"Confusion"
The kittens meowed:
“We're tired of meowing!
We want, like piglets,
Grunt!"

And behind them are the ducklings:
“We don’t want to quack anymore!
We want, like little frogs,
Croak!"

The pigs meowed:
Meow meow!

The cats grunted:
Oink oink oink!

The ducks croaked:
Kwa, kwa, kwa!

The chickens quacked:
Quack, quack, quack!

Little Sparrow galloped
And the cow mooed:
Mooo!

A bear came running
And let's roar:
Ku-ka-re-ku!

Just a little bunny
There was a good boy:
Didn't meow
And he didn’t grunt - he lay under the cabbage,
Babbled like a hare
And foolish animals
Persuaded:

“Whoever is told to tweet - Don’t purr!
Those who are told to purr - Don't tweet!
The crow should not be like a cow,
Don’t let the little frogs fly under the cloud!”

But funny animals - piglets, bear cubs - are more naughty than before,
They don't want to listen to the hare.
Fishes are walking across the field,
Toads fly across the sky

The mice caught the cat
They put me in a mousetrap.

And the chanterelles
We took matches
Let's go to the blue sea,
The blue sea was lit.

The sea is on fire,
A whale ran out of the sea:
“Hey firefighters, run!
Help, help!

Long, long time crocodile
The blue sea was extinguished
Pies and pancakes,
And dried mushrooms.

Two little chickens came running,
Watered from a barrel.

Two ruffs swam
Watered from a ladle.

The little frogs came running,
They watered from the tub.

They stew, they stew, they don’t put out,
They fill it up - they don’t fill it up.

Then a butterfly flew in,
She waved her wings,
The sea began to go out - And it went out.

The animals were happy!
They laughed and sang,
Ears flapped
They stamped their feet.

The geese have started again
Shout like a goose:
Ha-ha-ha!

The cats purred:
Mur-mur-mur!

The birds chirped:
Tick-tweet!

The horses neighed:
Eeyore!

The flies buzzed:
Wow!

The little frogs croak:
Kwa-kwa-kwa!

And the ducklings quack:
Quack-quack-quack!

The piglets grunt:
Oink oink oink!

Murochka is being lulled to sleep
My dear:
Baiushki bye!
Baiushki bye!

The kittens meowed:
“We're tired of meowing!
We want, like piglets,
Grunt!"

And behind them are the ducklings:

Analysis of the poem “Confusion” by Chukovsky

Korney Chukovsky is a talented children's writer, on whose fairy tales and poems more than one generation of children has grown up. His main task Korney Yakovlevich considered the development of humanity in a child, the ability to empathize and share joy, anxiety and grief. In a playful and relaxed manner, the author leads the little reader to understand the essence of the phenomena: why it is important to follow the rules, why hygiene is needed, how to behave in society.

The poem “Confusion” was written for his beloved daughter and is a “reversal” fairy tale. In addition to the personification of objects and animals, something unusual suddenly happens in the plot, destroying the usual picture of the world. For logical adults, this form is often incomprehensible and unacceptable, but a child’s thought works differently. The child does not focus on specific fact“the ducks started croaking”, but on the action in general. In addition, critical thinking and the ability to defend one’s point of view, “I know that cats meow, not grunt,” develop.

“Confusion” uses many verbs, this sets the pace of the poem, holds the child’s attention and intrigues. The growing protest of the animals is gaining momentum and results in tragedy - the sea caught fire. The figure of the hare, who “was a good boy: did not meow or grunt...” is contrasted with the general rebellion. This is a clear example for the child that you should not follow the lead of the majority, but it is important to defend your position if you are sure that it is right.

Going beyond the boundaries of permitted behavior will end badly - this is the main moral of the work. The animals extinguish the fire in the sea together, each making a small contribution. When the trouble is over, everyone starts dancing and shouting again in their own voices - always on the pages of Chukov’s fairy tales happy ending. A child cannot help but be happy for his favorite characters who have overcome difficulties and learned a wise lesson. The author draws a parallel between actions and their consequences, and the unobtrusive and easy presentation makes you think better than long moralizing lectures.

Works by K.Ya. Chukovsky’s works are rightfully recognized as the standard of children’s literature; they are permeated with feelings and emotions that make the reader happy, sad and experience along with the characters of the fairy tale. The writer once said that he spent more than fifteen years watching babies before he began writing for children. It is precisely for the spontaneity, honesty and kindness that children and adults like the books of Korney Yakovlevich so much.

A wonderful fairy tale about animals in which everything is mixed up. Our children are introduced to this work in kindergarten. It would be great if you read it yourself with your children. Children love everything unusual and funny. They can easily figure out what's what. The page contains pictures (our good Soviet illustrations, by the way, if you click on them, they will enlarge) and the history of the creation of the fairy tale.
