OGE - is a form of organizing exams using tasks of a standardized form, the implementation of which allows you to set the level of development of the federal state standard of basic general education.
The main state exam (OGE) or GIA-9 is the main type of exam for graduates of grade 9 in a Russian secondary school. Passing the OGE is necessary to move to the profile 10th grade or enter institutions of secondary vocational education (colleges and technical schools). Graduates of the 9th grade of general educational institutions take exams in two compulsory subjects (Russian language and mathematics) and 2 exams in elective subjects.
The results of the OGE (including unsatisfactory ones) in two elective subjects affect the grades in the certificate of basic education.
If a graduate received an unsatisfactory grade at the OGE in one or two subjects, he is allowed to retake these exams in additional terms.
OGE 2018 schedule and duration: exam duration
For participants of the OGE with disabilities, for graduates belonging to the category of disabled people and children with disabilities, as well as those who, for health reasons, studied at home or in special educational institutions, the duration of the exam is increased by 1.5 hours. The duration of the OGE in foreign languages for these categories of participants is increased by 30 minutes.
If the duration of the exam is 4 hours or more, food for the participants of the exam is organized.

- in mathematics, Russian language, literature - 3 hours 55 minutes (235 minutes);
- in physics, social science, history, biology - 3 hours (180 minutes);
- in informatics and information and communication technologies (ICT) - 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes);
- in chemistry (with laboratory work) - 2 hours 20 minutes (140 minutes);
- in geography, chemistry, foreign languages (English, French, German, Spanish) (except for the "Speaking" section) - 2 hours (120 minutes);

OGE 2018 schedule and duration: what can be used on the exam
When conducting the OGE, the following means of training and education are used:
- in Russian - spelling dictionaries;
- in mathematics - a ruler, reference materials containing the basic formulas of the mathematics course of the educational program of basic general education;
- in physics - a non-programmable calculator, laboratory equipment;
- in chemistry, a non-programmable calculator, laboratory equipment, the periodic table of chemical elements of D.I. Mendeleev, a table of the solubility of salts, acids and bases in water, an electrochemical series of metal voltages;
- in biology - a ruler, a pencil and a non-programmable calculator;

The USE and GVE schedule for graduates of the 11th grade for 2019 is published on the official website of the regional information processing center of the city of Moscow.

Main period

What is GIA and OGE
GIA is an abbreviation derived from the words "state final certification". OGE, respectively, from the words "main state exam". GIA includes two types of exams - OGE and GVE (state final exam). What is the difference?
OGE - is carried out for general educational institutions (schools, gymnasiums, lyceums), and GVE - for special closed accounting institutions, such as schools for difficult teenagers, etc. The OGE is accepted using KIM - control and measuring materials, and the students pass the GVE in the form of tests and tickets.
It is this exam that ninth grade students take to obtain a certificate of secondary education. Therefore, you can often find the writing of GIA-9 in the press, which should be understood as the OGE - exams taken by ninth graders.
What has changed in the OGE in 2017
In 2017, GIA-9 is waiting for significant changes - and this is noticeable even in the draft schedule of the OGE in 2017.
The procedure for passing the OGE will be as close as possible to the exam. It was decided to use the experience gained over the years of the unified state exam back in 2015, but the start of a new delivery program is scheduled for 2016-2017. The main innovation will be a fundamental increase in information security in order to prevent leaks of examination materials, and, consequently, cases of biased assessment of students' knowledge.
