I tried the Vegasaur demo and then bought it, especially for the price. I already had another scripting extension and a lot of stand-alone scripts, but the extra functionality was worth it. For someone who doesn't have another scripting plug-in, Vegasaur would provide a lot of value for the money.

When we hear the word effects in a video, we usually immediately begin to imagine films with a lot of them. Action, fantasy and other films. But in fact, the effects in the Sony Vegas Pro program have a much more mundane role. It is this modest, but usually absolutely necessary, modest role of effects that we will talk about today.
Effects in the Sony Vegas Pro program are often used to correct video and give it a color tint. That is, perhaps your video was filmed in the dark. In this case, it needs to be lightened a little. Or perhaps the grass on your front lawn looks very pale and you want to change its color to bright green. Or maybe you want to give your video an antique look. Then, on the contrary, you need to reduce the color saturation. Well, now let's get down to business.
How to add effects to Sony Vegas Pro?
Let's first open our program and upload some file to the timeline.
Here you can see that I have circled in red in two places.
This is the button for adding effects in the Sony Vegas Pro program. One button to add video effects. Another button to add sound effects. At the moment, they are gray in color, which means they do not contain effects. Well, now, let's click on the video effect button, the one located above.
The window looks like this when we first add an effect. Here we can see a whole range of effects, or as they are otherwise called - presets, or simply plugins.
Now, let's select a preset called - Sony Brightness and Contrast. And click on the button – Add. Don't worry, you won't go to hell. Add translated from English - add.
At first glance, it seems that nothing happened. But take a closer look. You will see the differences.
In the upper left corner, our effect appears. On the right, under the Add button, the Remove... and Save As buttons have become active.
Well, now click the Ok button.
Now we will see changes. But there will be no changes in the viewing window. That is, the changes have not yet been applied to the file itself. We will also see that on the left side of the screen we have a window with sliders. Well, on the video itself, the effects button turned green. That is, we are given a signal that the file contains an effect. Even if the file itself has not changed.
Now, let's take a closer look at the window with the effect. But first, let's close the Trimmer window that is unnecessary for now by clicking the cross in the upper right corner of the Trimmer window.
Now the window with the effect will be visible. And let's immediately move the Brightness slider a little to the right.
In the preview window, we will see that our video has become lighter. In truth, in in this case, I wouldn't say it's gotten better. But remember that this effect can be added to dark videos. You can also experiment with the other two sliders until you get the effect you want.
Well, now let's compare all three options.
Here I have arranged them not in order, but so that the corrections are better visible. As you can see, in the latter case, the colors turned out to be bright and contrasting.

How to remove effects in Sony Vegas Pro?
Well, now, let's remove the effects we added. There are two ways to do this.
- Temporary shutdown.
- Remove the effect completely.
To temporarily disable it, you just need to uncheck the box for the effect that you want to temporarily remove. (In a large project, there are usually several effects).
For complete removal effect, you must highlight the effect. And click on the delete effect button.
