Tank premium account.

The logic for accruing a controlled bonus to experience for a tank premium has been reworked. Now additional experience will be credited to the crew according to the same rules as it is credited per battle:
a) If the checkbox for accelerated crew training is not enabled before the start of the battle (or is missing), then part of the experience goes to the crew, the rest is credited to the vehicle.
b) If the accelerated crew training checkbox is enabled, then all experience is distributed among the crew.
. Changed the conditions under which the bonus can be applied (all of the following must be met):
c) The last victorious battle on the selected vehicle.
d) This car is in the Angara (not sold, lease not completed, etc.)

On the Malinovka map, the detection point was balanced: trees were removed that interfered with reconnaissance from the positions of the northern team.

Wheel vehicle changes.

Engine mode settings have been optimized.
a) When switching driving modes, wheeled vehicles will no longer lose engine thrust. This is especially true when switching the driving mode from maneuverable to high-speed. With this shift, there will no longer be a deceleration before acceleration. Now, in such cases, the car will simply start to accelerate to a higher speed.
. When changing modes of movement of wheeled vehicles, the wheels now rise and fall more realistically.
. Motion physics settings have been optimized.
b) When wheeled vehicles collide with obstacles, in some cases it will become easier to regain control over the trajectory.
. Added the ability to switch the movement modes of wheeled vehicles during the pre-battle countdown. A similar feature will also become available for Swedish tank destroyers.

Interface changes.

Added the ability to disable the speedometer of wheeled vehicles through the settings of the game client. Movement mode indication is duplicated on the damage panel.
. Added the ability to enable / disable the auto-aim marker for all types of vehicles through the game client settings (via the marker settings tab). The autoaim marker can be turned on/off separately for the main and alternate marker modes. The setting is valid for all vehicles, including wheeled vehicles (that is, the auto-aim marker for wheeled vehicles can be disabled in the same way).

Update 9.21

The patch is prepared for the new 2018 and will be released on December 12, 2017. The Public Test will begin on November 16, 2017. Update 9.21 release dates for each of the stages are presented in this table.

All of November and the first half of December are reserved for the closed supertest of patch nine point twenty-one, two open tests (first and second), and the final launch of update 9.21 on Tuesday, December 12th.

Changes in update 9.21

Among the main changes is the addition of maps to World of Tanks after they have been finalized. We are talking about the following game locations:

  1. Kharkov;
  2. Provinces;
  3. Minsk.

Along with the release of patch 9.21, events leading up to the new year, such as the New Year's hangar, will appear in the game. The release will add to WOT the results of the developers' work on reworking tank models and maps in HD. The main change in update 9.20.1 was the replacement of the FV215b tank with the Super Conqueror. Patch 9.21 will also make changes to the vehicle development tree. This time the object 263 will be rearranged. We will describe the details below.

Vehicles in update 9.21

As for vehicles, the main innovation in update 9.21 will be an alternative tank destroyer branch in the USSR tank tech tree. All new equipment will be focused on two goals: assaulting enemy positions; damage absorption. Both targets make the second branch of the Soviet tank destroyers consisting of armored vehicles with high damage. The changes are aimed at improving melee combat.

Details of vehicle changes for Update 9.21 are below:

  • increased armor;
  • increased damage for all tank destroyers by 10%;

Important: One of the main changes in update 9.21 will be the transfer of object 263 to level 9.

British tank destroyers changed in update 9.21

In patch 9.21, the armor of the British tank destroyer will be completely changed. But everything will start with a grandiose replacement of the top British FV215b (183) with the FV217 Badger (badger). The level 10 vehicle swap will give a start to other equally significant edits. The reworking of anti-tank SPG armor in patch 9.21 is complex. Even the iconic Tortoise, with its legendary defense, has undergone a makeover. Now at level 9 there will be a completely new combat vehicle in terms of forehead and hull armor.

Lower-tier vehicles in the Britannia tank destroyer branch will receive modified reduced armor, as well as significantly improved screens. It will become more difficult to penetrate "British" shells in World of Tanks version 9.21. Armor changes are necessary due to the fact that British tank destroyers were knocked out of the general list of vehicles capable of withstanding shots from guns with previously increased power for some level 10 tanks.

All the rest are bullshit. Therefore, whoever wants to name his son after this game, at the same time can name his daughter after her: Tufta. Sorry to be rude, but that's the truth.

Top 10 city building games

"Pharaoh" has become an alternative branch of development of the popular series of city-building simulators "Caesar", which is also owned by "Impression Games". The essence of the game follows logically from the name: starting with a tiny settlement on the banks of the Nile, the player will gradually move from everyday problems to drink / feed the peasants to the creation of the capital of an ancient empire. The game also does not bypass the issue of building defense structures, which will reach the turn in one of the 38 missions. Later, the Cleopatra add-on was released, containing additional stages of the game.

A nice moment: the Egyptian theme of design can be traced in the menu and various game tools, so fans of old strategies and authenticity will be pleased. Although the game was launched in English in 1999, the Russian version was introduced only in 2004.

P.S. Over time, I had to give in to the set of surrounding reality and add the very successful Cities: Skylines, which was released in early 2015. Accordingly, "Pharaoh", which was in the tail according to the results of our survey, fell out of the TOP-10. But we won’t delete it: maybe, after a couple of months, Egypt’s loyal fans will be able to raise its rating in the voting? All in your hands.

10th place. Caesar III

Although Caesar IV is good, Caesar III is better: and the point is not that before, eternity was more solid, and the grass is greener. User polls and ratings of gaming publications in most cases inexorably praise the third part over the fourth. Of course, such recommendations should be heeded only if for you the gameplay is much more important than the graphics. Otherwise, it is better to pay attention to the fourth "Caesar 4".

The essence of the game is consistent with the name: the player will be able to see the glory of the great Roman Empire and contribute to its development. By building towns in different parts of the Empire and completing missions, you can get acquainted with the history of the Roman conquests and make a career from a simple clerk to Caesar.

Caesar III was released in 1998, and Caesar IV was released in 2006 - just 2 months after the release of CivCity: Rome, which was mentioned above. Nevertheless, Caesar was more to the liking of gamers, having won the coveted position from a competitor.

9th place. strong hold

Stronghold was good. In 2001, she was not only good, but a masterpiece. The castle siege mode immersed you in the exciting battles of the Middle Ages, allowing you to feel, if not Robin Hood, then at least Ivanhoe or Sir Nigel. But besides the combat, the economic part was adequately implemented in the game. The next game in the series, Stronghold Crusader, featured better multiplayer, new buildings and units, and slightly improved graphics. This helped her gain good fame.

Nevertheless, our rating is dedicated to city-building strategies - and there is no mistake here. Stronghold had a separate economic campaign in which you didn't have to fight (except with wolves and bandits). The player had to fully focus on the economic development of the settlement and solving various problems. There were no such campaigns in Stronghold Crusader, but the sandbox mode remained available, in which you could select one of the maps and try to build a city or a castle among the sands of the desert.

The economic part of the game is quite thought out and is not like any other strategy of the time: your actions directly affect the mood of the inhabitants. You can adjust the level of taxes and daily diet, try to make happy or intimidate your subjects. At the same time, if at some point they feel unhappy and they have no reason to stay, the city will quickly become empty.

8th place. CivCity: Rome

The creators of CivCity were inspired by the grandeur and beauty of the Roman Empire. Missions traditionally put the player in front of both economic and military tasks. You won't have to relax - fires and riots can bring a lot of trouble, and to provide your settlement with everything you need, you will have to seriously work on trade and communications.

The essence of this game is the development of one settlement from a miserable village to a majestic city. The housing of the townspeople is gradually improving, but for this you will have to fulfill various requirements. The military unit is present in the game, but in a primitive and simplified form, which cannot be called interesting. But the town-planning and economic part is quite entertaining, although it does not reach the level of the giants of this genre.

7th place. Banished


Release year: 2014

Initially, this game, like everything new, alarmed the old clumsy conservatives with outdated hardware and views. Therefore, her rating was underestimated, and the fans were offended. But over time, as Comrade Stalin bequeathed, life became better, life became more fun: Banished was recognized and glorified. Simply put, the update to this economic strategy ranking has moved this game up from 10th position to 7th.

In Banished, you will have to get food, take care of clothes, firewood for the winter and wait in horror for frosts - if you spend the winter, consider half the victory in your pocket. The developers promise a lot of thoughtful little things: workers can become exhausted and tired, animals can be completely exterminated as a result of hunting, and travelers from distant lands will bring not only an increase in population, but also overseas diseases.

6th place. city ​​life

The game was released in 2006, and over time has received a large variety of buildings thanks to several additions in 2008. It coolly implemented the interaction of social groups of different incomes: state employees, the poor, the intelligentsia, white and blue collars, as well as the elite. All of them are engaged in different activities and have different levels of income. Each group has its own likes and dislikes: for example, the elite will never get along with the poor. This will have to be taken into account during the settlement of the city in order to avoid social unrest.

The graphics are inferior to the same SimCity of 2007 (“City with character”), but the strength of the picture in City Life is a high level of detail. Many gaming publications have rated City Life around 7.5 out of 10.

5th place. Cities XL

Cities XL is the brainchild of the developers of the same City Life game. Although Cities XL is not its continuation, but the previous experience, of course, was taken into account. The game was released in 2009 and was recognized by the publication "Igromania" as the best representative of the urban genre of that year. All the basic canons set by SimCity were observed: housing, industry and shops are built up by sectors, the interface is also familiar and understandable.

Excited by the "City of Character" that Electronic Arts published in 2007, those gamers who coveted SimCity quickly switched to Cities XL—ironically, that game at the time was much more like SimCity than SimCity Societies. Therefore, for fans of Rush Hour, this game was the main consolation until 2013 (until SimCity was released in 2013).

4th place. Tropico 5

Tropico is a prime example of a game that gets better every time. Although both the third and fourth parts were rated quite highly, Tropico 5 managed to surpass its predecessors. Finally, the gameplay has become more interesting: now you can forget about the banal construction of a dozen enterprises, a school and the gradual earning of untold wealth. Indeed, in the fifth part, the player begins in times far from modern times - in front of him lies a colonial island, used exclusively as a springboard for countless plantations.

Initially, there is no social or educational sphere in principle - all this still needs to live and grow up. The governor of the island will have to earn the trust and favor of the inhabitants, so that they believe in their leader and want to declare independence. Income from enterprises in the new part is reduced by 3-4 times: this makes you seriously take up trade with other states.

Each era has its own peculiarities and novelties. The gameplay itself received many minor but useful improvements. For example, now rebellious residents can not only be bribed, intimidated or shot, but (who would have thought?), It turns out that you can ask what they want - and simply satisfy their demands. There is also a technology tree a la "Civilization" - now there is something to explore and improve. There was also a constitution that allows you to regulate military duty, religious issues, suffrage, and so on.

Ratings from popular gaming publications: 8 out of 10.

3rd place. Cities: Skylines

At the request of readers, and also obeying an elementary sense of justice, we had to update our rating to make room for the new 2015 Cities: Skylines. Despite the relatively recent release, it is already clear that this city-building strategy is a definite win.

Such evidence is based on the enthusiasm of various gaming publications that souls do not like in a new toy: high-quality graphics, friendly gameplay, the pleasure of creating your own city - it seems that all the obvious goodies that you expect to see in such a game have finally come together. In this case, there were no obvious jambs. Someone may blame the lack of a script, but this is far from a mandatory attribute of the genre.

Colossal Order, which developed it, originally aimed to kick off the genre's bigwigs like SimCity and Cities XL with a deft kick. It seems to be time to admit that they succeeded in many ways: Skylines captivates with well-balanced gameplay. Instead of having a real brainstorm to create a successful city, as in SimCity, in this game everything is somewhat simpler, in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, certain difficult challenges will still appear before the player, so the city-building simulator will definitely not get bored in an hour.

I won’t be surprised if in a few months our vote will raise Cities: Skylines to the first place in this TOP: we will see soon.

2nd place. Anno 2070/Anno 1404

Of course, such a rating could not do without ANNO: the only question is which version of the game was the most successful for the developers, Anno 1404 or Anno 2070? The names are not fraught with a special secret and are quite consistent with the years of the era in which you have to play: so everything is not for everybody.

Anno 1404 was recognized by Igromania as the best strategy of 2009, and the Venice add-on that was released later added not only new missions, but also multiplayer. It was intuitive, having passed a non-burdensome training, you could safely enjoy the gameplay, which was facilitated in every possible way by a user-friendly interface. Another important plus inherent in both games: the ability to play the game with the same pleasure several times.

Anno 2070 takes us to the future, where we have to act as a manager - all the main features of the game about colonial times have been transferred, and there have been some new features. True, in the future it is a little more difficult to understand than with the problems of the 15th century - if it was clear there what was necessary for the functioning of a particular building, or how to solve any problem, then in the future you will have to spend some time mastering and understanding the basic principles of the game.

Gambling gave both parts of the game 8.5 out of 10. To say that one game is clearly superior to the other would be unfair - it all depends solely on personal preferences and the era in which it is more interesting to equip cities and settlements.

1st place. SimCity 4: Rush Hour

No wonder the name Sim City has become a household name, sometimes used as a synonym for the concept of "city-building simulator." It is this game, which both old and young know about, that was given the branch of the championship of our rating. Although the series is sometimes forced to cave in under the onslaught of competitors, it still has not ceased to attract fans around the world: fans of the old school and, of course, will never remove SimCity 4: Rush Hour (2003) from the screw, and those who do not able to put up with unpretentious graphics, they prefer either "City with character" (2007), or, who has a more powerful PC, SimCity (2013).

It's worth noting that City of Character is nothing like the classic games in the series, and is undeniably simpler - although the Tourist Paradise expansion does present some challenges for the player. After experimenting with innovations in this part, SimCity lost the championship branch in the urban genre, losing to competitors.


What can not be taken away from the "City with character" is nice graphics

It is logical that in the next version of 2013, the developers decided to return to the roots, making a product for fans of the classic SimCity. However, at the moment, SimCity 4: Rush Hour is considered the pinnacle of the evolution of the series - the subsequent parts were not so warmly received by critics and admirers, being content with ratings of 6-7 out of 10.

The very first SimCity came out into the world back in 1989, when, frankly, not everyone knew about the existence of computers in our country. Despite the fact that not everyone recognizes even that game as the ancestor of the series - connoisseurs claim that the very first progenitor of Sim City was the Hamurabi game, which appeared on slot machines in 1968.

In any case, the first version of SimCity was accepted by the people with sincere love, for which it received adaptation for various consoles and OS, as well as a logical continuation that evolved over time in SimCity 4: Rush Hour - perhaps the only city-building strategy with elements of street racing 😉
