Shortly before November, Rosobrnadzor presented an official draft schedule, which clearly states the dates of the OGE and GIA tests planned for 2019.
This document has not yet been approved, but most likely, the final version of the schedule for final exams for the 2018-2019 academic year will not receive fundamental changes, as well as the format of the State Final Certification itself.
Dates for the final essay (grade 11) in the 2018-2019 academic year
The final essay (presentation) is the first test for graduates of the 11th grade, which is a kind of admission to the rest Unified State Exam subjects. Although the December essay is graded on a pass/fail basis, its importance should not be underestimated. Students who are unable to cope with the first test will not be allowed to take the remaining exams, which automatically delays the opportunity to receive a document on education and admission to a university for at least 1 year.
Important! Most Russian schoolchildren will write a final essay in December 2018. But, for 11th graders who have certain health problems (confirmed medical commission), will be able to pass the test in presentation format.
In 2018-2019 academic year graduates will immediately receive 3 attempts to pass admission to the State Examination Academy, because the draft schedule assumes, in addition to the main date, two extra days. These reserve dates are reserved not only for those. Who will need a retake (in case of an unsatisfactory result), and also for those guys who good reason will not be able to write an essay in December.
The final essay will be written:
*According to the project production calendar in May we are promised a long weekend, but May 8 is a working day between two rest periods.
Final interview dates (grade 9) 2018-2019
The oral part of the Russian language exam has been successfully tested and this year the interview will be mandatory for all regions of Russia.
The proposed draft schedule suggests that 9th grade graduates will undergo mandatory oral interview as admission to the main exams of the OGE 2019 in February and will also receive 2 additional attempts.
Unified State Exam calendar for 2019 (grade 11)
No fundamental changes are expected in the format of the Unified State Exam 2019, and even the draft schedule of the State Examination 2019, which was submitted to the commission by Rosobrnadzor, is not very different from last year’s calendar. As before, three main periods are assumed:
- early(from 03/20/19 to 04/10/19);
- basic(from 05/27/19 to 07/01/19);
- September retakes(from 09/03/19 to 09/21/19).
Early period
In the 2018-2019 academic year, graduates of 2018 and 2017 who did not pass will have the opportunity to take final exams early compulsory subjects upon graduation, as well as 11th grade students of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, who have a good reason for this (naturally, documented).
For the early period of the 2018-2019 academic year, the draft GIA schedule proposed by Rosobrnadzor allocates the following days:
Main period
The vast majority of graduates will take the 2019 final exams in the main period. You need to focus on the dates given in the first block of the table, since on reserve days only those who cannot attend the main session for a good reason will take the Unified State Exam.
Retake the Unified State Exam in September
The September retakes for those who cannot overcome the passing threshold in compulsory subjects will be the last chance to receive a certificate in 2019. Only compulsory subjects will be allowed to be retaken, provided that an unsatisfactory result is obtained in no more than 2 disciplines.
Important! If in the main session you selected profile exam in mathematics, then in September you can try to cope with the basic version. This may not be enough to enroll in a university, but you can still get a diploma this year.
Rosobrnadzor suggests retaking the Unified State Exam in September on the following days:
The result of the re-examination in the Russian language will be available on September 16, in basic level mathematics - on September 17, and in specialized mathematics– October 1, 2019.
OGE calendar for 2019 (grade 9)
Rosobrnadzor claims that 9th grade graduates, as well as their parents and teachers, can be guided by the dates set by the preliminary draft schedule for the 2019 OGE. As for the Unified State Exam, ninth-graders will be allocated 3 periods:
- early(from 04/22/19 to 05/10/19);
- basic(from 05/25/19 to 07/03/19);
- September(from 09/03/19 to 09/21/19).
Early period
The right to pass tests before anyone else (in early period), are received by ninth-graders of the 2018-2019 academic year who, for good reason, will not be able to take part in the main session of the OGE, as well as graduates of previous years who did not overcome the minimum threshold in any subjects last year.
Main period
The draft schedule submitted for approval sets the following dates for the main period of the OGE in 2019:
Autumn retake
Unlike graduates of the 11th grade, who in 2019 will be allowed to retake only compulsory subjects in September, ninth graders get another chance to overcome the passing threshold in all subjects of the Compulsory State Exam.
The retake schedule for 9th grade in September 2019 will be as follows:
We recommend that you clarify once again when the exams you are interested in will be held in 2019 after the submitted draft State Examination Schedule has been officially approved. The final version of the calendar should be published before the beginning of December 2018.
We also suggest watching a video of the meeting between the head of Rosbornadzor and parents (September 2018):
The school year has already begun, which means that the time has come for students in grades 9 and 11 to think seriously about the upcoming exams. After the serious innovations that last year’s graduates had to face, teachers and future applicants are trying not to miss important news about the upcoming OGE and State Examination. Rosobrnadzor has already presented a draft schedule Unified State Examinations and OGE for 2018 and we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the most likely test schedule for students in grades 9 and 11.
The final essay is the first test for graduates who dream of successfully entering a university on a budget-funded form of education. As with the main GIA subjects, in 2018 students will have the opportunity to retake the essay if the first attempt is unsuccessful, because Rosobrnadzor included three official dates in the draft schedule:
- December 6, 2017;
- February 7, 2018;
- May 16, 2018
Particular attention should be paid to preparing for those who plan to enter humanitarian specialties and take the subject “Literature”. You can read more about what innovations are possible, how the exam will be held and how to properly prepare for it, in the materials on our website.

Chemistry
In the work of 2016, compared to 2015, the following changes were adopted. 1. In Part 1 of the work, the format of six tasks of a basic level of complexity with a short answer has been changed. These are the following tasks: − No. 6, its implementation involves the use of generalized knowledge about classification and nomenclature Not organic matter. The result of completing the task is to identify three correct answers out of six proposed options; − No. 11 and No. 18, their implementation involves the use of generalized knowledge about the genetic relationship of inorganic and organic substances. The result of completing the tasks is to identify two correct answers out of five proposed options. − No. 24, No. 25 and No. 26, the answer to these tasks is a number with a given degree of accuracy (instead of the number of the correct answer in the 2015 work). Also in part 1 of the work, the format of two tasks of an increased level of complexity has been changed - No. 34 and No. 35, which test the assimilation of knowledge of characteristic chemical properties hydrocarbons and oxygen-containing organic compounds. In the 2016 paper, these tasks are presented in the format of matching tasks (in the 2015 paper these were multiple choice tasks). 2. Based on analysis Unified State Exam results In 2015, an adjustment was made regarding the distribution of tasks by level of complexity and types of skills and methods of activity being tested. Thus, in particular, the expediency of checking the assimilation of the content element “ Chemical equilibrium; shift of equilibrium under the influence of various factors” only with tasks of an increased level of complexity. At the same time, mastering knowledge of the characteristic chemical properties of nitrogen-containing organic compounds and biologically important substances is only at a basic level.
Spanish, German, French, English:
The wording of task 3 of the oral part of the exam has been clarified.
Social science
The structure of the examination work has been optimized: – the logic of the structure of part 1 has been brought into line with the logic of part 2: tasks are focused on testing certain skills (requirements for the level of graduates’ training) on various content elements; – from Part 1 of the work, tasks with a short answer in the form of one number corresponding to the number of the correct answer are excluded; as a result of task regrouping various types the total number of tasks in part 1 was reduced by 7 tasks. As a result, the total number of work tasks was reduced by 7 tasks (29 instead of 36).
The maximum primary score for completing all work has not changed (62).
Physics
The structure of the Unified State Exam KIM in 2016 was left unchanged. For task lines 2–5, 8–10 and 11–16, the range of controlled content elements has been expanded.
Computer science
The 2016 CMM model has changed slightly compared to the 2015 CMM. The sequence of presentation of tasks 1–5 was changed. The number of tasks and the maximum primary score remained unchanged.
