Horizon Zero Dawn: walkthrough. Horizon Zero Dawn: Tips and Tricks

Guerrilla Games - Hard complex game with a whole bunch of different mechanics and tactics. This guide will help newcomers navigate an unfamiliar world.

Don't be afraid to be distracted

The open world promises many quests and side quests, which usually try not to be distracted. In Horizon Zero dawn The rewards for completing them are too good to ignore, so constantly look for "places of interest" on the map and answer the call of the NPC. Additional pumping will make the passage of the game more comfortable, especially in the later stages.

Plan your upgrade in advance

The game has an extensive tree of skills, and, as usual in the genre, you can quickly buy up the cheapest ones. But don't do that, not everyone will be useful. It is much more profitable to save up for a high-level skill. For example, Concentration, which slows down time. It is expensive, but it will save you a lot of nerves in the future. Also, do not forget that you will not be able to craft all the items either, think in advance what you would like to get from the utilities.

Concentrate on one kind of resource

Horizon Zero Dawn allows you to concentrate on one kind of resource in a very convenient way. Click the "square" in the pause menu, select the "Create job" option and the desired resource. Thus, his search turns into a separate quest with all the tips.

Don't forget about Focus

A high-tech device on Aloy's head is not for beauty, which will be explained in detail in the tutorial. But after a few hours of playing, you can forget about him. Do not do this and constantly use Focus, because it allows you to detect weak spots opponents.

Roll over!

The enemies in Horizon Zero Dawn kindly provide an opportunity to study them, because the attacks are easy to guess. Use this fact, wait for the blow, dodge and hit back. This tactic should be key for you.

Aim from afar and for the head

If on the horizon looms large group opponents, you should first reduce it a little, preferably without being noticed. Aim properly and get rid of as much as possible. more enemies from afar. Once the fight begins, make sure each enemy is flagged so that it will be easier to keep track of them.

Act stealthily, but prepare for battle

A similar rule applies to fortifications if its guards are hidden from ranged attacks. Use the skills gained in training and get rid of as many enemies as possible in stealth mode. The alarm will most likely sound at some point, so always be prepared for an open battle.

Complete In Her Mother's Footsteps

This mission will become available approximately in the second hour of the game. For 15 minutes of passing you will be rewarded with a significant help to the battle - increased damage from a spear. Trust me, it's worth it.

Go to Meridian

Meridian is one of the most important cities in the game. There are several merchants here, but they are all worth their weight in gold. Without extra words: machine hearts, unlimited fast travel, maps for specific items, and even those that are difficult to obtain in battle. In general, we recommend.

The world of Horizon Zero Dawn hides many secrets and it will not be possible to reveal them in one article. But we will try to provide as much useful information as possible.

Horizon Zero Dawn meets the player with more than amazing beautiful world, but also a variety of "fauna", so to speak about mechanical creatures.

The developers even emphasized this by adding achievements to the game related to the study of all possible "creatures":

  • Scan All Vehicle Types (Bronze)
  • All Miner-class vehicles destroyed (Bronze)
  • Scout class vehicles destroyed for all (Bronze)
  • All combat vehicles destroyed (Bronze)
  • All transporter-class vehicles destroyed (bronze)

To obtain these achievements, you have to scan and destroy these robots. But how to find and kill all these machines? Let's figure it out now.

Due to the fact that it is not always possible to say for sure which class a particular machine belongs to, it will be easier and more reliable to destroy all of them. In total, the game has 26 different cars and below I will list their features and habitats.

But first, an important clarification: cars are scattered all over the map, so there are more places where you can find them than in this guide. Here are just examples in which you will definitely find them, but if it is more convenient and closer to you to look in other places, then why not?

Knight.

It is the most widespread robot in the world, so it won't be difficult to find it. The vulnerable area of this robot is the eye, so you can easily deal with it by shooting it. Or with the help of the "Silent attack" you can attack from the bushes.

Runner.

This robot can be used by Eloy to move on horseback. You will get this ability as you progress through the story. To ride this robot, you need to sneak up behind and take control. The weak spot of this robot is a conspicuous yellow balloon with a fireball on its back. Shoot him with fiery arrows and get bang.

Chewing gum.

Just like the Runner, the Gum's weak spot is his back with firefire cylinders. In addition, you can also shoot off his horns if you are about to engage in close combat with him. Otherwise, it is better to avoid direct combat with this robot or actively dodge attacks.

Scavenger.

This robot also does not pose any increased threat in combat. Its weak point is the fuel cell, it is clearly visible and when an electric arrow hits it, the robot takes a lot of damage.

Red-eyed knight.

It is practically no different from the usual Rysker, so it will not give you any difficulties either.

Dugolob.

Like the Runner, this is a rideable car, though much slower. The tactics are similar to the Gummouth, first we shoot at the canister with firefire. Watch out for the horns.

Spearhorn.

This enemy poses a greater threat than the previous ones. It is mobile, and the vulnerable spot - the container with the cooler on the back - is small. Use the freezing arrows to hit her. The horns are really dangerous this time, so I recommend shooting them.

Long-legged.

He can also get you in trouble. It should be dealt with in two stages. First we hit the bag with non-lethal weapons, located in front of the robot, and then we finish off with electric arrows. Aim should be at the fuel cell located on the back.

Buffalo.

Far from the best way for close combat. It has two vulnerable points at once: the processing unit under the belly, which is vulnerable to any attacks, and the fuel cell on the back, it should be shot with electricity. It is also possible to shoot off the horns. Buffalo take increased cold damage, but are immune to fire.

Sawtooth.

This robot is poorly protected from fire, therefore we attack with fiery arrows. Under the belly, there is a firebomb, which is the critical point.

Scarab.

This robot in Horizon Zero Dawn will be extremely useful for you, as it carries valuable loot on its back. So first you need to shoot the fasteners of the box, so as not to be left without valuable things later, because most often, after destruction, the robot explodes. The vulnerable point is the belly, but the robot has an energy shield in front, so you need to attack from behind. By the way, it is better not to attack him with electric arrows, they will inflict the least damage. More tips on killing a Scarab follow the link.

Fire wineskin.

A fairly simple (no) robot to fight, as it has vulnerabilities to everything. If you want to deal with him more tactfully, then first shoot at the esophagus, located in the front, and then with fiery arrows at the balloon with firefire located on the stomach.

Freezer wineskin.

Almost a copy of the previous robot. The only difference is that it has a container with a cooler, which should be hit with freezing arrows.

Lenthorog.

A riding robot that is similar in speed to the Runner. The tactics of the battle are identical to the Chewing gum, we shoot the balloon and are afraid of the horns.

The hunter.

It can be a dangerous enemy, as it can become invisible. So, first of all, we shoot a jack arrow at the stealth field generator, and then we finish off with electric arrows, they will cause increased damage.

Kite.

A flying robot with a container with a cooler on its chest. First, respectively, we shoot at her, and then we finish off with fiery arrows.

Invader.

Enough rare representative robotic fauna, which cannot be found just like that. This robot is afraid of overheating, so shoot it with fiery arrows. After that, there will be an opportunity to shoot at a thermal shock. The result will be a powerful explosion.

Likhodey.

This robot is vulnerable to fire, and also has two critical points: a coolant tank in the front and a fuel cell located on the back. In the first case, we equip freezing arrows, and for the second, respectively, electric ones.

Snaptooth.

This "crocodile" is similar to Likhodey, as it also burns well. The only difference is that on his back he has a fireproof canister, and not a fuel cell like Likhodey has.

Stone gnaw.

Be careful when fighting Stonescreen. This semblance of a mole is able to burrow into the ground because of its powerful paws. So first I advise you to inflict damage on these paws with the help of punch arrows. There are two critical points: the exhaust port and the fuel bag under the belly. They are vulnerable to all types of arrows, and the robot itself will not be very happy if you shoot freezer arrows at it.

Hippo.

Although the Behemoth looks intimidating in Horizon Zero Dawn, in fact, he is not a very dangerous opponent. It has two vulnerabilities: the cooler in the back and the fuel cell in the back. We shoot with suitable arrows and the enemy is defeated. By the way, he, like the Scarab, has a compartment with a load, which is better to shoot in advance.

Gromozev.

Gromozev is truly a dangerous adversary. Although he has three vulnerable points, they are small, so it is difficult to get into them. Especially when you consider that this is a mobile enemy, which, among other things, will fire at you with a variety of weapons. Nevertheless, on his back he has a can of fire, a cooler on his belly, and a fuel cell lurking under his tail. Also shoot in the forehead, where the data warehouse is located, and in the heart.

Petrel.

The second flying machine in the game and more dangerous than the Kite. When fighting a petrel in Horizon Zero Dawn, you should dodge more often, avoid tail attacks, and also avoid standing in one place when this thing soars. There are two main critical points: the cooler near the head and the firebox near the tail. Also, you can shoot firing arrows at the engine and arrester.

You don't have to look for it, as this robot will appear in front of you as you progress through the storyline in Horizon Zero Dawn. Afraid of overheating, so first we bombard him with fire. Then we hit the core, cooling rods and vents. The cannons can also be shot with the use of punch arrows, this will simplify your task. Now you know how to kill a fighter.

Longer.

How kill Longneck in Horizon Zero Dawn? You will not be able to kill this diplodocus. The maximum is to take over control. By the way, when you do this, you will discover a piece of the map.

Infected car.

In terms of tactics, battles are no different from their usual counterparts. Perhaps they are more afraid of fire. You can meet them in the infected lands.

Want to hunt robotic dinosaurs like a post apocalyptic pro?

Open world and robot dinosaur hunting, what more could you ask for? The PS4-exclusive game has consumed us during this review - especially on the PS4 Pro, where 4K HDR visuals make Zero Dawn the best beautiful game of all time.

But these huge metal beasts are not ready to dutifully endure beating. Want to know how to deal with a swarm of Rex robots before entering the world of Horizon: Zero Dawn? Read on for our tips and tricks on how to survive in the robot world on PlayStation.

Never stop picking grass

Referencing herbal collection, old-timers of console games recall the old Resident Evil, Horizon uses a healing system that requires either health potions (which are quite expensive and only found from traders or lifted from corpses), or freely available herbs growing throughout the open world of Horizon. ...

The green bar under your health, located in the upper left corner of the screen, is your medical bag, which can be used by pressing up on the crossbar (it will replenish your health until it is fully restored or runs out medications). This strip can be filled three times (green crosses under the strip indicate a supply), so remember to collect fresh herbs when traveling (most of them are red, although in colder regions they can be white).

Use tall grass to hide from enemies

Horizon's stealth mechanics are very similar to what you might have seen in recent games Far cry- where your opponents can chase you only on condition of line of sight. With this in mind, use tall grass (usually red or light-colored) to get close to wild robots or human opponents.

Keep in mind that the Horizon robotic monsters are also very sensitive to sound, so be sure to sit down. This will hide you in the grass and drown out the sound of your footsteps. You can now plan and hunt your chosen target while remaining stealthy (tall grass is also great for sneaking past dangerous foes you're not ready to face).

Level up: Correct skills in the first couples

Like most action-packed role-playing games Horizon uses a skill tree that unlocks special moves and actions that can make the difference between a successful hunt and death. These skills are divided into three types: Hunter / Prowler(Hunting), Warrior / Brave(Combat) and the Collector / Forager(Resource Gathering and Crafting).

In the "Tramp" section, invest points in the Silent Attack / Silent Strike(stealth, hidden attack), Low Silhouette / Low Profile(limits your visibility to the enemy) and Evasion / Dodge prowess(adds two new rolls). In the "Propper" section, select Gatherer / Gatherer(increases the amount of collected herbs) and Healer / Healer(accelerates healing). And finally, in the "Warrior" section, select Concentration / Concentration(slows down time by pressing R3) and Accuracy / Precision(increases the chance of a critical hit).

Use trick before attacking a new robot

The device on Aloy's head is not only part of the plot - it is also an incredibly useful tool in the game. In addition to providing the ability to follow a trail, Focus can also be used to study the enemy and identify weak spots that are susceptible to critical hits (these will be highlighted in yellow when you activate Focus on L3).

You move much slower and cannot aim in Focus mode, so if you spot a new, frightening enemy, just hide in the nearest cluster tall grass and use the Focus to study it. Focus also allows you to see enemies through obstacles and can be used to highlight patrol routes, an important part of any attempt to clear a bandit camp.

Buy different types of arrows from vendors to unlock them

And while some arrows can only be used with certain bows - the Precision Bow uses arrows of the same name, for example - the standard Hunting Bow (and its modifications) can shoot three different types arrows. You can shoot and craft standard arrows from the start, they do the main damage, but you will have to buy fire arrows and hard-tipped arrows from vendors to be able to craft them yourself or choose from the radial menu.

Hold R1 to open it and you will see three types of arrows on the far left of the wheel - just select the ones you want by holding X and you can craft up to 10 arrows in a matter of seconds. As an additional recommendation: Collect the lumber in the first few hours (you can carry as much as you need, since the tree only takes up one slot in your inventory) - you will need it.

Study the weaknesses of the robots and then use fire, ice and traps / ammo

Each robot monster that roams the wilds of the open world of Horizon usually has a specific strength and a certain weakness (for example, Snaptooth draws strength from ice, so it can be significantly weakened by fire). Always use your Focus to find out what to use against a robot before engaging in combat (especially if it's a new robot).

If the enemy is weak to some element, a circle will begin to fill above him - as soon as it is full, he will start inflicting damage until the counter runs out. This tends to slow down or immobilize the enemy, so use your precious time to destroy the armor plates and weapons of the robot.

Use hard-tipped arrows for critical damage

One more important advice is to use hard-tipped arrows to maximize damage to vulnerable (yellow) points. Defeating weak zones deals critical damage to the monster (you will understand, because the damaged component will hiss and glow blue).

Use the Concentration skill (press R3 while aiming) to slow down time and make an aimed shot. This tactic is vital in dealing with superior foes like Thunderclaw, Snaptooth, and Petrel. Another use for hard-tipped arrows is to destroy weapons before taking on armor - when the robot is unarmed, you need to dodge fewer threats. You can pick up some weapons and use them!

Fast Travel with Hidden Golden Fast Travel Pack

The world of Horizon is full of bonfires that allow you to save your progress in seconds. These very bonfires also serve cozy place rest and can be used as moving points. The fact of the matter is that fast travel is not free, you need Fast Travel Pack, a travel backpack.

But we want to recommend that you resort to fast travel only when it is especially necessary - you will swing much faster, exploring the territory on your own, participating in open battles and hunting in between. However, if you really want to travel fast, you can find the Golden Traveler's Backpack from several vendors with a crosshair symbol (we found one behind long bridge Meridian).

Do not rely on only one bow in battle

One of the main games in which Horizon drew on the combat system is The Witcher 3, so you have to play like you control the White Wolf, you have to use more than one weapon with every robot dinosaur. Most of the weapons can be found at vendors with a crosshair over their heads.

For example, if you are fighting Thunderosev, you will need rope spools that attach to the ground and help immobilize him (allowing you to shoot the dinosaur with your bow). Alternatively, try using a launch sling powerful bombs with damage to the elements of fire. Experimenting is the key to winning this game, feel free to return to the bonfire.

Boilers, Infected Zones and Big Dinosaurs: Leveling Up

When it comes to any game with an experience system (in other words, every game), it's great to know how to speed up the experience process in order to build up health and gain skill points. For us, the consistent exploration and robot fights that take place in the process (especially the biggest ones) are a surefire way to gain XP.

Clearing infested zones (marked on the map "X") and cauldrons (dungeons in Horizon) also hide a sea of experience. If you want to find them, you can track the congested signal with the Focus, which will mark them on the map.

Today we will tell you about all types of robots, about their habits, vulnerabilities and tactics of battles with them.

But first, I want to touch on a few important elements. gameplay, which can greatly simplify the battle with enemies. Yes, it's not so difficult to figure them out on your own, but judging by the numerous questions from the Internet, not everyone can do this, or rather, not only everything ... well, you get the idea.

Why are traps needed

Having learned how to correctly set traps, you can special problems inflict serious damage on enemies, just luring them to devices installed in the right places. All traps, like small arms, have their own elemental effects: explosive, fire and electric.

Why do you need a rope launcher

The rope launcher is an excellent choice for those situations when the attack of the beast is inevitable, but hitting a briskly moving target with a bow is quite difficult. In this regard, serious inconveniences are caused by kites, trappers, petrels and other enemies, on which it is difficult to fix the sight due to their agility. But it is enough to get the rope launcher out of the inventory, nail the car to the ground with cables, and you can safely shoot the lassoed enemy with the most effective ammunition.

How to find weaknesses in robots

The protagonist of the game Horizon Zero Dawn has a visor in her arsenal, with which you can scan the area, find valuable items, and read encrypted notes ancient civilization etc. Among other things, the visor allows you to scan enemies and find weaknesses in their structure. All you need to do is get closer to the enemy, point the camera at him and press R3. The visor will take a few seconds to determine the target's vulnerabilities, after which it will indicate yellow those places where you need to shoot.

Also, after the scan has taken place, you should pay attention to other information that will appear on the screen, because the visor can tell the effects of which of the elements the machine is vulnerable. When you realize that, for example, the target in front of you cannot stand the fire, pick up fire ammunition and mercilessly punish the piece of iron.

And now about what all the same weaknesses each of the machines presented in the game has:

Knight's vulnerabilities

Most weak representative robotic fauna. Problems can only be delivered by early stages games. Its role in the world of Horizon is its watchdog and guard function. As a rule, trotters live next to a herd of other robots in order to warn everyone about the danger when they see an enemy.

Vulnerability: the raiders have one single eye, it is precisely their "Achilles' heel". It is enough just to drive a pair of arrows into the luminous element and the enemy is finished. In addition, the knight can be easily killed with an ordinary spear in close combat.

Runner vulnerabilities

Another car that cannot boast of serious performance. There is exactly one problem in the battle with the runner - these creatures do not walk alone, they are flock machines that respond to the enemy amicably and together try to trample the enemy. The value of the runners lies in the fact that, upon receiving the appropriate equipment, you can easily lure one of the individuals to your side and then use it as a horse for more convenient movement across unexplored lands.

Vulnerability: To kill a runner, you need to aim at the tank with a firebomb in the back of the hull. It is enough to shoot down these cylinders, after which it will remain to shoot one or two arrows at her head.

How to kill a ruminant

Another animal that outwardly seems rather dangerous, in fact, ruminants are not so scary. Curiously, in a pack, these robots pose virtually no danger to you. A swarm of ruminants will flee rather than attack the enemy. Loners are another matter. A lonely wandering ruminant will certainly want to destroy the enemy at all costs.

Vulnerability: On the back of this machine's body there are four canisters of fire, which are easily knocked down by ordinary arrows, causing serious damage to the ruminant. Horns are also a vulnerable spot of this individual, they can also be shot down with arrows.

Scavenger vulnerabilities

As it is not difficult to guess from the name, these machines are engaged in collecting useful parts from the remains of the deceased "piece of iron". They have in their arsenal a module for identifying a hidden enemy, so you should be very careful when approaching them.

Vulnerability: to destroy the car, it is worth knocking down the radar on the back and the reactor on the back of the scavenger's body. If there is only one individual, then you can practice close combat on it. In this case, it is worth using tactics Dark souls: We hit until the car is ready to attack, dodge the blow and hit again.

Red-Eye Knight Vulnerabilities

This is just a variation of the good old knight with improved armor. It should be noted that this model has improved armor around the eye, so when meeting this vehicle, it is worth carefully targeting the vulnerability.

Archead vulnerabilities

Also a variation, but already a runner. Distinctive feature of this model are the horns with which the robot can strike.

Vulnerability: the horns are also the weak point of the archead. By shooting off the horns, you will not only cause damage to the car, but also deprive it of the ability to perform a ram. Also vulnerable to this model are containers with a fire on the back of the body.

Speargun's Weaknesses

Spearhegs look like ruminants, but instead of antlers on their heads there are borax spears. Spearguns behave similarly to ruminants, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel in hunting these animals.
Vulnerability: As well as the horns of the ruminant, the weak point of the lancer is the horn itself (what a surprise). In addition, there are containers on the back of their bodies, but not with a fire, but with a refrigerant.

Strider's Weaknesses

A very unpleasant enemy. First of all, it causes problems with its persistence, because having noticed you, it will not only long time go on your heels, but can also call for reinforcements from several such individuals. However, in a fight, the strider is capable of fraying your nerves. It throws the player back with a stream of air and fire from the wings, rams and at the same time does quite significant damage.

Vulnerability: on the strider's back there are containers vulnerable to arrows, knocking down such a container will deprive the robot of a fire attack. To prevent the strider from calling for help, it is better to shoot off a pair of antennas from its head. You should also pierce the shields on his chest in order to open yourself access to the most important weak point.

Buffalo vulnerabilities

The bison is outwardly large and scary, but in fact it can be sent to a landfill without much difficulty. The main thing is to constantly keep at a significant distance, trying not to fall under his ram and other melee attacks.

Vulnerability: On the bison's head there are rather large horns, which just ask to be shot at. Well, how can you refuse ... Having lost its horns, the bison will stop using the ram, and its total damage will be somewhat lower. On the back of this car you can see antennas and containers, which are also not a sin to shoot down. The main vulnerability of a bison can be considered a large container on its belly, inside which there is a firefire.

Razortooth vulnerabilities

Large, fast and pretty strong enemy, which at first is best avoided. The most disgusting thing about the battle with the sawtooth is that there is very little time between its attacks to aim and fire. The rope launcher and traps will come to the rescue here.

Vulnerability: first of all, it is better to immobilize the enemy with a rope launcher, and only after that try to shoot off weak structural elements. Such elements include antennas, a yellow device in the back, and a container on the belly.

Scarab vulnerabilities

Quite slow, simple, but at the same time annoying enemy. In its arsenal, the scarab has a shield and energy weapons. Fortunately, scarabs do not jump or run at breakneck speed, so it is quite easy to punish them.

Vulnerability: The robot's left claw is responsible for a shield that recharges from time to time. At this moment, you need to shoot the right claw and move your sight to the left one, in which the energy weapon is located. If, after shooting the claws, the car does not fall apart, then at least it will become practically harmless. It will remain to shoot a couple of times at any place on her body.

Weaknesses of the fire wineskin

Even in the later stages of the game, a meeting with a fire wineskin can be fatal for the heroine of the game, so you should be very careful when dealing with this creature. As it is not difficult to guess, the fire wineskin uses fire for attacks. At the same time, the wineskin does not disdain melee attacks, so you should not stand in his way and get confused under his paws.

Vulnerability: on the back of the fire wineskin there is a rather large tank with firefire, a container with the same firefire is located on the neck of the machine. These are the points where the power of all your attacks should be directed. It is advisable to use projectiles with a freezing effect in battle. If, after the destruction of the containers, the wineskin can still survive, then it is worth transferring the sight to the belly of the robot, because somewhere there is a small balloon.

Freezer wineskin vulnerabilities

Everything key features a fire wineskin are also typical for a freezer, except that instead of a fire, this machine uses a refrigerant.
Vulnerability: The vulnerable points of the freezer wineskin are identical to the fiery counterpart, only instead of cold, this machine is vulnerable to fire.

Bandhorn vulnerabilities

Another variation of rideable robots. For the tapeworm, all the same is true that is characteristic of archeads.

Vulnerability: we shoot at the cylinders in the back of the car and at the horns.

Trapper Vulnerabilities

A machine that can occupy one position for a long time to track down a victim. The hunter set up signal traps at the location, and they themselves climb onto rocks or other hills in order to observe from a height the territory on which the victim may appear. The problem is that it is not so easy to find the hunter, because these machines have a camouflage system. In addition, these creatures can emit a draft roar, which is pulled together by other machines.

Vulnerability: There is a pair of antennas and a protruding yellow device on the back of the hunter's hull. There is a similar hunting device near the head of the machine. We shoot down the antennas - we make it impossible to call for help, we shoot down the yellow devices - we turn off the camouflage and the system of spreading traps.

Kite vulnerabilities

These animals rarely fly alone, so when you see at least one kite in the sky, you should remember that somewhere nearby there are at least a couple of his friends. Attacking in a group, kites are capable of delivering a lot of problems, because they are not so easy to hit, and they themselves can fly away at an impressive distance, use missiles and ice attacks. In a word, getting involved with them into battle is only worth having with you decent weapons and a decent supply of trash for the manufacture of ammunition.

Vulnerability: The vulture's Achilles' heel is the chest compartment, which is covered by armor by default. We knock down the armor, open access to the reactor, after which we shoot what is urine into the glowing spot on the chest. It is best to first lass the kite with a rope launcher.

Invader's vulnerabilities

A very strong and agile representative of the mechanized fauna. His attacks will force you into again recall the basic combat mechanics in Dark Souls.

Vulnerability: There are cannons on either side of the invader's head that are vulnerable to attacks from your weapon. The first step is to shoot them. If desired, the car can be overheated with fiery shells and at the moment when it opens the compartments for cooling, cause devastating damage to vulnerabilities.

How to kill a scoundrel

Likhodey is just a more serious version of the sawtooth, so if you have already defeated the latter, then there will be no problems with the scavenger.

Vulnerability: the set of weaknesses of the dodger is almost identical to the sawtooth, except that in the arsenal of this machine there is a cannon that can be knocked down without much difficulty and later used as a heavy weapon. In this case, it will be even easier to defeat the bad guy.

Crack Tooth Vulnerabilities

Clicktooths live near water bodies. It is often difficult to locate this machine without a scanner, as the cracktooth camouflages itself very effectively when submerged under water.

Vulnerability: Flame canisters can be seen on the body of the cracktooth, as well as many yellow elements. The latter are both on the body of the robot and on its tail. It is necessary to aim precisely at these parts of the structure.

Rock gnaw vulnerabilities

Stone-gnawers are very large creatures, but this does not prevent them from making tunnels underground and thus getting close to their prey.

Vulnerability: in a battle with a rock gnaw, it is highly discouraged to stand in one place, because the robot will appear under your feet and inflict heavy damage. Hiding somewhere on stones or rocks is also not an option, because in their arsenal, rock-gnawers have small arms that, when hit, not only cause damage, but also throw them back. The only correct decision in a battle with this creature is to run, waiting for the stone gnaw to crawl out from under the ground to the surface, and then shoot at the green container on the belly of the beast with explosive shells.

Behemoth vulnerabilities

Quite a big and not the most pleasant opponent. Outwardly, the hippopotamus resembles a bison, only there are no horns on its head, which, however, does not prevent it from famously knocking down the heroine's health scale.

Vulnerability: first of all, you need to shoot at the container on the belly of the hippopotamus, at the same time, you can cause serious damage by destroying the refrigerant cylinders on the back of the car and yellow devices on both sides of the animal's body.

Thunderstorm vulnerabilities

This comrade is really impressive in size, and his attacks can send even experienced players to the next world. It is worth going into battle with him only if you have good equipment. If other robots are wandering next to this giant, then the first step is to stealthily eliminate them, because otherwise all this trifle will get tangled under your feet and complicate your life in every possible way.

Vulnerability: there are cannons on both sides of the thunderbolt's hull, which should be shot down at first. This is important because one of these guns is a disc thrower that can be used as a heavy weapon. Taking the disc thrower in hand, we shoot while there are shells at the cannons on the sides of the thunderbolt's muzzle and on the back, at the cylinders on the back, at the tail and at the antennas.

How to kill a petrel

Another enemy that's better once again get around. The problem here is not only that it is difficult enough to defeat, but also that it is difficult to escape from the petrel. Seeing the heroine, the petrel follows her through the air, while periodically releasing electric projectiles, which in most cases overtake the victim and cause serious damage.

Vulnerability: To make things easier for yourself, it's best to first shoot down the nozzles on the robot's wings. In this case, the car will not be able to fly and the chances of a successful battle will increase. Next, it is worth destroying the containers in the area of the petrel's tail, as well as knocking down the protection from the bird's chest. When the protection is removed and vulnerability opens, you need to direct all your forces, the power of arrows, to this element. In this case, it will turn out to cause the most serious damage to the car.

How to kill a fighter

The exterminator does not look like an animal at all. It's more like a tank on its feet. The battle with him is not so much difficult as long, because the fighter has a fairly serious resistance to damage.

Vulnerability: its arsenal is rich, so everything from which this tank shoots is worth destroying. Watch out for opportunities to deal damage to glowing elements as the fighter cools down from overheating. Otherwise, circle around him and shoot at the cannons.

How to kill a long-necked

If you suddenly voluntarily decide to go and kill these stately and graceful creatures, then we have two news for you:

These cars are invulnerable, but they can be scanned, for this you need to jump on your neck and get along it to the highest point. Scanning will reveal part of the map.

Vulnerabilities of infected machines

Any car can be infected, so the approach to each of the enemies must be chosen based on its breed. It is important to remember that the infected can transmit a harmful effect to the heroine of the game, though not forever. For a while, the effect of the infection will stick to Aloy and will gradually take away part of her health.

The journey for a thousand years begins, but this time you should not expect from him spaceships plowing the vastness of the galaxy. In Horizon: Zero Dawn, the future of humanity looks sad: people are thrown almost into the Bronze Age, and the world is completely ruled by huge machines.

What happened? Aloy, the exiled huntress and concurrently the main character of Horizon: Zero Dawn, will try to answer this question. Together with her, we will explore the impressive game world and try to understand what is happening.

True, first you need to learn something important about the gameplay mechanics of the game - robots are dangerous, the slightest mistake can cost Eloy's life.

The higher Aloy's level, the more skills she can learn and the more effectively she fights against robots. With each new level, our heroine gets one skill point and ten additional units of health, Eloy earns experience both for completing tasks and for hunting robots.

To speed up the pumping, you should carefully look around. Don't ignore the side quests, long necks, bandit camps and infested zones - visiting all of these places will provide Aloy with additional experience, although it can be quite dangerous.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - What You Need to Know About Robot Battles

Robots are huge and very dangerous creatures, a successful hit can easily deprive Aloy of half of her health. Conclusion - it is worth preparing for battles in advance.

Start by scanning. Thanks to her sensor, Aloy is able to identify the weak points of robots. Each type of robot needs to be scanned only once, after which information about the machine will appear in the game database. Believe me, it is worth spending some time reading - this knowledge will greatly simplify your life.

Don't forget to choose the right weapon - different types weapons do damage different types... Again, it's worth spending some time researching the inventory and stats of the weapon. For example, arrows that damage armor are great for battles with big cars- they are able to demolish parts of the armor in one hit. You will find a list of the best weapons in the game.

After the battle, these parts are worth picking up, they will still be useful to you.

Do not forget to install modifications on weapons and equipment. They are able to add some positive effects to Aloy or provide weapons with new types of attacks - for example, increasing armor penetration or adding some freezing effect.

Mods, like all equipment, are worth checking for relevance from time to time. Dying too often? Take a look at your inventory and skills section - maybe it's time for you to pick up a couple of new abilities and dress up. Sometimes it's worth visiting the merchants - suddenly something new has appeared?

If the task is not completed in any way or the robot is not killed in any way, then you should pay attention to the surroundings. Go through side quests, level Aloy and come back again.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - Dealing with Inventory, Resources and Equipment

As with many RPGs with open world, Aloy keeps stuffing inventory to the eyeballs with items varying degrees usefulness. In Horizon: Zero Dawn, this can be robot parts, equipment, ammunition and various resources - for example, one of the plants, a balm, will be useful for restoring health. Did you see four red flowers? Take it without hesitation.

You probably noticed that items in your inventory can be highlighted different colors... These colors indicate the quality of objects, there are four such colors in total: white ( ordinary items), green (uncommon items), blue (rare items), and magenta (very rare items).

The best place to start is by increasing the size of your inventory - at first it is very small and you have to carefully choose what to take with you. The first time in Horizon: Zero Dawn is worth spending on hunting: Aloy uses the obtained skin and bones to expand his backpack. In addition, they are useful for organizing fast travel.

Fast travel in Horizon: Zero Dawn is tricky. First you need to find a fire, then you need to create a special fast travel kit: it requires 15 units of wood, 1 unit of fatty meat and 1 unit of bony meat. Over time, the process can be simplified - merchants will have gold fast travel kits. 10 units of fatty meat, one fox hide, 50 metal shards - and you can travel as much as you want.

From time to time it is worth visiting the merchants just to rid the inventory of unnecessary garbage. It is worth noting that you will receive the best equipment when you collect five fuel cells, but the best weapons are bought from merchants or obtained for completing the hunting chain of tasks.

The main thing is not to get carried away with the sale. Before you give all the resources you get to the merchant, make sure that you cannot collect anything useful from them. This is especially true for ammunition - try not to sell or throw away resources used to produce ammunition.
