He swore his love for her, wanting to turn her into a slave for carnal pleasures. But she did not reciprocate his feelings, calling herself the bride of Christ.
Then he went to ask the sorcerer for help, promising to reward the magician with gold and silver. He promised to help. Cyprian sent both demons and the devil to Justina, but nothing worked. Justina frantically prayed to the Lord for help, and the Almighty protected his bride.

Throughout their lives, Justina and Cyprian experienced severe torment for not worshiping the idol. They were beaten, thrown into a vat of boiling oil, flogged, and kept in prison. But nothing could break faith in God and fiery love for him.
The Great Martyr Cyprian and Justina were executed, and their bodies were thrown into the street. The wanderers secretly took them to Rome and handed them over to a woman named Rufina. She buried the martyrs. And miraculous healings and miracles still occur at the graves.
