What does it mean to cry while making dua? What a blessing lies in the rain. When do Muslims gather for dhikr?

Spring is in full swing, which means that heavy rains await us, and in some places they are already falling with might and main. At this time, people usually try to quickly hide from the rain: someone takes cover under an umbrella, someone rather runs under the roof. And because of all this fuss, we forget that rain is actually a blessing from Allah. Do you know how to behave during rain according to the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)? And that when it rains our duas are accepted? In this short article we would like to tell our brothers and sisters how to behave during the rain and what duas are read at the same time.

How to behave during rain according to the Sunnah (Duas from the Sunnah that are read during the rain)

Mentioning rain in the Qur'an, Allah Ta'ala speaks of its dual purpose. In one verse He says:

“He (Allah) is the One Who sends the wind ahead of His mercy” [i.e. rain] (Surah Furqan, verse 48).

In another verse He says:

“And when they (the people of ‘Ad) saw a cloud spread (across the entire horizon) heading towards their valleys, they said: “This is the cloud that will rain on us.” (But the Prophet Hud told them): “No (this is not rain at all), this is the (punishment) with which you were in a hurry, a whirlwind [strong wind] - in it is a painful punishment” (Sura Ahkaf, 24).

Dual effect

Allah Ta'ala is in complete control of everything that exists. In the twinkling of an eye, He can turn favorable events into adversity and trouble into something good. He can make something good for some people and, conversely, harm other people with the help of the same thing.

An example of this is rain, the dual nature of which is spoken of in the above verses of the Koran, as well as one of the hadiths, which says that one day a companion asked the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to pray for rain during a Friday sermon. However, the next Friday, the same companion asked the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to turn to Allah to stop the rain, since it had been raining for a whole week, which was causing many difficulties (Sahih Bukhari).

Dua from the Sunnah, which is read during the rain

As a result of this dual nature rain The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is reported to have always worried when the wind rose (which was a sign of approaching rain). When asked about the reason for his concern, he replied:

“I am afraid that this may be a punishment for my ummah.”

He also read next dua at that time:

اَللهُم إني أسْألُكَ خيرَها وَخَيْرَ ما فِيها وَخيرَ ما أُرْسِلَتْ به، وَأعُودُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرها وَشر ما فيها وشر ما أُرْسِلَتْ به

Allahumma inni as-aluka hairaha wa haira ma fiha wa haira ma ursilyat bihi wa a'uzu bika min sharriha wa sarri ma fiha wa sharri ma ursilat bihi.

O Allah, I ask You for its (rain) goodness, for the goodness in it and for the goodness that it brings; and I resort to You from his evil, the evil that is in him and the evil that he brings.

After that, if the rain was calm, he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) felt such relief that he went out into the rain, tore off his chest (or other parts of his body) to receive the blessing that the raindrops carried. When asked about the reason for this, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Verily, this rain has just come from my Lord” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2080).

Next dua Prophet(sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) also said during the rain:

اللهم صَيبًا نافِعا

Allahumma soyiban nafi'an

Oh Allah may this rain bring goodness. (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 1032)

During a heavy downpour, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

اللهم حَوَالَيْنا ولا عَلَيْنا

Allahumma hawalayna wa la 'alaina

O Allah, let it rain (fall) around us, but not on us. (Sahih Bukhari, hadith 1013, Sahih Muslim, hadith 2076)

And if thunder rumbled, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

اللهم لا تَقْتُلْنا بِغَضَبِك وَلا تُهْلِكْنا بِعدابِك وعافِنا قَبْلَ دلِك

Allahumma la taktulna bi gadabik wa la tuhlikna bi ‘azabik wa ‘afina kablya zalik.

O Allah, do not strike us with Your wrath and do not destroy us with Your punishment. Save us from Your punishment. (Sunan Tirmidhi, hadith 3450, Musnad Ahmad, hadith 5763 and Al-Adabul Mufrad, hadith 742)

This hadith was considered authentic (sahih) by the following scholars: imams Hakim, Zahabi (see Mustadrak, vol. 2, p. 286), as well as Hafiz Ibn Hajar and Allama Jazri (see Al-Futukhatu r-Rabbaniyya, vol. 4, p.284).

After the rain stops you should say:

مُطِرْنا بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَرَحْمَتِه

Mutyrna bifadli-llahi va rahmatihi.

The rain showered the mercy and grace of Allah on us (Sahih Bukhari, hadith 846/1048 and Sahih Muslim, hadith 71)

These are just a few duas from the Sunnah that can be recited during rain.

When it rains, duas are accepted!

It is known from hadiths that duas are accepted during rain: see Sunnan Abu Dawud, hadith 2533; Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 2, p. 114, hadith 2535. This hadith was assessed as sahih by such imams as Hakim, Zahabi and al-Shaukani, see Tufat az-Zakirin, p. 69. Also see Imam Nawawi's Al-Adhkar.

In some Muslim countries people are so mindful of this that when it rains, you can see many people standing and making dua wherever they are.

In the languages of many Muslim peoples, including Tatar, there is such a word - dua. This word means “supplication”, “appeal to God”. Dua is one of the greatest rites of worship. Many Muslims do not give it due importance and forget about it, although dua is the strongest connection between a person and his Creator.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, Who ordered us to turn to Him with prayers and promised that He would answer us. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, and He has no partners.

O people, fear Allah Almighty and know that supplication (dua) is one of greatest species worship of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Supplication to Allah is worship.”

Let's list some distinctive features and virtues of dua:

First, Allah commands us to call upon Him. The Almighty said: “ Your Lord said: Call upon Me and I will answer you"(The Forgiving, 40:60).

Secondly, dua is worship, and therefore a person should turn only to Allah with his prayers. If he asks from something other than Allah (for example, from graves, the dead, images of “saints”, forces of nature, and so on), then he commits an unforgivable sin - shirk polytheism. It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “ Dua is worship"(Abu Daoud).

Thirdly, through dua, Allah relieves a person from troubles. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Prayer brings benefit in what has befallen and in what can be comprehended. So make a supplication to Allah, O people of Allah!” (Tirmidhi).

Fourthly, Allah always helps those who call on Him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) reported the words of the Almighty: “ I am close to the person's thought about me. And I am with him when he mentions Me"(Muslim).

IN dua man shows Allah his submission and helplessness, thereby recognizing his slavery before Him. He completely, with all his heart, trusts in Allah and in no one else, along with Him. If a person does not receive in this life what he asked from Allah, then a reward is written down for him, which accumulates for him until the Day of Judgment. There it will bring more benefit to a person than here.

Rules on how to make dua

It is necessary to remember the rules of supplication to Allah:

1. A person must be convinced that Allah will answer his request.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When one of you turns to Allah with a request, let him be purposeful and not say: “Lord! Forgive me if you want, have mercy on me if you want, give it to me if you want.” Because nothing can force Allah to act against His own will” (Bukhari).

2. A person should ask Allah with all his heart and not be careless during dua.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Make dua, being sure of the answer, and know that Allah does not answer dua of that“whose heart is careless and idle” (Tirmidhi).

3. We must always ask Allah, no matter what the circumstances.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “ Whoever wants Allah to answer him in troubles, let him pray more often in prosperity"(Tirmidhi).

Observe during dua following rules:

* turn your face towards the Kaaba;

* perform ablution before this (taharat);

* raise your hands to the top;

* begin the prayer with words of praise to the Lord and glorification of His name;

* then ask for blessings and peace for Muhammad, the servant of Allah and His messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him);

* after this, sincerely turn to Allah with a prayer, asking for what you want with persistence, hope and fear;

* affirm pure monotheism in your words;

*give alms to those in need before performing the prayer,

We must try to ask Allah during those periods when dua is more often accepted.

During what periods of time is it better to accept dua:

On the night of predestination,

In the dead of night

At the end of the obligatory prayers,

Between adhan and iqama,

During prostration,

IN last hour Friday (before sunset).

Also, dua is better accepted from a fasting traveler, as well as from parents.

Beware of things that block the path of prayer.

Sometimes a person’s prayer remains unanswered, and the reason for this turns out to be himself. Here are some of the things that can hinder people's prayers:

1. The first reason is when a person expects a quick answer to his dua.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A person’s prayer will always be answered, unless he prays for committing an atrocity or breaking blood ties, and unless he rushes things.” He was asked: “O Prophet! What does it mean to rush things?” He replied: “This is when a person says: “I prayed to Allah many times, but did not receive an answer!” and then he despairs and stops asking Allah” (Muslim).

Islamic scholars have said: “Supplication (dua) is one of the most important means, both to protect against troubles and to achieve set goals, however, the result of prayer is sometimes delayed. This happens by following reasons:

* or due to the defectiveness of the very content of the prayer, for example, if the prayer contains something that Allah does not like: enmity and sin;

* or due to mental weakness and lack of concentration in the praying person and the awareness that during prayer he communicates with Allah. Such a person is like an old war bow, and the arrow flies out of him very poorly;

* or due to any interference that prevents the acceptance of prayer, such as: eating forbidden food; sins that cover the hearts like rust, as well as negligence, carelessness and love of fun, which take possession of the human soul and suppress it.”

2. Lack of monotheism during prayer.

Allah speaks in Holy Quran: « So call upon Allah, purifying your faith before Him."(Quran 40:14). " Do not call on anyone besides Allah"(Quran 72:18).

Some people turn their prayers to someone other than Allah: idols, graves, mausoleums, saints and righteous people. Such prayers are incorrect because they lack monotheism.

Also incorrect are the prayers of those people who consider dead people to be intermediaries between themselves and God. These people, turning to Allah, say: “We ask You in the name of such and such a righteous person or by the authority of such and such a saint...”. These people will not have their prayers accepted because they are contrary to Shariah and have nothing to do with Islam. Allah has not legitimized for us to make supplications to Him through any saints or through their worthy position. Moreover, the Almighty repeatedly orders us to contact Him directly, without any intermediaries. Allah says in His Book: “ If My servants ask you about Me, then I am close and answer the call of the one praying when he calls on Me."(Quran 2: 186).

3. A person’s careless attitude towards his religious duties, which are prescribed to us by Allah Himself, and the commission of sins.

Man entering In a similar way, moves away from Allah and breaks the connection with his Lord. He deserves to get into trouble and not have his pleas for relief from his suffering answered. One of the hadiths reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “ Remember Allah when you are in prosperity, and He will remember you when you are in trouble.».

Anyone who builds his relationship with God on the basis of piety and obedience, at a time when everything is good in his life, Allah will treat such a person with tenderness and care when he finds himself in difficult circumstances. The Almighty spoke about Yunus (peace be upon him), who was swallowed giant fish: “If he had not been one of those who glorify Allah, he would certainly have remained in her womb until the day when they were resurrected” (Quran 47:143-144).

That is: if he had not had many righteous deeds before he committed the crime, then the belly of the fish would have become a grave for him, right up to the Day of Judgment.

Some scholars said: “Remember Allah in prosperity, and He will remember you in hardship; indeed, Prophet Yunus remembered Allah a lot, and when he found himself in the belly of a fish, Allah Almighty said: “If he had not been one of those who glorify Allah, then would certainly remain in her womb until the day when they are resurrected.” Pharaoh, unlike Yunus, was a tyrant who forgot about Allah. “When Pharaoh began to drown, he said: “I believed that there is no true deity except the One in whom the children of Israel believed. I became one of the Muslims." Allah said: " Only now you are saying this! But before, you disobeyed and were one of the spreaders of wickedness"(Quran 10: 90-91).

4. If a person’s food is sinful.

For example, his income comes from usury, bribes, theft, appropriation of the property of other people (especially orphans), treacherous attitude towards the property of people, hired workers, deception of trust. IN authentic hadith says: " Make your food good and your prayers will be accepted».

Abdullah, the son of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, in the book “az-Zuhd” cited the following legend: “Once a disaster befell the sons of Israel, then they left the settlement (to pray together to Allah for deliverance). Then Allah (Great and Glorified is He) gave a revelation to their prophet: “Inform them: “You go out into the field, and your bodies are desecrated, you stretch out your hands to Me, and you yourself shed blood with them, filling your houses with forbidden property. And now, when My anger has flared up against you, you are only moving further away from Me.”

Take this into account for yourself. Take a look at how you earn money, what you eat and drink, and what you fuel your bodies with. All this is important so that your prayers and requests addressed to Allah are accepted by Him.

5. If a person stops calling for good and restraining from evil.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I swear by Allah, you must encourage what is good and keep you from doing what is blameworthy, otherwise Allah will not hesitate to punish you, after which you will ask Him, but He will not answer you” (Ahmad ).

When Ibrahim ibn Adham was asked: “Why do our duas remain unanswered?”, he answered them: “Because you recognized Allah, but did not obey Him, you recognized the Messenger, but did not follow his path, you recognized the Quran, but do not act according to it.” laws, you use the mercies of Allah, but do not thank Him for it, you have known Paradise, but do not strive for it, you have known Hell, but do not fear it, you have known Shaitan, but do not be at enmity with him, but agree with him; you have known death, but do not prepare for it, bury your dead, but do not learn a lesson from it, have forgotten about your shortcomings and are busy with the shortcomings of other people.”

Turn to Allah more often with prayers for yourself and for your loved ones. Remember that the prayer of the oppressed is accepted; beware of oppressing anyone, trampling on someone’s rights and acting unfairly. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Beware of the prayer of the oppressed, because there is no barrier between it and Allah.”

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and blessings be upon His Messenger Muhammad, as well as his family and all his companions.

You pray and ask the Almighty to grant you something or to take away something harmful from you. But no matter how hard you cry to the Almighty, your duas remain unanswered, and you do not understand the reason. What are you doing wrong? Why doesn't Allah answer your prayers?

Firstly, the Almighty hears and sees everything, knows your every desire and aspiration.

The Almighty said: “If My servants ask you about Me, then I am close and answer the call of the one who prays when he calls on Me. Let them answer Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will follow the right path.” (2:186).

Secondly, in order for the Almighty to answer our cries, as stated in the verse, we need faith in Him, strong iman and sincerity in the request.

According to the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), when a mu'min makes dua to Allah, the following happens:

  1. His dua is accepted and he gets what he wanted.
  1. He will receive a reward for his dua'a future life, but not in this world.
  1. He is saving himself from losses that could have happened in his life, but he did not know about it.

The reasons why a believer’s prayers remain unanswered may be the following:

  1. Ask but do nothing in return

The Almighty said that He answers the prayers of those who ask, and they, in turn, must answer Him and believe in Him. A person wants the Almighty to give him something, but does not give anything in return. The Almighty does not need anything, but how can we ask to bestow good things if we ourselves do not strive for good things and do not do good things ourselves?

Consequently, duas are not accepted if we do not strive for the Almighty - we do not read prayer regularly, do not fast in Ramadan, and do not pay zakat. The punishment for neglecting the instructions of the Almighty can be non-acceptance of our duas.

  1. Impatience

Patience is the main quality of a believer, and it should be manifested in every area of his life. A person asks the Almighty, but it does not happen at the moment when a person wants it, and becomes impatient. He despairs and gives up. Stops asking the Almighty and loses hope in Allah's mercy. Thus, impatience leads the believer into a great sin - despair for the mercy of Allah.

The hadith says: “The slave’s prayers continue to be answered until he asks for something sinful or breaks family ties, and until he becomes impatient.” When the Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked: “How does a person become impatient, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, "He says, 'I prayed, I prayed, and still I received no answer.'

Man's knowledge is very limited. Allah knows about every thing, future, past and present. Allah knows when it is better to send down this or that thing to a person, and this is the best warrant for the person himself. Perhaps the Almighty does not send what we ask for right now, since it will bring us harm. Perhaps He is testing us with patience, and in return He will reward us with even more. Therefore, impatience will lead a person to deprivation.

  1. The petition of the sinful

Prayer is a connection between a believer and the Almighty, making him closer to the Creator, therefore it should be aimed only at good. Prayer for asking for sinful and forbidden things and for what sin will bring to a person will not be accepted, since it will harm the person.

  1. Not to believe while making dua

If a person prays, but does not imagine a way to obtain what he asks for, it turns out that he does not believe in the power and strength of the Almighty, to whom every thing is subject. Just because a person does not believe that it can happen, it does not mean that Allah cannot accomplish it.

Don't you know that Allah:

  • Al-Aziz - Almighty;
  • Al-Samad is the head of all things;
  • Al-Qadir - has power over every thing.

Do not make dua with half your heart, be confident and firm in your faith in the mercy of Allah.

“Let none of you say: “O Allah, forgive me if you wish!” O Allah, grant me your mercy if you wish! Let the one who prays be resolute in his request and persistent in his desire. Verily, no one can force Allah to do anything.”

  1. Committing sins

The hadith says: “O people! Verily, Allah is Good and He does not accept anything except what is good. And, verily, Allah commanded the believers the same as He commanded the messengers, and the Almighty said: “O messengers! Eat good things and do righteous deeds." . (23:51). The Almighty also said: “O you who believe! Eat of the good things We have provided for you...” (2:172). And then the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, mentioned a man covered with dust with disheveled hair, who has been on the road for a long time and raises his hands to the sky (repeating): “O Lord, O Lord!”, However, his food is forbidden, and his drink is forbidden, and his clothing is forbidden, and his feeding was forbidden, so how can an answer be given to him?”

All nations have developed their own magic tools. Some of them rely on religious traditions. Let's discuss what a dua for fulfillment of desires is and how to use it. Can everyone read Does Islam help the Orthodox? Dua for the fulfillment of desires is based on the Muslim worldview, can representatives of another religion apply to it?

What is a dua for fulfillment of desires?

In fact, that's what it's called special prayer, to which the believer turns to Allah. Dua for fulfillment of desires is written in the Koran. It is called briefly Salavat. It is, of course, not forbidden for anyone to read it, like any prayer. But there are certain restrictions imposed by religion itself on the one who turns to Holy book Muslims According to tradition, Allah helps those who are completely devoted to him. There is much more obedience and respect in Islam than in any other religion. When a dua is read to fulfill desires, it is unacceptable to “dictate” your will higher powers. Prayer in Islam is a humble request to the Almighty for mercy. This is different from other religions. From childhood, Muslims are brought up in a different worldview paradigm. Everything in the world happens according to the will of Allah, they believe. And his decisions should be accepted with gratitude and respect. Whatever a person wants, he will only get what the Almighty gives him. Therefore, dua is pronounced with a sense of predetermination of events. A believer cannot protest or insist (mentally) on the desired result. This is the philosophical difference between dua and Christian prayer.

Text

Many people face the same important issue when they want to cast a spell in a Muslim way. The fact is that the dua must be read in the language of writing, that is, in Arabic. Otherwise nothing will work. Believers master this language, learn to read correctly and understand the meaning of words. U ordinary person there are no such skills. What to do? You can, of course, read the prayer written in Cyrillic. It is as follows: “Inaa lil-lyahihi wa inaa ilyayahi raadjiiuun, allaahuumma indayakya ahtasibu musyybaatii fajuurni fiihe, wa abdiilnii biihee hairan minhe.” One thing is bad, you won’t understand anything. Therefore, it is also recommended to keep the translation in mind. It is as follows: “I truly praise the Lord of the worlds alone - Allah. I ask You, most merciful, to bring the effectiveness of Your forgiveness closer to me. Protect from sins, guide along the path of righteousness. Please, show me the mistakes so that I can avoid them with Your grace. Get rid of all sins, needs and worries. May there be nothing in life that You do not consider right for me, Most Gracious Allah! This is very strong dua to fulfill a wish.

All the possibilities are in your soul

It is important to understand that you should only pray when you fully share the Muslim worldview. Tricks won't help here. Since they decided to ask for Allah’s help, therefore, they agree with any of his decisions regarding their fate and further developments. But no one guarantees the result. Ask any Muslim about this. A believer may not even understand the question. In his view, not a single person has the right to resist the will of the Almighty. That is, you should ask your soul whether you agree with this formulation of the question? If yes, then read the following recommendations. They apply only to representatives of other religious groups.

How to use dua

To fulfill wishes in Islam, it is still customary to pray in Arabic. And there is also a rule: older members of the clan help the younger ones. In general, Muslims are great collectivists. Dua read by the community works faster and better. In any case, this is how they pray over the sick. And to remove the damage, older women from all over the area gather. At night they read suras over the sufferer. Therefore, it is recommended to find yourself a Muslim teacher. First, in the process of communication, become imbued with the philosophy of this religion. Secondly, this person will help you speak words correctly and tell you how and what to do. Description alone is not enough to achieve effect. In addition, the prayer should be written down. In Islam great importance give Arabic words. Surahs are depicted on souvenirs and written on expensive fabric. If you buy one and hang it at home, it will work as a talisman or talisman.

The most powerful dua for fulfillment of desires

No matter how much you give to a person, it is not enough for him. People are wondering how to pray so that their wishes come true. There are many suras in the Koran. Read everything in order. Start with the first one. It is called “Prayer to the Almighty.” Then refer to the above dua. Next is necessarily suras 112 and 113. They protect from evil that comes from outside and is inside. However, it is not at all necessary to resort to such difficulties. If there is faith in the heart, blind and genuine, then one prayer is enough. Forget about the result, like a child does. Express your intention and wait for what will happen with sincere delight. Imams say that this is how all dreams come true. It's not about the number of surahs read, but about trust in the Almighty.

Conclusion

We have not touched upon whether there are any rules regarding the desires themselves. In fact, Muslims ask the Almighty for the same thing that representatives of other religions strive for. We all need prosperity, prosperity, happiness. It is advisable to ask for common things that are valuable to every person on earth. But the specific ones material desires It's better to implement it yourself. If you wish new gadget, earn and buy. Why turn to Allah with such trifles? How do you think?

Trials, difficulties and obstacles are an integral part of our lives. Allah sends down difficulties, and along with them, the remedy for them is dua. We call on Allah for help, support and His mercy when we need it. And we always need His help.

Allah is the Most High and Almighty, answering the prayers of those in need and the cries of those who raise their hands in dua. The hadith says: “Indeed, Allah is ashamed to return the hands of His slave with nothing when he raises them (in dua).”

Allah promised to answer the calls of his slaves:

“Call to Me and I will answer you. Verily, those who exalt themselves above the worship of Me will enter Gehenna humiliated."

“If My servants ask you about Me, then I am close and answer the call of the one who prays when he calls on Me. Let them answer Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will follow the right path.”

“Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret. Truly, He does not love criminals. Do not spread wickedness on the earth after it has been put in order. Call upon Him with fear and hope. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is close to those who do good” (7:55-56).

Hadiths about dua:

“Dua is the weapon of the believer, the support of religion and the light of heaven and earth.”
