal preference. Ashes of Shadows is similar to Ash Raven, but has a faster proc and has a shorter range. Vedir Land makes a good combo with Vedir's Wrath and is commonly used in PvE to engage monsters. At the same time, the skill gives stability, so it can be used in PvP as well.

Level 57

  • Black ash- Requires [Circle of Doom V] and [Ash Raven V]
  • Doom blade- Requires [Circle of Doom V] and [Stab III]

Both skills are not very good. If you don't have too many points, you can take nothing at all. If you still want to choose, take Black Ash, as it gives the character stability. Using the Blade of Doom makes the character vulnerable. Instead of this skill, we recommend using the Stab attack + Circle of Doom combo.

8. Weapons and armor for the Dark Knight in BDO

Currently, the best weapons in the game are dropped from world bosses.

Main weapon:

Craig Messer Roshar usually used when pumping. Get it to at least +7 for leveling and up to +16 or higher after leveling, if you don't have Liberto or Kzarka. If possible, buy Craig Messer Roshar +15 to save materials. To compensate for the difference in attack power bonuses with Liberto or Kzarka, you need to buy or craft Roshar's yellow Combat Gloves. Be sure to insert stones into the slots to bring the attack speed and critical strike indicators to 5.

Another good primary weapon is the Craig Messer Yuria, which is similar in stats to Roshar. You can also wear Long Craig Messer Steed when leveling up. It can be bought from a blacksmith, it gives + 18-22 to attack power and a lot of accuracy.

Craig Messer Liberto- the second most powerful main weapon that can be obtained and improved without much difficulty (compared to Kzarka). Basically, you can skip the stage with Liberto and immediately take Kzarka after Roshar, especially if you don't have too much money. If you have money and you want to invest it in Liberto, buy version +15 or higher to save on materials. Try to upgrade it to +16 or higher as soon as possible. If you already have Liberto +18, try to get Kzarka. Liberto's weapons provide more attack power than Roshar, as well as +3 critical chance.

Craig Messer Kzarky- the best (and irreplaceable) primary weapon for high-level PvP. Compared to Liberto, Kzarka gives more accuracy and +3 attack speed.

Additional weapon:

Thayer's lanyard- This is an additional weapon with accuracy and evasion. It's great for beginners. In addition, it can be used in battles against opponents with high evasion rates. Upgrade Thayer to +15 as quickly as possible, but only if you don't need to upgrade your main and awakened weapons. If possible, upgrade Thayer to the maximum, this will give you a small increase in accuracy and damage from special attacks. The downside to this weapon is that it only has one stone slot.

Kutum's lanyard gives bonuses to attack and defense, and also increases accuracy and damage to monsters. Kutum's lanyard also gives + 10% to ignore resistance and has two slots for stones. Thanks to the bonuses to accuracy and damage against monsters, Kutum's Lanyard is considered the best secondary weapon for PvE.

Nouver's Lanyard- This is the best secondary weapon for high-level play as a dark knight, especially if your attack and accuracy indicators are high enough. Before putting on Nouver's Bracelets, you need to gain at least +350 to accuracy. This weapon provides a large bonus to attack and increases all resistance indicators by 10%. Nouver works well against opponents with high damage reduction rates. If you don't have enough money to upgrade Nouver, take Thayer and Unimproved Nouver and change them depending on the target type.

Awakened Weapon:

Old Vediant is a green-quality weapon sold by some gunsmiths. When completing tasks for awakening, you can get the Old Vediant +10. This weapon provides less attack power than all the others, but it can still be used in PvE due to such characteristics as damage to all races (+5). The training cestus can be easily upgraded and cheaply repaired, so if you don't have a lot of money or are often involved in PvP battles, you can wear it until you get the Vediant of the Karanda.

Faceless Vediant is a blue-quality weapon that is awarded for completing all awakening missions. It can also be bought from Smugglers (Night Vendors). Repairing the Faceless Vediant will cost you more than repairing the Old Vediant. The Faceless Vediant works well in PvP, as it gives +7 damage to humans and also more attack power than the Old Vediant.

Earrings:

Use Asula's Eye Earrings whenever possible, especially if you have recently started playing. Earrings give +7 attack power and a good recruitment effect. A good substitute would be Pares Earrings (+2 attack power) or other earrings with a bonus to attack power - for example, Witch Ornament or Blue Coral Earrings.

Witch Ornament or Blue Coral Earrings can be upgraded to +17 or +18 (+9 and +11 to attack power, respectively). After that, you need to get Tunr's Earrings and improve them to +17 (+11 to attack power). Tunra Earrings are the finest jewelry in the game.

If you lack accuracy, you can wear Red Coral Earrings (they give accuracy and a little attack power). Red coral earrings must be worn in a single copy, having improved them to at least +17. Otherwise, you will lose too much attack power.

The Earrings of Illyria should also be mentioned. They can only be obtained at level 62, but they provide a lot of attack power. In fact, the Earrings of Illyria are comparable to the Earrings of Tunr +18.

Another viable option is the Sun Earring [Ruby], which is suitable for those who prefer the defense and evasion build.

The Royal Ring of Sahazard can be obtained from quests in Valencia (part I and II). The Royal Ring of Sahazard cannot be upgraded. Wear it until you upgrade Temple Protector Ring or Shadow Ghost to +16 or +17.

Also noteworthy is the Ring of Illyria. It can be obtained at level 61 and gives a nice bonus to attack power. Ring of Illyria is usually used as a spare item when sharpening and is in fact an analogue of the Ring of the Temple Protector +3.

If your Critical Strike Rating is less than 5, replace the Kamasylvian Special Lunch with the Lagri Seafood Lunch. Always eat Lagri Seafood Lunch last as it has the least effect.

Recipe for Lagri Seafood Lunch:

It is recommended to use one of the Kron elixirs, the Elixir of the Giant, as the main elixir. To prepare it, you must press the L key, select the "Normal Alchemy" item and put the ingredients below into the slots. Profession skills and additional processing of ingredients are not required.

Elixirs of Kron do not stack with other elixirs, with the exception of Balm of Courage, Balm of Speed, Elixir of Dark Water, Potion of Kark, Forest Spirit Extract, Elixir from Whale Veins and Special Elixir from Whale Veins.

If you drink the Cron Elixir while under the influence of another elixir, the new effect will replace the previous one. The effects of elixirs and Cron meals are cumulative.

The dark knight makes three lightning strikes, crushing not only armor, but also the souls of enemies. Reinforced by a black aura, the swings of the sword will inflict enormous damage on the enemy.

The dark knight consumes the fallen souls of nature to seize their power to inflict colossal damage on all nearby enemies.

When the world was created, the great goddess Sylvia descended to earth to give part of her divine power to the tree of being. And she called this tree Kamasylvia, and all the surrounding lands, Kamasylvia.

So that the accordion reigned forever in the world, Sylvia created two high elves: Garnel the light and the moon-faced Vedir. The magic Kamasylve tree was intended to forever maintain a balance between good and evil, and share its powerful energy with the brothers, but greedy demons came to the smell of its magic, who decided to take control of it, and a great battle began. The high elves lost many and they could not hold back, they asked for the help of the tree. Kamasylve, with her indestructible power, overthrew all evil, but with this the tree wasted all its strength and plunged into a deep sleep, and its dry branches were used by Garnel and Vendrir to create Elemental blades.

Since that time, the brothers have been in search of a new source of magic. Garnel did not want to believe that the tree had lost its divine power forever, so he decided to stay with his like-minded people in Kamasylvia in order to protect the shrine until it regains its magic.

But Vendir had a different opinion on this matter, and he went with his supporters in search of another source that would give them strength to protect the brothers. All who followed Vendrir were called The Dark Knights of Black Desert... But there were also those who went alone to look for a source for their purposes. These elves were called the Wanderers.

At level 20, each swordsman receives a profession quest. After you have successfully completed it, you have the opportunity to choose your character. This one will be useful for those who decide to go over to the side of evil and take the dark knight.

The Dark Knight is a profession for the swordsman class that focuses more on attack than defense. A dark knight can have two types of weapons: a two-handed sword, or a one-handed sword and shield. At the beginning of the game, it won't be more important which weapon to use. At higher levels, skills appear that require one type of weapon. You will have to choose which skills are more important to you.

Parameters and characteristics

The Dark Knights, like the rest of the heroes in Royal Quest, have 4 characteristics: strength, agility, luck, and endurance. We will not describe them, you can read the description on the site. For our Persian, the most important are strength and endurance. Our attack power depends on the first, and the amount of HP depends on endurance.

For every 10 points of the characteristic, you receive a multiplicity bonus:

  • strongman - for every ten strength you get + 15 to attack;
  • dodger - for every ten agility you get + 2.5% to attack speed;
  • big guy - for every ten stamina you get + 15 to energy;
  • lucky - for every ten strength you get + 1% to the chance of crit.
Parameter points do not affect other characteristics. Dodge, Defense, Critical Strike Power, these are standard stats, but they can be increased with the help of bonuses from weapons, cards and seals.

From a knight, you can make a hero of a different plan, from a super tank to an auto-attacker / critic. But the main damage still comes from skills, which mainly depend on the attack power.

Dark knight skills

The knight has many very useful skills, which are mainly aimed at attack. There are also counter-skills that target enemies to prevent them from playing comfortably. Active skills are improved by talents, so a weak skill at first can then become a formidable weapon. There are 2 types of skills: basic, which are available to the swordsman and the skills of the knight himself.

Swordsman skills

  • Crushing blow - for 12 energy deals 140-220% damage.
  • Shield bash - if you chose pumping with a shield, then this skill will deal 140-220% damage. Doesn't miss.
  • Wrath - the dark knight strikes a strong kick on the ground, knocking up enemies and reducing dodge by 20. Mass skill, useful against thieves.
  • Dash is a good skill that quickly propels you towards your opponent, dealing damage. When you get close, the enemy slows down. After pumping talents, this skill is easy to drive "trains" of monsters.
  • Steel Protection - an aura on armor for all members of your group.
  • Spear Throw - Deals good damage to the selected target. Rollback 9 seconds.
  • Pierce - 80-130% damage in the direction of impact. Doesn't miss.
  • Breakthrough is a skill that you use while riding a mount. Deals damage to enemies in the direction of impact and does not miss. Using a breakthrough, you can both get out of the battle in time, or just inflict damage on standing enemies.
  • Warrior Strike - 120-180% damage, as well as an additional bonus from the type of your weapon. (Hammer - stun for 2 seconds, ax reduces defense by 20%, sword - reduces attack by 10%).

Dark knight skills

  • Capturing power - the knight can pull the enemy towards him from 10 meters. Skills inflict 40% of your attack damage to the target, as well as 60% for each meter of distance.
  • Steel Spikes is an aura that returns the received damage to the enemy. Only works for melee heroes.
  • Domination is a good skill, which is convenient for finishing off the enemy when he has little life. If a nearby enemy drops below 20% health, the skills will be highlighted.
  • Bone Armor - for 15 seconds, reduces damage received by 30%.
  • Bloody Harvest is an excellent skill that, in addition to the damage of 170-265% of the attack power, also heals you for 150% of the damage done.
  • Earthquake is a massive, impossible-to-miss skill. Removing enemies from invisibility. For each point of rage, it adds damage. All rage points are consumed.
  • Plague Blade - Deals basic minor damage, and also damages an enemy target for 6 seconds.
  • Rage Burst is a great mass skill. For each point, the dark knight throws out skulls, which, when exploded, inflict damage to everyone around.
  • Unbridled anger is a skill that allows you to forget about energy consumption for a while. However, it consumes 1 rage per second.

We will analyze only the active talents of each of the branches. There are 4 branches of talents in total (1 branch refers to the swordsman and 3 for the dark knight).

Dark Knight talents

Blood
Seal of Nosferatu- a useful skill that will significantly help the dark knight survive longer. For three attacks, your character will be healed for 50% of the damage dealt.
Power
Victim is another useful skill derived from talents. The knight places a mark on the enemy, which accumulates the received damage. After the victim dies, 80% of the accumulated damage is dissipated on the ground.
Steel
Ice attack- Deals 170-265% water damage, freezing the enemy. When you attack a frozen target, armor is ignored.

How to level up our dark knight

Gradually, we got closer to that part of the guide where you need to describe the ways to quickly level up your character. This has always been a problem for Royal Quest, as experience gains quite slowly. You need to do all the daily quests, killing the necessary mobs in batches. If you don't want to bother about kill / fetch, then run to some location and just kill packs of mobs. In order to collect packs of 20 monsters, the dark knight is weak enough. However, our hero has several skills with which to really kill a big "train".


You need to grow up to such a swing first. Up to level 30, you will not have any special problems raising the level. The monsters are not very strong yet, and our talent tree has not been reset yet. At around level 30, we can easily make a large pack of amber ants. The skill "Rage Burst" helps to kill them. Skulls do a lot of damage, and Blood Harvest will restore your health. So you can save on consumable potions.

From level 38, we have a wide variety of good pumping options. We can move to the Endinopolis location, where crabs, crocodiles and scorpions are the best mobs. The latter, I do not recommend collecting a large pack, they are too tenacious.

After level 42-43, it will be advisable to unite in a group with a wizard (you should already have acquaintances by this time), and take out large packs of monsters. The tactics are simple: the wizard with the Force Field skill collects a large pack of monsters, you use Rage Burst, then take cover under the wizard's field. You are waiting for the skill rollback, and so on. This way of organizing the grind (killing mobs in order to increase the level) will be useful for both you and the wizard.

After we get the twentieth level, we have one free reset of talents. I recommend you keep it and use it at level 48-49 if you plan on playing for a long time.

If you made a mistake in development, and your character has not even taken the thirtieth level yet, then it makes sense to create a new Persian and pump it over again. Fortunately, there will already be experience and knowledge gained.
