Its main theme this year will be "Ten Moments of Victory" - ten battles, ten songs, thanks to which we keep the memory of the Great Patriotic War. Also in the period from May 2 to 9 along the colonnade of the Kazan Cathedral, a photo exhibition "The Link of Times" by Sergei Larenkov was organized. Everyone of any age will be able to take part in the action - from small children with their parents to veterans who decided to remember their former youth and honor the memory of their wartime comrades with a song.
Victory Day in the Peter and Paul Fortress
From 9.00 to 22.00 all Petersburgers and guests of our city will be able to visit the exhibition historical technology, see the reconstruction of artillery positions and dugouts. Battle flags will also be displayed in the Peter and Paul Fortress, and thematic exhibitions will talk about the activities of the Leningrad police during the Great Patriotic War and during the blockade.
"Singing Fountains" on Moscow Square and at the Finland Station
From 12.00. It is on Victory Day in St. Petersburg that light and music complexes will begin to operate on the fountains of Moscow Square and on Lenin Square near the Finland Station. They will be solemnly launched on May 9, and they will delight the townspeople throughout the summer. A colorful show can be watched three times a day starting at 12.00. The duration of each light and music episode will be 20 minutes. The performance will be accompanied by sound classical music, and jets of water, colored with hundreds of lights, will rise up in time with it. "Spring of Victory" on Elagin Island
At 14.00 the festive program will begin at the Central Park of Culture and Culture at the memorial sign for minesweepers and will open with a solemn rally "Memory Watch". Every year on May 9, veterans of the Baltic Fleet minesweeping brigades, their relatives and friends, as well as young cadets of naval schools and ordinary citizens gather at the stele "To the minesweepers". Construction will begin on Staro-Nevsky Prospekt - on the section from Suvorovsky Prospekt to Alexander Nevsky Square.
Please note that the exits from the Ploshchad Vosstaniya and Mayakovskaya metro stations will be blocked during the construction of the Immortal Regiment, so in order to take part in the action, you will need to get to the Ploshchad Aleksandra Nevskogo metro station, since the filling of the column it is meant from there and, as far as possible, along the side streets (Mytninskaya, Degtyarnaya, Kharkovskaya, Executive Committee and Poltava). Exactly at 15.00 "Immortal Regiment" will move along Nevsky Prospekt towards Palace Square.
"RioRita - the joy of Victory" in the Ekateringof park
From 18.00 to 21.00 everyone is invited to Yekateringof Park near the Narvskaya metro station, which, as part of the federal art project RioRita - the Joy of Victory, will turn into a dance floor for three hours. The main action of the holiday will be dancing in the city park to the music of the 30s and 40s performed by a military brass band. Authentic costumes, a stylized sale of ice cream, soda and pies will add realism to the event, Balloons, original photo booths, where everyone can take a picture for memory.
