Clothes for a summer interview. How to dress appropriately for an interview at different times of the year. Hairstyle, manicure, makeup

Choosing clothes for an interview on a hot and humid day is not easy. You need to dress in a way that you will not be hot, but at the same time you should look collected and professional. You will not get a second chance to make a first impression, and well-chosen clothing will help you create the right image in the eyes of the employer. In this case, you will have to sacrifice your comfort.

Steps

Clothes preparation

Ask the recruiting manager about the dress code. You will need to dress appropriately for the company's existing corporate culture. Call or write to the recruiting manager and ask about the dress code.

    • Find out how it is customary to dress in the industry in which you work. If you are unsure of the correctness of your choice, give preference to something neutral and conservative.
  1. Wash, mend and iron clothes. There should be no stains, torn buttons, open seams or folds on things. Don't show up for an interview untidy.

Try on clothes. Make sure you have all the things you need a few days before your due date. Try on clothes to see how comfortable you will be in them in the heat and in the sun.

Choose a blouse. Blouses made of natural or rayon look good with suits, but at the same time you need to wear a jacket from the suit on top. A thick cotton shirt is also ideal for a business suit.

Wear the suit jacket with the dress. If you decide to wear a dress, complete the look with a jacket.

    • You can also wear a neat belt over a dress with a jacket, but this way you won't be able to remove the jacket on your way to the interview.
    • Remember that the room where you will be interviewing is likely to be air-conditioned. It might be cold there. Put on a jacket and you won't be cold.
  2. Use underarm tabs. These are special disposable pads that are attached to the inside of the sleeves and protect clothes from sweat, stains and odors. They are sold online and in large stores.

Leave your fancy scarf at home. At any other time of the year, a silk scarf will look good with a suit, but in summer it will be superfluous, because it will make you even hotter.

Put on tights or stockings. You may decide to ditch pantyhose or stockings to keep yourself warm, but that looks unprofessional, especially in the business world.

    • Wear skin-colored tights that match your skin tone.
  3. Choose inconspicuous jewelry. Your jewelry should not draw attention to itself. If the decorations are conspicuous, the HR manager will look at them rather than listen to you.

    • If you are applying for a position in the creative field, more flashy decorations are acceptable, but it is important to always consider the norms of corporate culture. If in doubt, choose something more modest.
  4. Pick shoes with a closed toe. Do not wear sandals - it is better to choose closed shoes. Dress shoes in a neutral color with flat soles or heels (the heel should not be too high) will work well with your clothes.

Clean your shoes. Get your shoes in order before the interview. Use shoe cream of the appropriate color. Follow the instructions on the package.

Classic men's style

Put on a light suit. Pick a suit made of light fabric (wool or cotton). If you decide to choose a woolen suit, it is better to wear one in which the lining reaches the middle or up to a quarter of the length. Mid-lined jackets have lining in the sleeves and sides. There is lining on the back only in the upper half.

    • Wear a suit in blue, gray or any other light color. Avoid black - it looks gloomy.
    • Do not wear a linen suit, as such things wrinkle quickly. This will make you look casually dressed.
    • Remember that the office where the interview will take place will most likely have air conditioning. It might even be cold there. Put on a jacket to keep warm.
  1. Wear pants that fit well. Choose trousers or slacks that will look good with a suit jacket. They should sit on the figure - not too tight and not too loose.

Wear a long sleeve shirt that matches your suit. It is better to take a light-colored shirt (white, blue, light gray). A perfect white shirt always looks fresh. It is better to choose plain or striped shirts in classic colors. The shirt should also fit the figure - not too tight and not too loose.

Use underarm tabs. These are special disposable pads that are attached to the inside of the sleeves and protect clothes from sweat, stains and odors. They are sold online and in large stores.

    • Keep in mind that the room can get chilly with the air conditioner, and a jacket will come in handy.
  2. Tie a silk tie. Pick a light tie in a color that will blend in with your suit. Avoid ties with extravagant patterns or bright colors. A red tie would be inappropriate for an interview.

    • Even if you choose not to tie your tie, you will still need to wear a collared shirt. Just leave the top button open.
  3. Put on your socks. You may decide not to wear socks to keep you cool, but you shouldn't do that, especially in a business setting.

    • Choose socks in a neutral color. Avoid frilly socks.
  4. Wear closed shoes. It is better to opt for classic shoes rather than summer sandals. Shoes must be black or brown.

    • If the company has an informal work environment, sandals are acceptable, but flip-flops or crocs should not be present at the interview. Check with your recruiting manager for details of the dress code.
    • If the interview will take place in a place where shoes must be safe (construction, hospital), pick up a suitable pair.
  5. Clean your shoes. Clean and polish your shoes to remove dirt and scuffs. Shoe cream should match the color of the skin. Follow the instructions on the package.

Self care for women

Don't use a lot of makeup. An interview is not the best occasion to experiment with bright lipsticks or thick arrows. Use light brown eyeliner and shadows of the appropriate color. Apply pale pink or pale red lipstick.

    • When you start to sweat, your makeup may smudge or bleed a little. Be prepared to fix your makeup before the interview.
  1. Cut your hair. If you have a short haircut, you should cut the ends no earlier than a week before the interview. Long hair does not need to be cut, but if you have split ends, it is better to fix it.

Long hair can make you feel very hot, and it will be noticeable. Hair can stick to the neck and face. Make a simple and reliable hairstyle with which you will not be hot. Avoid complicated hairstyles that can fall apart and cause the strands to stick to the skin.

Don't go overboard with perfume. As your body temperature rises and you begin to sweat, the scent of the perfume will become stronger. If you apply a lot of toilet water, the smell will become suffocating in the heat. Just a couple of drops on the wrists and behind the ears.

Trim your nails. Tidy up your nails so they look neat. Getting a manicure is optional, although you may want to treat yourself before your interview.

Use neutral or pale nail polish, or don't paint your nails at all. Lacquer should not be conspicuous. Don't paint your nails in bright colors or put designs on them.

Self care for men

Gently shave or trim your mustache and beard. Do everything very carefully. If you have a mustache and/or beard, tidy them up.

Get your hair cut. Cut your hair no earlier than a week before the interview. If you have long hair, it is not necessary to cut it, but if the ends are split, it is better to cut them.

Keep long hair away from your face and neck. If you wear long hair, it is better to put it in a ponytail. Loose hair will make you feel too hot, and it will be noticeable. Hair will stick to the face and neck, creating discomfort.

Do not use too much toilet water. As your body temperature rises and you begin to sweat, the scent of the perfume will intensify. A strong smell can become suffocating. Just a few drops of eau de toilette or aftershave cologne are enough.

The interview is an important step in the test of strength. Everyone who has ever got a job knows that tricky questions from future employers can lead to a dead end, from which the only direct path is to the labor exchange. To avoid failures in hiring, you need to know a few rules of correct behavior, but the most important thing is to remember that "they are met by clothes." So if you don’t want to hear the cold: “We will call you back”, you should know in advance what to wear to the interview. After all, the first impression can be decisive.

How important is appearance?

Sociologists say that the employer makes a decision about candidates within a few seconds. You should not rely on only one appearance, but a lot really depends on it. What is the first thing that catches your eye? What to wear to an interview for a girl, and what for a man?

Your clothing should be in harmony with the position you are applying for. So there is absolutely no point in dressing in youth jeans with folds if you are counting on the position of deputy director in a large firm. Do not forget about one important statement of psychologists. They recommend that you come to the interview wearing clothes that are priced at half the salary you expect. Remember that the first impression of you should be very good. After all, this is already half the success.

Company dress code

Today, almost every self-respecting company has its own website on the Internet. Often it is created specifically for the purpose of finding new and promising personnel. So if you are seriously thinking about how to go for an interview, then do not be too lazy to study the website of the company whose vacancy you are interested in. Very often there you can find a lot of useful information. Including the dress code, if any. This will greatly increase your chances of future success.

Universal option

If you didn’t manage to find the information, or the dress code simply doesn’t exist in the company, then you need to build on comfort first of all. What is the best way to go for an interview? It is clear that you should not go in jeans and sneakers, but choosing clothes that you will be comfortable in is half the battle. You should feel confident, and not adapt to the "framework". First, it will be conspicuous. Secondly, if you spend the entire interview squirming in your chair because the new skirt is too tight, then nothing good will come of it. Thus, you will only create an image of a person who is nervous and insecure. And, most likely, the employer will be forced to refuse you.

Gross mistakes

What to wear to an interview? There are certain general requirements. Excessive sexuality is strictly unacceptable. Leave everything leopard, very short, and flashy at home. Underwear should not peek out from under the clothes. A bare stomach is also a bad helper. So you get a job except in a strip club. Any bracelets and too long earrings are prohibited. Take care of your bag too. Worn handles will not go unnoticed. Also, do not come to the interview in too high heels.

Men, avoid sandals, T-shirts and stretchy sweaters. In no case do not wear massive gold chains and rings. And check your shoes. Erased noses and heels are strictly unacceptable.

It is quite difficult to remember all the nuances and subtleties. Therefore, be guided by the general principles: neat, well-groomed and clean. This is perhaps the most important thing.

For those who are creative

What is better to wear for an interview if you are a representative of the creative profession? First, don't be afraid to show it. Confirm your non-standard profession in a stylish, and most importantly, unusual way. The clown costume, of course, is overkill. But skirts and dresses with an asymmetrical cut and a memorable finish will do just fine. Colored jackets and blouses are also acceptable.

Classic for women

What should a woman wear to an interview if you are completely confused and do not know what to wear? This question was answered by Coco Chanel. The little black dress is a win-win. You can wear a small neat belt over it. But it should only be worn with a jacket. Add modest accessories and delicate classic shoes to your look - business style is ready.

If you decide to wear a suit made of wool, then choose a jacket where the lining is only half or a quarter of the length. Thus, you will not be hot, because the fabric will be able to "breathe". The blouse in the suit must be made of natural silk. A thick cotton shirt would also work. You can also come in a skirt. But it is important to remember that the length should be just above the knees. It is considered a classic. Also, if you choose the right length, the skirt won't ride up when you crouch. Don't forget tights. Ideally, they should match the color of your skin.

Makeup and hair

Do not forget about the right makeup and hairstyle. Hair should be styled as neatly as possible. You can make a bunch or collect in a tail. If your bangs fall over your eyes, it is better to remove them and pin them with a hairpin. Otherwise, it will interfere with both you and your interviewer during the interview. You will constantly be distracted and lose the thread of the conversation. Makeup should not be too bright. Natural is best. Slightly emphasize the eyes and lips. Discreet shades will look perfect. As for the flavor. Don't use perfumes that are too strong. This may not be to everyone's liking.

Options for gentlemen

In what clothes to go to an interview, if we are talking about a strong half? In fact, things are much simpler here. A classic two-piece suit is perfect. Dark blue, dark gray or just black is always a good option. A fitted white shirt will look best. The size of the collar should be slightly larger than your neck. This will help you avoid choking if you overreact to everything that happens. If you don’t like the suit, then it can be easily replaced with trousers and a classic dark-colored sweater.

You may not wear a tie. But if you decide, then you need to know a few fairly simple rules. It will look good with any suit plain and without patterns. It can be red or blue. And most importantly, tie your tie properly. The wide one is tied only with medium knots. A thin tie can be tied with absolutely any knot. If you wear a tie, take care of the clip. Classic silver will always fit.

What is clearly not worth going to an interview for a man? You can not even talk about a tracksuit or jeans. This is clearly a very bad option. By the way, this is a terrible idea even if you get a job at a fitness center. This style of clothing is definitely not suitable for an interview.

Shoes must be polished to a shine. Use a special sponge for this. It is recommended to wear black lace-up boots to the interview. Also available in dark brown. By the way, a classic belt for pants must match the color of your boots. Oh, and don't forget your socks. Black and without holes. New ones are best. Put things in order not only in the head, but also on it. Don't let your hair stick out in all directions. It is best to get a short haircut in advance. Despite the fact that now the beard is in fashion, it is still recommended to shave it off. This way you will look neater. The same goes for the mustache.

Most men do not like to visit beauty salons. But if you go to an interview, then take care of the cleanliness of your hands. Nails must be trimmed. And no dirt under them. Few will like it. Wedding rings are welcome. This suggests that you are most likely a serious person. Other decorations are better prudently removed. Especially when it comes to earrings or piercings. Just like women, men are recommended light scents of cologne. And don't overdo it. Do not pour the whole bottle on yourself. A good impression will help to make a portfolio. Put a notepad, a couple of pens, or a brand new gadget in there.

Women's images in summer

What should a girl wear to an interview in the summer? Hot weather is not always good. Eternal misfortune - sweat and smell. To avoid such problems, it is best to completely abandon synthetic fabrics. In addition, special underarm tabs can be purchased at the store. These are small pads that are fixed inside the sleeves. So you can definitely avoid problems with unpleasant odors.

What to wear to an interview in the summer? At this time, dresses or skirts in light green, pale pink and blue tones are recommended. But don't overdo it. Keep a business and strict style. A sleeveless dress can be combined with a jacket. Among other things, try to avoid any patterns on your clothes. It is better to refuse blouses with short sleeves, even in summer. If you still dare to wear such a thing, then watch your bra strap very carefully. She shouldn't peek.

If you know how to properly wear classic capri pants, then boldly go for it. Match them with a neat short-sleeve tunic and you will look just fine. A pencil skirt and shirt would be the best choice. You can also wear a dress of medium length, but only one-color, with a three-quarter sleeve. You can put on a jacket, but if the sun is too hot, it's best to leave it at home. The same applies to the silk scarf. It certainly looks nice, but you will definitely be very hot with it.

By the way, even in extreme heat you will have to wear tights. By the way, do not be too lazy to take a couple of spares with you. Coming to an interview with shooters on your feet is the worst option. Recommended 8 days. Bare feet are strictly prohibited.

Shoes must be closed toe. So sandals won't fit. Ballet flats are the best. Try to avoid overly high heels. There is no need to talk about flip flops - this is unacceptable.

Summer clothing options for men

What should a man wear for an interview in the summer? Everything is a little different from the winter version. A suit is best, but without a jacket. It can be replaced with a vest. A short sleeve shirt is perfect. Linen suits should not be worn. They will quickly wrinkle, and you will look very untidy and sloppy. T-shirts, T-shirts and shorts cannot be worn even in forty-degree heat. This is a hard taboo.

As for shoes. Men deal with this much easier than women. A light summer classic will always fit. If the general dress code of the company allows you to slightly deviate from strict restrictions, then you can choose moccasins, topsiders or loafers. Wristwatches are a good accessory.

Take with you

What to go for an interview, we figured out. What can you take with you? To show that you are serious, you can enlist the support of modern gadgets. Take a handy tablet or compact laptop with you. This will help the employer create the right impression of you. And, if you decide to bring something like that, do not be too lazy to make a couple of notes. This will emphasize your business approach and will not go unnoticed. In addition, with the help of technology, you can easily showcase your portfolio.

Now that you know exactly how to make a first impression, it's worth considering how to answer all the important questions correctly. First of all, don't worry. Behave naturally. Once you decide what to wear to the interview, sit down, calm down and put your thoughts in order. Do not panic ahead of time. The employer will sense your fear and insecurity. And that's the worst. After all, no one needs an insecure employee. Take care in advance about what you will say. Remember that although they "meet by clothes, they see off by mind." Dare, and you will succeed.

Don't forget, before getting to the bottom and getting to your professional skills and strengths, a potential employer will have to evaluate the external presentation. Help yourself and him: speak for yourself everything that you have to say at the interview, with the help of clothes, accessories, makeup and styling. But do not forget to observe the rules of decency and know when to stop.

Especially about the sense of proportion, you need to remember when considering the images from the shows. You can start adapting ideas from the catwalks to everyday life if you already have a stable job, but for an interview it is better to choose proven solutions, refusing to be too harsh statements. You can still make them.

Popular

Yes, you probably don’t wear a button-down shirt very often in ordinary life, but in an interview it will look appropriate. Regardless of whether your future place of work involves the strictest dress code or some relaxations are possible. In both cases, a blue shirt will look best.

You should not come to the interview (if it is not some specific profession) with small bags. They are designed for a free lifestyle and evening pastime. Show off your solidity by choosing a quality leather bag that can hold your documents and maybe a computer. Fortunately, modern brands finally began to appear and beautiful bags for laptops.

If the desired position goes beyond the most strict business dress code and involves a healthy dose of creativity (say, your profession is a coach, psychologist, marketing specialist), then instead of ordinary trousers, you can choose trousers with straps. If you are not sure and you are afraid that HR will be in a suit buttoned up with all the buttons, throw a jacket on top.

A white pantsuit is a win-win option if you need to stand out from other job seekers. For example, the desired position does not require a formal dress code, but along with your own talent, you need to declare your seriousness and accuracy. A white suit will be the most effective. You can even combine it with a T-shirt if your work is truly creative, but we would advise you to replace the sneakers that fit perfectly into the everyday life of a white suit for an interview with concise (or futuristic) ankle boots.

We advise you to prefer a stylish pointed-toe pair with flat straps to high-heeled shoes. Firstly, it will deny your frivolity, secondly, it will indicate a dynamic lifestyle, and thirdly, it will indicate good taste and awareness of the latest trends. And that hasn't bothered any of the applicants yet.

When choosing a kit for an interview (and for work in general), try to avoid unnecessary details. The fewer elements that distract the eye, the more neat and collected the image seems. And do not go too far with the length or fit - the skirt can be either a little higher (no more than a palm, but preferably half a palm), or below the knee. The cut is semi-adjacent or A-shaped.

But if suddenly life is not sweet for you without dresses above the knee, be sure to choose a calm shade, long sleeves and a closed neckline. An excellent effect is given by collars with a “cat bow” - such were loved, for example, by Margaret Thatcher. And do not forget to complement the dress with tight black tights to avoid any hint of a naked body. Your dress code doesn't include black tights? Then give up the dress above the knee in favor of the midi model.

It is quite possible that business "women's" bags are not yours at all. Then you should think about a backpack. No, not an ordinary travel bag, but leather or suede, similar to a good briefcase, but it must be equipped with leather straps. An additional handle to sometimes carry the satchel as a bag would be a plus.

The first thing that is valued in a candidate is adequacy and accuracy. What do we mean by first? The ability to look according to the situation. Hence the question - what to wear to an interview? If you are applying for a managerial position, then you must be wearing a business suit.

If you are a creative specialist - an artist, photographer, designer, then your image, on the contrary, should be individual, the costumes here will look unusual for a recruiter.

In any image, purity and thoughtfulness are valued. Employment is a serious step, and if it is clear that you were preparing for an interview, and not “walking in between business”, then you will be treated favorably. Therefore, it is so important what to wear to the interview and not only that.

Be sure to pay attention to the cleanliness of the nails, the neatness of the shoes. Everything should look neat and tidy.

How to dress for an interview as a woman?

Remember the heroine of "Office Romance"? Many people think that the employer expects you to look like this - strict, ascetic, businesslike. This is partly true. 25% of HR professionals prefer classic clothing when interviewing a candidate. How to please in an interview in this case?

On women, HR specialists prefer to see a skirt no longer than the knee and a blouse with sleeves no less than ¾. In this case, the blouse should be opaque, without frills, ruffles and lace. Business style is a fundamental point in the dress code. A classic dress in a restrained color is also allowed.

The choice of color palette should be non-aggressive. It can be classic blacks, whites, navy blues, grays, and muted shades of other colors.

Brightness and loudness are not welcome. The same goes for accessories, although beautiful, strict bright shoes and a bag can attract attention in a positive way and show your personality. At the same time, shoes should be closed and with low heels, sandals are bad form.

Beads, earrings, bracelets, makeup - all this should also be discreet. We must remember that these are only accessories, and they should not distract attention from your qualities and characteristics.

We figured out how to dress for an interview for a woman, but for men this topic is no less important.

What to wear to an interview for a man?

job interview, the appearance on it for a man is no less important than for a woman. How to present yourself in an interview so that you make a good impression?

25% of employers favor men in suits. A classic light or dark suit and a clean, neat shirt in muted tones is ideal for those who want to get into a good position.

A tie in this image is optional. By this appearance, HR immediately understands how organized and accurate a person is. Please note that shoes must be clean and tidy and match the costume. No sneakers or sandals.

In more liberal companies, you can get a job by wearing a classic sweater and dress pants for an interview. Such a “relaxed” style, with the right choice of colors and materials, looks no less advantageous and is liked by personnel officers.

Colors in clothes for a job interview should be strict and discreet. Pink and red shirts are best left at home. You need to be careful with accessories - too expensive watches can surprise the employer and seem flashy.

What to wear in winter?

What to wear to an interview in the cold season is a very relevant issue for our climate zone. The weather in Russia dictates some conditions of the dress code, but in general, the general recommendations remain the same.

How to dress for a winter interview:

  1. Women can wear a tight, strict woolen dress, with tight tights, neat boots. You can choose a pantsuit with a shirt or thin sweater in a neutral color.

Clothing for a job interview in the winter does not imply any warm tracksuits, sports boots - weather-weather, but the dress code is more important.

  2. Men should opt for a wool suit or classic wool trousers and a classic sweater. Shoes must be clean and tidy on the feet.

Should I use perfume?

How to dress properly for an interview figured out, what about perfumes and colognes? Should I wear perfume before an interview with an employer? It is impossible to give a definitive answer. You need to know the measure and choose the right flavor. It must be something unobtrusive.

If you are in doubt about how pleasant your perfume is, it is best not to use it at all. However, deodorant is worth using. The main rule in smells is moderation. The smell should be barely perceptible.

Hairstyle

The main rule of hair for an interview is neatness and freshness. Hair must be clean and well-groomed.

  1. For women, gathered hair is preferred - in a hairstyle and or a classic ponytail. Short hair is enough to style.
  2. A man should visit the hairdresser shortly before the interview, and on the day of the interview, comb his hair and, if necessary, style it neatly.

What to wear to an interview to be remembered?

For the employer, all the details in your appearance are important, because they form a holistic image. How to look decent and respectable at an interview, how to interest a potential leader?

Attention! Regardless of which image you choose for an interview, you should pay attention to the appearance of nails and accessories. Few companies welcome piercings and tattoos, so keep that in mind when you go for an interview. Do not chew gum or come with coffee.

Correct and correct behavior is another way to show yourself in an interview from the favorable side.

How to sit in an interview?

All HRs are well aware of non-verbal language - body language. Our gestures and body position say more than words. How to sit properly in an interview without looking too cheeky or stiff.

Conclusion

A great resume and a person’s confidence in their competencies are what HR is closely analyzed. But the appearance at the interview is the first thing that catches your eye, and if your interlocutor does not like something, then it will be extremely difficult to persuade him to your side.

Remember that the main requirements are accuracy, restraint and classic style. If you know how to properly present yourself in an interview and know how to use these skills, you have every chance of success.

You are probably preparing for an interview. To help you with this and avoid making too many mistakes, and to get the most out of your stylish look and fashionably knotted tie, I have prepared a guide on how to dress for an interview.

As a rule, in a regular interview, the only thing that guides you is trust. You present yourself at your best and try to make a trusting impression. If you are looking for an ideal person, then the closest person to his “ideal” person appears precisely at an interview for a new job. Therefore, I recommend using a thick, wide and triangular tie, tied with a regular one.

However, in addition to a perfectly tied tie, you need to match the rest, a very important aspect of your image at the interview.

Your appearance matters a lot. As they say: - "Meet by clothes, but see off by the mind." Thus, it is necessary to dress as is customary in most serious companies, where there are certain dress code standards.

The list below should give you a general idea of how to dress for a job interview as a young person and what to avoid:

    • Suit: A classic two-piece charcoal gray or navy blue business suit is the perfect choice for your job interview day. Look, .
    • Shirt: white, long-sleeved and fitted to your figure. This is the topic of a whole book, but I recommend buying at least one white "fitted" shirt, the so-called (slim-fit). Choose a collar size slightly larger than the circumference of your neck. If you tie a tie, you get a little nervous and the pressure rises a little, then with a tight collar you will start to feel suffocated. In order not to run around with a ruler, a simple tip is to put on a shirt, fasten a button on the collar, and if a finger passes between the neck and the collar, then this is your option. If you have to push your finger through or the whole palm fits in, this is not your option. Look, .
    • Tie: an ordinary plain tie, without monograms, blue or dark red, dark blue can be used. Composition - 100% silk, no polyester. Such ties are not much cheaper, but the overall look will definitely be spoiled. .
    • Accessories: Classic silver ensures that your tie stays in place during interviews. Without a clamp, you will end up getting distracted by fixing your tie rather than having a conversation with your potential employer. Plus, make yourself look nervous.
  • Shoes: clean, smeared and polished with shoe polish, black lace-up boots. Maybe dark brown. I recommend reading.
  • Socks: dark socks, black is ideal. No holes, new ones are best. Read the article.
  • Belt: should be classic under trousers, and also match the color of your shoes. Check out the article.
  • Head hair: Make sure your hair is in good condition before the interview. Keep in mind that short haircuts are preferable.
  • Beard: must be shaved off. However, if you know how to present yourself with a beard and it is an integral part of you, you can take a chance and go with it. If there is no beard, find out!
  • Mustache: A fairly rare occurrence, but if you can't shave it off, then tidy it up.
  • Nails: Make sure they are trimmed and there is no dirt under the nails. This does not mean that you have to go to a beauty salon, but you must be able to cut them neatly and clean out the dirt. You can read it on our website.
  • Rings: wedding rings are quite normal, somewhere even a positive moment, but I would not recommend wearing other rings.
  • Earrings and piercings: both should be removed on the day of the interview.
  • Body odor and fresh breath: before going to the interview, take a shower, use deodorant if necessary, make sure your breath is fresh. In no case do not chew chewing gum at a meeting!
  • Perfume and cologne: I strongly recommend using light fragrances and not overdoing it with quantity. Read the article about.
  • Briefcase: Take a briefcase with you, put a notepad and a couple of pens in it. This will make a good impression.

Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of recommendations, but it will allow you to understand a business person. Remember, it's always better to stick to long-established clothing standards when applying for a job than to risk making a bad impression on the doorstep. At the end of the day, you have to be better than the rest of the respondents (the people who showed up for interviews like you) by putting in the extra effort to set yourself apart from your competitors.

I also recommend that on the evening before the day of the interview, choose the set of clothes in which you will go to the meeting. This will allow you to see the "big picture" and, if necessary, correct your image. I think that you are not used to wearing a classic suit and it will be useful for you to get used to it a little. In any case, in the morning you will feel more confident and will not become nervous about a torn off button that you accidentally found just before going out, because you sewed it yesterday, following a simple recommendation.
