(Mystic Faerie Tarot) is a colorful world of fairies, nymphs and elves who will guide you through a beautiful magical garden that deck author Barbara Moore compares to human life. In the Russian version, the deck is called “Tarot of Mysterious Fairies.” Fairy messages are transparent and simple, the cards are easy to read and not overloaded with esoteric symbols, the fairy-tale illustrations are charming. The Major Arcana depicts the main secrets and mysteries of human life, and the suits of the Minor Arcana tell a story dedicated to one of the aspects of human life. The Tarot of Mysterious Fairies and Elves has the unusually gentle positive energy of a fairy tale and gently presents the bitter truth so that everyone finds the strength to get out of a difficult situation. The mystical Tarot of fairies can safely be called the most beautiful Tarot deck with a unique magical beauty, which allowed Mystic Faerie Tarot to get into the top 10 best new decks according to Aeclectic Tarot in the year of its release.

(Fairy Tarot) is a fun traditional deck of tarot cards, in which instead of the usual suits you will see fairy acorns, leaves, bells and hearts. The atmosphere of a fairytale forest also permeates the Major Arcana, for example, Justice became the patroness of trees, the nymph Dryad, and Temperance was named the patroness of the air element, the light and agile fairy Sylph. Tarot Tales of the Forest will captivate you with its deep symbolism and charming pictures reflecting the life of the fairy-tale people of the forest. In the cheerful and colorful deck, which is also called the Tarot of the Elves, funny fairy wizards help people through the Arcana of the Tarot. Combining eccentricity and deep insight into the essence of things, they, as if by magic, logically and simply build predictions, showing the essence of the problem and ways to solve it.

(Tarot of the Mermaids) invites you to swim in the depths of your unconscious, boldly look into the eyes of mermaids and mermaids and at the same time “come out unscathed.” With the gentle singing of sirens, the Tarot Arcana of the Magical World of Sirens accompany the brave traveler on a dangerous voyage along the waves of life. Mermaids, naked from the waist up, like beautiful nymphs from the depths of the unconscious world, warn of impending danger. The arcana of this Tarot, in which the role of pictorial symbols is played by fabulous sea creatures, correspond to the plots and symbolism of the Rider-Waite school and relate to. The cards of each suit of the Minor Arcana are made in their own marine colors and have the original magical symbols of the suit: sea shells, tridents, oars and pearls. If you love fairy tales and legends about sirens and mermaids, then Tarot The Magical World of Sirens will become your faithful assistant on your journey through rough waters the ocean of life among deceptive currents and underwater rocks.

(Tarot of White Cats) combines several allegories through artistic images of white cats, where the white color itself is a symbol of purity of spirit and clarity of mind, and together with the nine lives of cats symbolizes the transition from death to life and spiritual rebirth. Many symbols are combined in the White Cat Tarot deck, hypnotizing like the eyes of a cat and bewitching like its movements. Some cards resemble pictures from a cheerful children's fairy tale telling about a cat's carefree nature, but the mysterious Aranas of the White Cat Tarot, like the thoughts of any cat, will not immediately reveal their meaning to someone who likes to philosophize. A magical, soft, fluffy and kind deck does not color life in pink tones, answers money and everyday questions well, calmly “purring” at the right moment the real picture of what is happening.

(Dragons Tarot) is an emotional, bright deck that tells about human interaction with mythological creatures - dragons, where dragons symbolize our concerns, fears and complexes. From whether we find them mutual language, depends on our attitude and life in general. The bright and dynamic illustrations of the Dragon Tarot deck perfectly reflect the various aspects of the relationship between man and dragon. In all the mythologies of the world, dragons symbolize the four elements, primordial natural energy and the conflict between the feminine and masculine principles. Dragon Tarot cards interpret images of characters from fairy tales and myths of Africa, America, Europe and Asia from the perspective of the traditional Tarot. If you are interested in myths about magical dragons and are looking for a deck to work with life crises and deep problems, then the Dragon Tarot deck is literally made for you.

(Spirit of Flowers Tarot) is a charming, colorful deck that intertwines the language of flowers with the classic symbolism of the Tarot. In the images of children and fairy-tale elves, speaking with cheerful and carefree eyes, it is revealed alive soul colors. The entire spectrum of colors of the world, reflected in flowers, is intertwined with the range of human feelings and corresponds to them. The mystical secret language of flowers has traditionally been used for many centuries not only for love messages, and you will see cute images of children with angel wings more than once in your heartfelt messages. The magical Flower Tarot deck gives positive energy, uses the symbolism of flowers, preserving the traditions of the Rider-Waite Tarot. If you are familiar or want to get acquainted with the symbolism of flowers, then magnificent watercolor illustrations, imbued with childish spontaneity, will magically dispel your melancholy, become your favorite deck, soothe illnesses and give optimism.

The history of Tarot cards and its most beautiful Legends

Tarot is a sphere that will never lose its appeal. The question of the origin of Tarot is a very favorite and always hotly discussed topic for many.

The mystery of the origin of the Tarot has been kept secret for many centuries. I'll tell you about the most attractive stories. So:

4 main legends about Tarot:

  1. Origin from Atlantis
  2. Egyptian origin
  3. Romani origin
  4. Jewish origin (Kabbalistic)

Lost Atlantis

Atlantis is a rich state that was located on an island in Atlantic Ocean. It existed approximately 12 thousand years ago. Our era, which is counted from the birth of Christ, is only 2 thousand years old now.

In this ancient country there lived giants whose height was more than 2 meters and they were all endowed with superpowers: both spiritual, intuitive, and physical superpower.

This civilization perished due to a flood and earthquake and completely sank under the ocean water. Many scientists and researchers are ready to bet that the Bermuda Triangle is the site of the sunken Atlantis.

The Bermuda Triangle is an area in the Atlantic Ocean where, for some incredible and absolutely fantastic reasons, planes, ships sometimes disappear and people die. There is a lot of controversy about the connection between Atlantis and the Bermuda Triangle.

But not so long ago, scientists made a discovery that shocked everyone. At the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle, a pyramid was found, much larger in size than even the Cheops pyramid. But the most shocking thing for many was that there was more than one such find there. So the version that Atlantis is in the Bermuda Triangle is beginning to gain more and more rights to its existence.

So, the Atlanteans possessed ancient scientific and philosophical knowledge and, even before the flood, managed to transfer it to people of other countries. Tarot is the knowledge of the Atlanteans. It is believed that the Tarot in the form in which it exists now is a deformed, pale copy of the elements of knowledge and writing of the lost civilization of Atlantis.

Egyptian origin

Egypt was one of the first countries to accept the knowledge of the Atlanteans even before the flood of their civilization.

But since everyone knows about Atlantis, but no one can find it, many people ask the question: “Did it exist?” Skeptical people believe that this is a beautiful fairy tale about a “ghost island.” And they prefer that Tarot originated in Egypt.

The wisdom of the Tarot was encrypted in Ancient Egypt in frescoes on temple walls and in gold embossed sheets. This is how occult truths were depicted in symbols.

There is a legend that in Egypt there was a temple in which there were 22 rooms, on the walls of which symbolic paintings were depicted. From these paintings subsequently came the Great Arcana of the Tarot, that is, the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot.

"Arkan" ( arcane, arcanum) - translated means “secret”, hidden”, “mystical”, “mysterious”.

"Tarot" ( Tar And Rho) - translated as “road” and “royal”, it turns out “Royal Path”.

Another legend says that the Tarot comes from the Egyptian hieroglyphic “Book of Thoth”. This book was created by priests based on sacred knowledge which the God of wisdom and writing, Thoth, gave them.

A little later, images and numbers began to be stamped on medals, then there were metal plates, they were replaced by leather plates, and then paper ones. This is how modern maps appeared.

Today Tarot is printed on cardboard different quality, sometimes laminated.

Romani origin

Everyone is used to thinking that only gypsies can tell fortunes. And this gypsy craft has always fascinated.

The legend about the gypsy origin of the Tarot says that once upon a time, the Higher Powers saw that the Earth was filled with people who did not experience Love either for the World or for everything that is in it. And the Higher Powers were afraid that the universe would perish if the laws of the Universe became available to all people on Earth. After all, everyone then could have access to colossal opportunities, originally intended for the Highest Good of all.

Then the wise Forces encoded all the knowledge and laws of our Universe into the images of 78 cards. These cards were given to the wanderers. Not all of them realized that great knowledge was encrypted in these cards. The wanderers themselves were called gypsies.

It is known that gypsies descend from one of the tribes of Ancient Egypt. For example, the Spaniards called the gypsies "Gitanos" (derived from "Egiptanos" - "Egyptians"), and the British "Gypsies" (derived from "Egyptians" - "Egyptians"). So the gypsies have their roots in Ancient Egypt and the legend of the gypsy origin merges with the legend of the Egyptian origin of the Tarot.

In the Middle Ages, gypsies moved to Europe. It was thanks to them that Tarot became widely known in Europe. The gypsies told wonderful things about cards, fascinated people with them and used them to predict the future. However, as now.

Jewish origin

It has another name - Kabbalistic .

Kabbalah is an esoteric movement in Judaism. Judaism is the religion of the Jews.

Kabbalah is aimed at understanding the Creator and Creation, at understanding the role and purpose of the Creator, at understanding the very nature of man and at revealing the meaning of existence.

The basis of Kabbalah is the writings of the Sepher Yetzirah.

The legend about the Jewish origin of the Tarot says that the Tarot is a summary of Kabbalistic knowledge.

And the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot contain Kabbalistic wisdom and correlate with the symbolism of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

The Tarot survived the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem because it was smuggled out by dedicated Jews. So they saved the Tarot and it has survived to our times.

Memories of childhood are the best elixir for curing momentary moral blues. And this is absolutely true! Childhood years are always the best in the life of any person, if only because the burden of everyday affairs lies on the shoulders of adults. But it is in childhood that personality formation occurs. There are many factors at play here that come together to create the overall picture. psychological portrait person. It is important to develop the child’s horizons in early age . And the best source for understanding the world lies through good old fairy tales, which caring parents try to read to their baby as often as possible. Of course, when a person grows up, the good old fairy tales become a thing of the past forever. Everything has its time. This stage of life has been passed. But the imprints in our subconscious remain forever. By chance, we can cross paths with the fairy-tale world again. Only the perception will, of course, be different. Various aspects of our existence sometimes carry a short-term ticket to the past. And the tarot system was no exception. Some tarot card decks combine tradition and fairy-tale world. Recently I wrote in one of my reviews about the Tarot deck of Andersen's Fairy Tales. Today I will continue to consider this area and will use an analysis of the Tarot of Russian Fairy Tales from the esoteric hypermarket Magic-Kniga as the basis for the review. The deck was released in 2013. This tarot belongs to a unique tradition, the category, of course, Russian fairy tales. The heroes themselves, who are depicted on our lassos, are selected as objectively as possible, in accordance with the Waitean tradition. The Jester became Ivan the Fool, Death is the Serpent Gorynych, Knights became Knights, etc. The minor arcana are illustrated. The number of arcana is standard 78. The deck has a light, friendly energy, gently and unobtrusively gives advice when considering everyday issues and the psychological aspect of a particular situation. Interpreting the meanings of the arcana when working with a deck is very easy. Mainly due to the fact that many moments are revealed to us from our own subconscious and the inner voice voices for us the answer to the question posed at the beginning of fortune telling. And it is the fairy-tale characters familiar to all of us from childhood, now living deep in our memory, who give us clues. I think now many people understand what it would seem like fairy tales from childhood have to do with it. This is the basis for the development of perception of the world. Let's get to know this creation a little... Now let's give the deck an objective assessment. 1. Workmanship Here we have a box of average quality, a companion book and cards. The cardboard on which the cards are printed is thin, but quite workable. The cutting is much better. Although, there is something to improve. The print quality is quite good. The cards are colorful, bright and beautiful. The quality of the set is quite decent. 2. Text support for the MBK The companion book that comes with the set is written much better than the reference guides for other decks from the same publisher. There is a brief description of the lasso, interpretation of the meanings in the upright and inverted position, as well as from the position of effort to weaken the meanings of the lasso. The latter is especially important for a tarot reader who does not consider the inverted position at all. I myself haven’t watched it for a very long time and I can’t help but note this plus in this MBC. 3. Simplicity from the point of view of the first acquaintance and further work The deck is universal. Will be happy to make friends with both beginners and professional tarot readers. Quite simple and informative. 4. Originality An original idea, a successfully executed synthesis of fairy-tale characters with the Waite tradition is the real highlight in tarology. It is simply impossible not to note this at its true worth. The deck catches your eye at first sight. 5. Value for money Objective price, which fully corresponds to the quality of the deck. And the successfully implemented idea itself is worth paying this price for the set! 6. Collectible value It is quite possible to take it into a collection. Interesting deck, which is not a clone of other works. Individuality with strong charisma. Here is its brief description. It certainly won’t be superfluous on the shelf. 7. Total rating For this set you can give it a meager, but five. If the publisher takes into account minor comments on the quality of the deck and the re-release is based on this, then the top five will be solid! But in general, everything is very good. I am pleased with the fact that Magic-Kniga is trying for us, implementing more and more new interesting ideas. Keep up the good work guys!

FABULOUSTARO

FAIRY TAROT

As a system that helps a person navigate the world, Tarot has now descended from the realm of esotericism into the realm of psychology. Tarot symbols are much more often interpreted psychoanalytically than cosmogonically. And new versions of both interpretations of the cards and the drawings themselves are created (however, rarely deviating from White’s model). At the same time, psychology is increasingly merging with mythology, which makes it possible to decorate the Tarot not only with everyday, but also with fairy-tale images. For example, in Western literature there is a version of such a “fairytale” Tarot, where the cards contain Western fairy-tale plots, partly familiar to the Russian reader.

This interpretation includes the Tarot in the field of fairy tale therapy and relieves those interested in symbolic systems from excessive foggy mysticism - showing that any mental and spiritual process, no matter how difficult to understand, always deals with the reality of our everyday life, which is extremely simple in its origins. If Western Tarot cards need interpretation, then the essence of a familiar fairy tale is self-explanatory, and anyone can apply it to their own life situation, according to the well-known proverb “A fairy tale is a lie, but there is a hint in it.”In addition, a fairytale deck can satisfy the psychological needs of the younger generation: after all, modern children are often interested in both symbols and cards, such as Tarot. Children's perception of fairy tales is good because it has not yet lost its integrity - and therefore accepts the images as alive and deep as they were centuries ago. For children, they are initially filled with that emotional, archetypally integral content that adults often no longer notice. And the metaphysical searches of youth find a good basis in children's direct-figurative perception.

Today it is developing creativity to map drawings, modifying the tradition - and its main drawback is often only an insufficiently substantiated correspondence between the traditional content of the map and the modern drawing. This usually happens in the case when a variant of artistic interpretation is selected only by external and superficial similarity with some symbol of a traditional deck, which does not affect the archetypal depth of this symbol in the general system of Tarot cards. Or if the maps are drawn simply arbitrarily, without any model, there is a danger that they will reflect only a subjective psychological process, but not an objective spiritual one.

Behind any fairy tale there is a myth, and its symbolism is always archetypal. Therefore, although fairy tales are a profanation of myths from the point of view of the most ancient universal mythology, they are emotionally close to us, and on the basis of figurative perception in them one can recognize not only the situational psychological (which psychologists use), but also the deeper spiritual meaning of symbolism.

The most ancient thinking relies on analogies. Tarot, like astrology, is primarily a work with analogies, allowing one to reach deeper layers of consciousness. Therefore, it is important to find the right analogies to which the soul responds: which would clarify the meaning of the arcana, deepen its content, and reveal its modern philosophical meaning. These analogies, in order to serve as a hint and help to the soul, must be simple and beautiful. Based on the deep meaning of mythological archetypes and the astrological meaning of Tarot symbols, we will try to give a fabulous interpretation of Tarot cards, using Russian scripts and well-known plots of foreign fairy tales. The task was to choose the simplest and most understandable plots so that the meaning of the map would not change, but would reveal itself and become clearer.

MAJOR ARCANA

Zero lasso.VAG (IVAN THE FOOL). The Russian image of the Fool of the Tarot deck is, of course, Ivan the Fool, committing unpredictable acts that put him on the brink of death, but also lead to unexpected success.

The plot dynamics of the arcana are best revealed by the scenario of fairy tales, where main character is sent, and more often sent, in search of the unknown: “Go there, I don’t know where, find something, I don’t know what.” This path goal symbolizes unpredictability And freedom search, which is emphasized by the traditional Tarot card. A fairytale map can depict, for example, uninhabited wild island, where it falls Sagittarius Fedot(whom the king sent on a wandering, from a rational point of view, with no visible end, in order to seduce his wife in the meantime) - and dishes on a self-assembled tablecloth, which are served to the wanderer by an invisible hospitable host ( astrologically, Uranus ) , fulfilling all his mental wishes. A self-assembled tablecloth or a wonderful bag where fabulous helpers are hidden are the most common finds of a wanderer: although there may be others (in a Chinese fairy tale, the hero finds a broom, with the blow of which one can rejuvenate a person - the alchemy of immortality traditional for China: the theme of Xian Taoism). The point is that although the hero finds something truly incomprehensible: a miracle, it frees him from the hardships of life, like Fedot - from the oppression of the king.

Archetypally, the image of the Tsar embodies society and its worldview. And such a fairy-tale plot shows that already the first Tarot card sets the task of liberating the hero (the consciousness of “I”) from traditional attitudes - which at the end of the path can lead to a change in the King (the public mind). It’s not for nothing that Uranus leads revolutions, especially in Russia!

The Russian interpretation of this plot is interesting, where the hero wins over the invisible owner of the island with friendly altruism, inviting him to share a meal. This surprises someone who, like the Lord God, is used to only fulfilling the desires of others and does not need anything himself! - therefore, this unknown person decides to keep the hero company, setting off with him on the return journey. Such non-trivial turns of thought distinguish the planet Uranus, which symbolizes everything unexpected and inexplicable that we clearly encounter in life and that grants us freedom from previous standards of behavior and social regulations.

It should be added that the possibility of a person helping God in their joint creativity is an idea of Kabbalah, which passed into the Tarot and is characteristic of Christian esotericism. And also the Russian Orthodox philosophy of God-manhood (V.S. Solovyov and N.A. Berdyaev). The creation of something new presupposes the initial indeterminability of existence and faith in miracles.

And this is more characteristic of the anarchic-free soul of Russia than the regulated life of the West. Since the Uranian archetype reflects the character of our country, here we are “holding the cards”: the plot of finding something unknown is a very Russian theme, as is the image of Ivan the Fool: the main character of most Russian fairy tales. Although the image of a simpleton also exists in Western fairy tales, it does not carry such a positive emphasis - and there a prince more often becomes a king, as prescribed, than a fool - but with us, it’s rather the opposite. This map and the character of Russia indicate that the choice will be made in favor of what is not expected.

1st lasso. MASTER - "The Adventures of Pinocchio". Key Pinocchio, who opens the doors to the magic theater, is an analogue of the magic wand and the Magician’s wand on traditional map Tarot. And in the plot of the fairy tale, like a Magician manipulating objects on a traditional Tarot card, Carlo, with his skill, turns an uncouth block into a doll - a creature similar to a person. What is created by the mind and hands of a person comes to life - and helps him achieve cherished goal: with the help of Pinocchio, Carlo finds a new puppet theater. While working on a log, the master does not seem to set himself the task of creating an entire theater: but the first creative act also latently contains the final goal of creativity. We may not be aware of it and even forget about it - and then, when life helps us complete what we took the first step towards, it seems like magic.

Life teaches you to control the entire creative process, to consciously manage it - this is the meaning of the image of the Magician. This is a map of learning and development of intelligence - Mercury - the main tool in achieving goals. It is archetypally not accidental that Carlo sends Pinocchio to school. But, like our intellect, Pinocchio makes many mistakes, preferring theatrical acting to life instead of studying at school. He is led by the nose by the deceivers the fox and the cat: this can be compared with the fact that in mythology, the beginning of intelligence is natural cunning - and in fairy tales for the little ones, intelligence is usually shown by the deceiver fox. The hero also falls for the bait of easy acquisition of money (enterprising mind). But in the end, Pinocchio stops buying into external circumstances and, coping with them, finds what he was looking for: the key to the country of his dreams, which his creator put into him. The hero pulls back the veil of illusion: a hearth painted on canvas, and finds a real door to the world where fiction becomes reality.

The fairy tale also has features of the 1st Arcana Alice in the Wonderland", where the operation with another is vividly described (as they say today, virtual) the reality of our intellect. To feel at ease in the world of the Looking Glass, Alice must understand her separation from it: the independence of her will from the restrictions traditionally imposed on consciousness. She needs to find herself despite the absurdity of her mind. Then, like the Tarot Magician, she is able to operate with the virtual reality of consciousness: reduce and increase its size, find what she is looking for, enter and leave it at will. This relatively new tale has gained popularity today because control of the mind is the demand of our times. (Astrologically, the aspect of conjunctions between Neptune and Pluto, which occurs once every 400 years and is responsible for the potential for emotional-spiritual perception and transformation of reality, took place at the beginning XX centuries under the sign of Gemini - therefore, as they say in fairy tales, the emphasis on the virtual reality of the mind, as an inevitable background of any mental activity, will be relevant for another three hundred years and three years).

2nd lasso. ENCHANTRESS - " Princess Frog"(there is a similar Western tale - " Princess Mouse"). Ivan Tsarevich receives a frog as his wife: seemingly inferior to the human spouses of his brothers. But by being involved in the magical world of nature, where people have lost access, the Frog Princess surpasses them and elevates it in front of people.- Like the Priestess of the traditional deck, the sorceress acts as a guide in fairy tales the will of nature: which at first looks like a requirement of nature (Ivan Tsarevich must get married). But then the hero realizes that there is something more behind her: nature of life conceals within itself everything imaginable and inconceivable human miracles.

According to psychoanalytic interpretation, the bride in fairy tales is an analogue souls(emotional and mental sphere Moon ), which gradually reveals its personal traits. Just as the soul does not immediately reveal its perfection, the frog that caught Ivan’s arrow in the swamp does not immediately appear as a princess. First, she bakes a cake, weaves a carpet and demonstrates her skills as a craftswoman, gradually preparing the situation for her final transformation (which is more important than her professionalism, which does not yet make her human). The soul invisibly prepares for external self-disclosure, just as a caterpillar wraps itself in a cocoon before becoming a butterfly. The forcing of events (by Ivan the Tsarevich, who burns the frog skin ahead of schedule) disrupts her plans, sending her to the distant kingdom of the subconscious spheres (Koshchei the Immortal). But such a plot connects the will and mind of a person to the natural transformative process: and for consciousness, this process appears as a struggle with Koshchei ( Saturnian archetype of the conservatism of the past, which did not give way to the free flow of life Moon).

The flow of life changes the world naturally and smoothly, just as the human soul changes smoothly. The mind is ahead of the capabilities of nature and therefore fights against it. What is won by reason is consolidated in nature: the frog remains the princess. But the natural course of things - fundamental to any process - is the essence of the second lasso.

III lasso. QUEEN - we find this image, for example, in "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", where a girl, promising to give birth to a hero, becomes a queen: the future for which she is ready knocks on her door in the image of a king (you can remember that the meaning of the letter of this lasso is Dalet - “door”). This image is associated with the fact that on the traditional map, the queen of love is preparing to give birth, and in many ways this tale is about the vicissitudes of the birth of a future, better world: a flourishing new city with the wonders of its culture, which should be depicted on this map. The city that has emerged from oblivion is ruled by the queen and her son - while the old world remains for the old king until he dares to get acquainted with the new one. But for this he must believe his feeling, and not just contradictory information (merchants and relatives) - which puts emphasis on the archetype Venus, mistress of the senses.

Image ladies creation embodied by the Swan Princess, fulfilling all the whims of her savior - and thereby making the newly established kingdom more and more beautiful and attractive to the inhabitants of the old world. Thus, feeling, bringing masterpieces of cultural creation into life, gradually changes the world.

IV lasso. TSAR (IVAN TSAREVICH) - " Ivan Tsarevich and the Grey Wolf","Ivan Tsarevich and Zmey Gorynych", etc. Map Emperor The fairy-tale image of the young king, the strongest and most worthy among the contenders for the crown, is most consistent. To rightfully become a king, the hero (Ivan Tsarevich) must defeat hostile forces, find or return the bride they stole. This heroic plot - one of the most common fairy tales of many peoples - symbolizes the development of human strength and his will to win. In the language of Jung's psychoanalysis, Ivan Tsarevich is looking for his anime: and it’s about understanding yourself and manifest the true will of one's self. We don’t always know what actually drives our actions, and even if we find out the truth, it will be relative: no matter how deeply we understand the situation, we can always understand it even more deeply. The power to act on a person is carried by him ideals, often unconscious. Understanding the highest facet of our aspirations makes it possible to better connect to the inner source of strength, take an active position in life and, in the struggle, overcome obstacles that interfere with self-realization.

Astrologically this is the task of the sign Aries . In a mythical-religious sense, this is a struggle between good and evil. It will undoubtedly end in victory... there is no good, that would be a simplification: after all, the concept of good changes over time. This fight will end in victory truth revealing the truth of the situation. And even if at the moment it is not possible to realize one’s truth, the struggle for the ideal is never in vain: a person acquires the truth, which makes him more resilient and spiritually strong. After all, true strength is the strength of spirit, and the most difficult victory is over oneself.

5th lasso. Sage (Epic Hero). Map Hierophant(priest) traditional deck in fairy tales is projected onto the image sage. In Western fairy tales, a wise old man often helps a young seeker with advice or gives him a drink that gives strength. K.G. Jung identifies this image as a separate archetype, citing a number of tales of this type ( for example, a fairy tale about how an orphan boy lost a cow and in such trouble met a wise old man who helped him find his way in life) . A sage advisor like to the sorcerer Merlin from the epic of King Arthur, often appears in computer games based on plots of Celtic legends. The wizard has the same image - Finn from Pushkin's fairy tale Ruslan and Ludmila"He knows the future and is waiting for the hero to encourage him and guide his path, to give him reliable support - which is symbolized by the sign corresponding to this card Taurus .

But in Russian children's fairy tales, a wise old man with secret knowledge and playing the role of a priest for the hero is rare: he usually takes on an unobtrusive appearance like old forest man- but this is too natural a character for such a card (the Vth lasso draws the image of a conductor of the highest will, but, unlike the IInd, not in the natural, but in the human aspect). And tales about priests in ancient times were unpopular (apparently due to reverence for the profession itself).

And therefore the most colorful is unity spiritual and material aspects of life that this card symbolizes can be depicted through the fairy-tale image of a Russian epic character Ilya Muromets: the heroic strength of which, undoubtedly received spiritually from the Kalik elders who passed on, hints at the power of Taurus and his dedication. Ilya Muromets became the strongest of the heroes for the sake of the good mission of unifying Rus' and for the sake of liberating it from invaders. Like other epic heroes (Dobrynya Nikitich, Mikula Selyaninovich), he does not just amuse himself with heroism: he puts into practice the highest will, embodying what should happen. The hero did nothing to deserve his gift: he simply received it - and just as simply gives it to people, just as the fairy-tale sages do.

VIth lasso. BROTHERS - " Seven Simeons". This is a typical fairy tale plot, where several brothers alike(or friends) with different abilities combine their efforts into one whole, which correlates them with the mythological image corresponding to this card Gemini . Together they undertake an undertaking that would be impossible to accomplish separately.(in a Russian fairy tale, Helen the Beautiful is captured on a ship from across the sea; and in a similar Chinese fairy tale, the five Liu brothers, similar to each other like the five fingers of a hand, overcome the machinations of the treacherous mandarin).

In a psychological sense, such an image symbolizes merging together souls of different people - until the ability develops mutual substitution. This practical alliance and contact in a broader sense than in symbolism love two lovers (Adam and Eve) on a popular Tarot card (although there may be a moment marked mutual exchange qualities, as in A. Krovlya’s deck). Let us remember that the older pictures emphasize different variants the interaction of not two, but three people, and we are talking not so much about love itself, but about the dynamics of this interaction.

VIIth lasso. SOLDIER (CROSSROAD) - "Enchanted Kingdom".The brave soldier stands guard for three nights, steadfastly withstanding the attacks of evil spirits - and his courage defeats it, reviving the kingdom they have enchanted.- Soldier: in fairy tales a symbol of fearlessness and independence - reminds Charioteer traditional card, fearlessly riding across the battlefield, without reins: purely from the inside - driving the chariot of fate. (The plot of the fairy tale “Flint” by Andersen is similar, where a soldier defeats a witch and subjugates huge dogs) .

To animate the world around, to discern the pure and living in the dead and unclean - the task of the sign Cancer , to which this card is mapped. It symbolizes the inner filters of the soul, holding back what should not exist in order to give way to what should live. The world appears all the more beautiful the more the soul is able to perceive its harmony - to decipher it, to disenchant it. But for this, she must open up to its manifestations without fear, not run away from them - which is the problem with the sign of Cancer and this card.

VIII lasso. MERIT (TRUTH-TRUTH).- These are tales about the search for truth: truth, goodness and justice, and about victory, the guarantee of which is personal improvement hero, which corresponds to the image of the justice card, correlated according to the system of the sequence of Zodiac signs with the sign Leo - the central lasso of human perfection. Unlike the tales about Ivan’s struggle with the Serpent/Koshchei ( I V-th Arcana), where the hero has in advance all the necessary positive qualities for his feat, this card will correspond to a plot when the character himself acquires the necessary skills and is rewarded according to this.

True, it may seem that tales of this type, which have a moral connotation (characteristic of Orthodox epics), are not very popular in modern society. Therefore, let us refer to a well-known fairy tale that describes a scenario of personal merit that opens up a new vision of the world and its possibilities. This " The Wizard of Oz". Intelligence who is looking for the Scarecrow, Love hearts which he seeks Tin Woodman, And bravery, which the cowardly Leo acquires, are all virtues of the fire element, which are symbolized by the sign of Leo.

It is characteristic here that when the heroes overcome the obstacles of the path and come to the goal - the wizard Goodwin, so that he gives them the qualities they are looking for, the magician says that they already possess them: they developed them along the way. And even the girl Ellie, who was looking for Goodwin to get home, it turns out, could do it herself from the very beginning: with the help of her magic shoes. The great magician admits that all his magic is to distribute green glasses to the inhabitants of the city: so that life becomes more beautiful. Otherwise, everyone gets from life what they deserve.

IX Arcana. RECLUTCH - " Cinderella". Archetypally here it is correct to change the image from male ( Hermit traditional deck) to a female one, reflecting the zodiac sign corresponding to this cardVirgo and the mythology of economic harvest goddesses ( Demeters And Persephone, whose epithet Bark means Virgo). It matches the letter iodine, symbolizing the divine spirit entering a person - hence the image of the Hermit of the traditional card. But the spirit, according to the original tradition, female, and it touches and transforms the material, corporeal, feminine nature - and the knowledge that the lantern in the Hermit’s hand hints at is of a practical nature here.

In a fairy tale hard work and modesty, dedication to the end, inherent in the sign of Virgo, crowned by the light of love. Thus, inner perfection, born far from human eyes and sometimes unaware of itself, meets with unexpected recognition from people. AND internal consistency There are sometimes more people in society the longer he was independent from it and focused on his work: the more he, in his seclusion, managed to develop in himself what others do not have. In the tree of Kabbalah, this card connects Tiphareth-Sun And Chesed-Jupiter, putting individual abilities in all their sunny splendor at the service of social plan Jupiter.

In the plot of this tale, control over time, inherent in the goddesses of the Virgo archetype, is also important, as natural order, without which the magic of life is impossible (the transformation of Cinderella into a beautiful princess). A similar plot of a hardworking stepdaughter, rewarded according to her deserts, is in the fairy tale " Twelve months", the main episode of which: the disruption of the natural order (the seasons) and its restoration - turns us to the central mythological plots of this archetype (the abduction of Persephone by Hades and her return for the blossoming of life).

Xth lasso.SPINDLE - " Spinners at the ice hole". The spindle is associated with the image of spinning the thread of fate, as well as with rotation Wheels of Fortune traditional tarot card. Initially - the wheels of time: after all, Fortune is initially the goddess of the harvest, bearing fruits in due time, and only then - good luck. Having gone down into the hole for the lost spindle, the good girl receives a casket with enormous wealth for her small services, which she provides willingly; angry and impatient - a chest with coal, tar, etc.

This is how the social planet works Jupiter , corresponding to this card, unexpectedly generously rewarding work and equally strongly punishing for omissions. By creating resonance for an individual’s activities, society multiplies both his achievements and his failures. This map demonstrates the connection between pattern and chance. To be successful you need both. Possibilities, provided to the heroines, are the same: from the point of view of divine justice, the world is arranged in such a way that everyone has the opportunity to deserve the happiness that he needs, but does he make constant efforts to ensure that sooner or later chance will lift him to heaven?

There are many variations of this plot - for example, our famous fairy tale " Morozko". The image of social success that the Wheel of Fortune card expresses is also well manifested in Western fairy tales, where acquired abilities or wealth, while elevating a person, are not for good (for example, " Little Tsakhes" by Hoffman) - and therefore Fortune throws the hero off the pedestal. We do not have an emphasis on the movement of the wheel of Fortune not only up, but also down - probably because the top, in Aquarius's way, is seen in sky-high heights and always seems an unattainable goal. And everything that has been achieved so easily turns to dust, in the life changes of the wheel of times, that all the time you have to start moving from the very beginning - that is, move upward all the time. Therefore, we have not developed a culture of moving downwards, and fairy tales do not reflect it.

XIth lasso. TAMER - "Puss in Boots". A terrible man-eating lion appears next to him, with a small mouse in his paw. Like the Tamer tenderly reining in the lion on the traditional Tarot card, Puss in Boots embodies skill to perfection cultural interaction Libra . Knowing how best to apply them to achieve success, he, like the helper animals of ancient myths, helps the human owner overcome all obstacles, rising to the heights of social status. He's quitting friendly relations with the king, providing him with useful services in time, and does not attack the ogre when he becomes a lion, but asks him to turn into a mouse. Mastering such diplomacy is no easy task. But it is cultural methods of activity that give the highest results.

The sign of Libra is a masculine sign, and if the economic activity of Virgo is archetypally feminine, then cultural diplomacy is rather a masculine matter, so again it is logical to change the gender of the main character of the card plot. Although, you can find fairy tales with a similar female image: for example, Masha from the fairy tale " Masha and the Bear": who figures out how to get the bear to bring her to her grandparents.

There are quite a lot of fairy tales where animals become human assistants, often episodic. And it is characteristic that in these fairy tales animals help the hero out of their own motives - but usually because he wins them over with humane cultural behavior: first of all, he does not go against their first request (does not kill them or save their cubs) . IN In the fairy tale "Puss in Boots" the hero sews boots for the cat with his last money, and Even Masha the bear agreed to help take the pies to her family for taking care of him. Caring for the younger and lower in position elevates a person, raises his own status and self-image.

The meaning of the archetypal idea XI Arcana and cultural sign of Libra - the more people care about the surrounding ecology of nature and human relationships, the more human they will be. When they do not listen to her quiet, unobtrusive advice and abuse her, at least a little (for example, Ivan Tsarevich, not listening to his assistant wolf, kidnaps the firebird along with the cage, and the horse along with the bridle etc.) - this leads to unexpectedly serious troubles. The hero can correct them only at the cost of new exploits, learning to trust the advice of his junior assistant.

XIIth lasso. WATERMAN (DROWNED) - "Sadko". The Sea King likes Sadko's playing of the harp so much- Russian analogue Neptune that the wave washes the merchant off the ship and takes him to the underwater kingdom. There he asks the guslar to play more, and the more Sadko plays, the more the waves play out. The kingdom of the sea begins to dance, and ships sink in the sea - and then the singer, in order to stop the fratricide, breaks the strings.

Sadko turns out victim situations, temporarily falling beyond normal life. But, according to the soft influence of the planet Neptune, this cannot be said to be unpleasant: he is hospitably received by the underwater kingdom - the psychological analogue unconscious spheres (You may recall that on the traditional map the Victim is suspended in a free pose on a flowering hedge). It is no coincidence that Sadko ends up in a sea palace, where few people were: his skill was previously liked by Vodyanoy, who helped the poor guslar become a merchant by giving him golden-finned fish. Although this change in reality occurs spontaneously: Tsar Neptune, taking the merchant away from business when he is transporting goods to Novgorod, sometimes makes us relax at the most unexpected moment (remember that he is also in charge of diseases).

The central dramatic turn of the plot may also be psychologically relevant: despite the miracles and beauty underwater world, Sadko is forced to interrupt the euphoria of the holiday: to silence his song in order to calm the resonance of the seriously rampant elements, fraught with the destruction of external life. Let us pay attention to Sadko’s cultural skills and ethical attitudes, which were the focus of the previous map and which alone made it possible for him to contact another reality and return to his homeland without loss. The unconscious spheres of Neptune make you doubt the attitudes of the mind, turning them over - and the music of Chaos sometimes attracts more than everyday life. But Sadko remains faithful to his love and his native land - that is why he does not remain in the magical kingdom of eternity.

The inversion that the planet Neptune evokes in the mind can be compared to another legend: " The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh", disappearing under water so as not to fall to the enemy, and appearing to people only as a reflection of the earthly city. Likewise, the spiritual reality symbolized by the Neptune archetype often does not have an obvious earthly embodiment. But it undoubtedly turns upside down the usual social ideas, forcing us to look at the world from a different position: impersonal position universal connection and love. And if you need to depict the latter, the best image would be Kitezh, reflected in the lake - and above the lake the nature of the Russian forest sways, rustles and sings.

XIII lasso. BABA YAGA (WITCH), KOSHCHEY THE IMMORTAL - personifications Of death. The meaning of the Tarot card is that there is no death: it is only a transition between two states of life. But such a positive idea still needs to be reached, and the essence of the fairy tale plot is victory over death, which seeks to take away what is most precious from life, encouraging the hero to fight for it. So in a fairy tale" Swan geese"death appears in the form Baba Yagakidnapping a girl's little brother,- but she manages to find him and hide him from the persecution of evil forces.

IN " The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights"death turns around witchplunging the princess into eternal sleep with a poisoned apple, who is saved by her fiancé. Similar to this in " Sleeping Beauty"angry witchportends the death of a newborn baby from a spindle injection, until Prince Charming wakes her up.

Whatever the cause of death: the natural course of events or the poison of envy or resentment - love conquers it: in love (and not in death, which is only a stimulus for the manifestation of love) there is the potential for rebirth. But death itself is dramatic, and the more inevitable it is, the more natural it is. From old fairy tales this drama describes " Snow Maiden": Where spring awakening of nature (fire of feelings- in Rimsky-Korsakov's version ) destroys the possibility of the former, winter-frozen existence. Here nNot only death serves to revive nature, but revival itself turns into death.

Regeneration is a sign problem Scorpio , corresponding to this lasso. And here is the most striking fairy-tale image - Koschei the Immortal: where death and immortality come together, creating a dilemma: is immortality necessary if it does not contain the rebirth of life anew? On the traditional map, the positive of death is that it carries with it the possibility of renewing life, destroying what has become obsolete and acting as a stimulus for the transformation of the life process. In fairy tales, folk wisdom does not color the images of death positively - although in the Tarot picture the beauty of the wise Vasilisa, who waits until Ivan Tsarevich leads her out of Koshchei’s dungeon into the white light, can give such a color to the picture; the charm of a sleeping beauty or a dead princess in a crystal (invisible to the eye) coffin.

XIVth lasso.GIN - " Aladdin and the magic lamp". The genie most corresponds to the "Alchemy" card, which is in charge of the creative transformation of visible, surrounding life on the basis of a hidden internal process of transformation. The genie is a fabulous image of the Kabbalistic " world being", fulfilling the wishes of those who create and compose it.- But only Aladdin, a character with a pure, childlike soul, who does not use his realizable power for selfish purposes of domination, can obtain a wonderful object that gives power to its owner and become the master of a genie, capable of bringing any project to life. Aladdin needs wealth in order to marry the Sultan's daughter, whom he loves, but not at all in order to rise above others and become a ruler himself.

In modern children's literature, the image of a genie is associated with a fairy tale." Old Man Hottabych". And in it all the witchcraft aimed at fulfilling subjective desires fails outright (for example, Hottabych strives for Wolke's wealth, from which he turns out). Hottabych's prospect is to become magician in the circus, where his abilities cannot harm anyone: but only visibly bring miracles into the world. The image of an ordinary worker bringing his ideas to the final, everyday implementation, when he does not have to redo what he has done again, is the pinnacle Sagittarius , the sign of this card. After all, the goal of this sign is to translate an idea into the matter of life, and to do it well: better than anyone else!

XVth lasso. LORD OF DARKNESS (DAMN). Traditionally, this is the image of the prince of this world: the ruler of the world of matter, and therefore darkness - which symbolizes the sign Capricorn , the darkest time of the year. - The rulers of material wealth often appear in fairy tales devils, in Western fairy tales, are vestedly interested in taking people’s souls in exchange for him, which they often succeed in doing. But in the tales of the Russian people, who are not particularly aimed at acquiring wealth (which therefore accumulated in only five percent of the population), the devils are not as terrible as in Western ones. Can you remember" Baldu"Pushkin, where the hero fools the devils, as in many Russian fairy tales. The priest’s stinginess here emphasizes zodiac characteristic Capricorn. But the money received from the devils does not seem to interest Balda at all, who embodies a bright Aquarius, Uranian image in opposition to the priest (card Fool-Jester).

Having come to terms with the idea that the image of the terrible Devil, who promises people mountains of gold, has not taken root in the Russian mentality (although it may be a tragic image, like Vrubel or Lermontov, when it emphasizes loneliness and the creative principle characteristic of Capricorn), you can return to the image Koshcheya , depicting him in Pushkin's style on a forged chest with gold hidden in his underground kingdom, - and leaving the scorpion image of death to Baba Yaga.

You can also find other characters from famous fairy tales to play the role of the cruel ruler of countless treasures. This is, for example, the one-eyed chieftain from a fairy tale Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves"(remember that the name of the letter XV arcana - "eye"). Cave- the region of darkness (hidden), and it is not without reason that its owner is the chieftain of the robbers, who in an unholy way took away his treasures from the obvious, bright life. And even honest Ali Baba is forced to hide them: which provokes further drama in the plot. As in cases of falling into the underground halls of death, it is important for the hero to find not so much wealth as exit from the cave where it was hidden. A secret treasure does not bring joy: for a rich man or a poor man, an honest man or a robber, it is fraught with danger and causes problems. It must be revealed to the world or lost.

In children's literature we can find another interesting image of an almighty ruler, in Capricorn winter - this The Snow Queen. She rules the closed kingdom of cold and ice, where Kai finds himself, relying only on his pragmatic interests and neglecting love and the joy of life, as is often characteristic of representatives of the Capricorn sign. The hero, who has attached his small sleigh to the flying sleigh of the Snow Queen, is carried away by a distant target, worthy of it, so that for her sake, forget what is familiar and close: it is not for nothing that Kai, in the ice kingdom, puts together a word from pieces of ice " eternity"But life in its natural manifestations perishes: like roses wither, touched by the breath of the Snow Queen.

The hero's lost warmth and fullness of life are returned by the caring love of his sister. So in Western fairy tales, heroes who fall for his bait are often saved from the devil by relatives: for example, older brothers younger brother devoid of their self-interest. The theme of family mutual assistance is also the sphere of Capricorn, symbolizing the “karma” of the family.

XVIth lasso.DESTRUCTION (LIGHTNING). This lasso reflects destruction achievements of the past and its shackles, which should release internal forces to new life- which the planet symbolizes Mars . This process serves as the finale of fairy tales about Koshchei the Immortal: when the hero breaks a needle - Koshchei's death hidden in the egg- and at the same time Koshchei’s castle collapses and the spell of his kingdom crumbles to dust.

The destruction of the world, ordinary and especially magical, built by previous arcana, very much reflects the image old women at a broken trough V " The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" - where the moral emphasis is placed on the internal causes of such destruction, as is usually interpreted in Tarot cards. After all, although the magic of the fish helps the old woman to find everything she wants, external changes of fate do not change her inner being in any way. Likewise, humanity (technocratic society) today strives for limitless expansion, which is limited only at the very source of existence.

The old woman from the fairy tale cannot subjugate eternity, which she lives and breathes, and this puts a limit to her material grasp. Wanting to give the magic fish human orders, she rejects its invisible, incomprehensible help and remains alone with her human poverty.

It is interesting that in Pushkin’s fairy tale an image appears integrity And one life world, and his animated character is not only the Fish, but also the sea. With each subsequent request from the old woman, it changes its color and becomes more and more menacing.- visibly showing the reaction of higher powers (Nature, God) to its expansion.

When we return to the source, history and destiny begin again. This is the positive of this lasso, the theme of which is not just to destroy the past, but to point the way to the future.

If we lived in the last century, the recommendation of this card would be simple: having sensed the will of God, which exceeds our own understanding (the fiery element of the planet Mars), trust it, and it will lead you where you need to go. But modern man is not inclined to trust something that he does not understand: and where is the guarantee that we are subconsciously led by the will of God, and not by society (mythologically, this is a single archetype), which, as before, dominates the individual, at that time How today, according to the demands of the time, should the individual rise above him? And the task of cognition destroys the impulse of internal movement: a person needs to meaningfully achieve what he touched with the help of invisible forces.

XVII lasso.WATER, LIVING AND DEAD.- After destruction to the foundations of the previous lasso, life is resumed on a new foundation. Living and dead water- a frequent attribute of fairy tales (here, for example, the image of the old man Finn, reviving Ruslan, treacherously killed by Farlaf in the poem " Ruslan and Ludmila").- And the traditional symbol of the sign Aquarius which this card symbolizes. Dead water (Saturn, fixation of awareness) heals the wounds of matter, living water (Uranus, movement of energy) blows spirit into it. Eternal free interconnection, interpenetration of matter and spirit, inorganic Cosmos and living nature is the theme of this lasso, where a girl animates a desert planet with the living water of cosmic spheres. The heavenly is reflected in the earthly, and the earthly influences the heavenly - thus the infinity of space serves as a guarantee of the eternity of life, feeding the dream of the resurrection and immortality of the hero of a fairy tale despite the drama of earthly events.

Dream come true - the task of Aquarius: it becomes possible when the thought and soul, like a mirror, reflects the world (and not its own claims and problems). So on a traditional map, the star of the idea reflects itself in clean waters land. And if you catch a modern image, a Soviet fairy tale describes the wonderful fulfillment of a dream in Aquarius "Seven-flowered flower"", Where the best project use of petals magic flower turns out a girl's selfless desire to help a sick boy(her other requests to the flower do not leave a noticeable mark on the world). This tale teaches that the power of embodiment must be used wisely: is the idea worthy of its implementation? You may remember that the star of the Tarot card is also seven-pointed: it is a symbol of seven different planets, the mixture of influences of which forms the matter of life.

XVIIIth lasso. MIRACLES (FULL MOON). The image of the full Moon in our subconscious, films and cartoons is associated with emotional depths, immersion in which reveals the magic of what is happening. This strange lasso corresponding to the sign Pisces , describes the course of history and evolution and the invisible participation in this process of forces rationally inaccessible to us - which calls into life all forms and imperceptibly helps their existence. The twilight background of an endless change of shapes on a traditional map can carry a feeling of the futility of what is happening: this world is just a dream.

However, in fairy tales the theme of miraculous help from invisible forces is usually revealed positively - by drawing, for example, image of Emelya with a pike in her hand in a fairy tale By pike command, according to my desire". IN food walking home on its own, and a sleigh traveling without a cart, describe the natural desires of a person. The pike here appears in its usual form conductor the will of nature(nature, Moon), which directly helps the realization of human intentions when they are environmentally friendly and do not harm it. Emelya’s task is to free the flow of life (pike), not to interfere with the flow of things: the will of this flow will do the rest itself. The proverb is appropriate here: laziness is the engine of progress. Emotionally reflects the Moon and the image crying princess-Nesmeyana: nothing in reality makes her happy, but Emelya manages to cheer her up - again, by the will of higher powers.

XIXth lasso.FIREBIRD - " The Little Humpbacked Horse". The horse and the firebird are characteristic symbols of flying across the sky Sun , correlated in this map. Drawing the luminary of a new day, she symbolizes the call to creativity of a new life.

Renewal of life occurs through creative realization man: revealing him individual abilities. This process is fully described by Ershov’s fairy tale, where Ivanushka, before becoming a king and a handsome man: that is, changing his social status and even his nature, like mythological heroes, performs a number of feats: overtakes the solar mare, catches the firebird, brings the Tsar Maiden to her hometown, retrieves her ring from the bottom of the sea and frees the whale. The pinnacle of his exploits is bathing in boiling water - which speaks of the energy inherent in legendary heroes in battle (in the German epic the hero gets so hot that the water in the barrel where he wants to cool down boils). And this hot energy is also a feature of the solar archetype.

In world mythology, the solar gods patronize the heroes, and the horse inherits omniscience from the luminary who surveys the whole world, which is also possessed by the little humpbacked horse, which helps Ivanushka.Constancy of energy and omniscience are the archetypal features of the luminary, and it is not without reason that in astrology it correlates with the heart - which acts as a person’s best adviser and, while he is alive, never stops its movement.

XXth lasso.JUDGMENT (RESURCTION FROM THE DEAD). This map shows a radical, revolutionary transition to a new way of life. Therefore, the first thing that comes to mind is " Cipollino" or" Three fat men": modern fairy tales here are about revolution. If everyone gets together, the inner one merges in a single impulse, the power of the planet Pluto responsible for collective energies, mobilized by the interaction of people, will make it possible to carry out the overdue transformations.

But in order for such close interaction to arise and the energy to “go”, we need an idea that could unite everyone, affecting deep emotions of people. And we need a leader-provocateur who would be able to awaken the perception of this idea, awakening the sleeping layers of the collective consciousness to the movement. This role is played the bitter onion-Cipollino, which causes tears, or the gunsmith Prospero, who sows confusion. The situation of the card causes irritation and discomfort until the harmony of deep unity is achieved.

A calmer and more familiar fairy-tale image of awakening from death - the groom (prince, prince) awakens his beloved from her mortal sleep with a kiss ("The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights", "sleeping Beauty" or " Sister Alyonushka and brother Ivanushka", Where The witch, having drowned Alyonushka in the river, illegally takes her place and orders the death of her little goat brother: but the truth comes to light, and Alyonushka is resurrected by her fiancé, and the villagers, united, kill the witch).

The plots of these tales are that the overtaking danger of imminent death is followed by a rebirth to life and happiness. One day you can escape fate by flight: like a princess who, due to the persecution of her stepmother, leaves her father’s house and finds refuge in the forest. But this fails twice: the situation must escalate to the limit, cause a grave conflict - only then will it be resolved. Only the deep drama of life (the poison of a poisoned apple, the needle of a spinning wheel) awakens the strength to radical change surrounding circumstances - which correlates these tales with the plot XXI Arcana.

XXI lasso. HOME (EARTH, UNIVERSE) - the image of one’s home, the Earth and the Universe are archetypally close - as M. Eliade shows, for the ancients the world axis often passes through their home, and native places are thought of as the center of the world. In astrology, this idea is symbolized by the new ruler of this card - Saturn , but in connection with the image home you can remember the former manager - Moon . And the simplest fairy-tale reflection of the map will be " Teremok" (or " Mitten", from which the animals made themselves a hut). Lunar dynamics XXI The th arcana and our earthly home are reflected by the idea of a fairy tale: no matter how much has been built, you can always finish building it; and no matter how many people can fit into the house, more can be accommodated there.

Although there is something that puts a limit on this: Saturn is the principle of finitude of everything. Both time and space are limitless (as reflected in the dance of the Universe Dancer on the traditional map), and yet the laws of the Universe limit us. What happened cannot be corrected: but the past serves as the foundation for the future, and all events are steps in the formation of life. It is this progression that forms the infinity of perspective (the lunar continuity of the transmission of life through the chain of births and traditions), along with the finitude of real Saturnian achievements at the moment (as this card is usually interpreted).

From modern fairy tales he draws a picture of the universe " A little prince"Saint-Exupéry: his long journey in the Universe must end on his home planet. There are a billion flowers on earth, but the Little Prince must return to his home and live for his Rose, the only one in the world for him.. This is the basis of his existence - the foundation of life, which is built by the planet of limitation Saturn.

MINOR ARCANA

To describe the minor arcana: the dynamic deployment of the elements, the movement of the plots of well-known fairy tales, where traditional representatives of these elements participate, can be used. According to medieval ideas, water is inhabited by undines (mermaids), live in the ground gnomes, in the air elves, and in the fire - salamanders. The story about salamanders did not make it into children's fairy tales, apparently due to the danger of the element of fire. The rest of the characters are popular. Andersen's tale of Little Mermaid fully describes the problem one elements of feelings. Adventures Thumbelina depict the search inherent in signs air . Story Snow White, who came to visit the gnomes, reflects the drama of the elements land (in particular, at the end we find a typical scenario of the death-rebirth of the Virgo sign). And a description of the transformation ruled by the elements fire , can be found in a fairy tale "The Scarlet Flower", the very name of which is associated with flame (this is a typical scenario of the transformation of a monster, and the Russian image of a red flower reveals the essence of the element of transformation).

The cards themselves can depict representatives of the elements: gnomes, elves and mermaids (2 mermaids, 3 mermaids, etc., as is partly done in the mentioned deck), then the fire will correspond to red flowers (or blossoming branches, which are depicted by the traditional version elements of fire, although originally the wands were torches). But we can limit ourselves to pictures of the unfolding of the plot.

Since these tales largely reflect the Western logic of perception of the elements, the sequence of the elements retains the same logic. The basis is matter (the element of earth), feeling blossoms on it (water flows). Feeling is nourished by thought (element of air). Thought gives rise to energy for action (the element of fire), which changes matter, closing the circle of elements. In the northern latitudes there is always a shortage of natural energy, which is why the element of fire appears to be the most inaccessible. We often use the same logic: earth-water-air-fire. But archetypally the highest is still air (spirit, which by nature is closer to thought than energy).

ELEMENT OF EARTH (DISCS)

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs "

Ace of land(disks/gnomes) - element of matter. Dwarves at work in an underground workshop: in a dark mine sparkling with precious stones.- The task of material transformation (improvement, serious work) and achieving super-results.

The little mermaid in front of the casement window of the prince's tall castle. - She is far from her native element, which shows the detachment characteristic of this decade. The feeling breaks away from the previous attachments of a loved one, but moves to a higher (subtle) level of emotional perception (which is characterized by the names of the card: one is “inconsolability”, the other is “inspiration”).

A princess comes to see the prince; their engagement is solemnly announced (the Little Mermaid is near the prince, who treats her like a sister). - This is the role of a conductor of feelings: emotional flows of love for other people and between them. Since the guide himself is in these flows, the traditional name of the card becomes clear: “happiness” or “mysticism”.

The little mermaid dissolves in the ocean, her appearance faintly appears in the waves in which the morning sky is reflected. - Love in its highest appearance is unity with the universal, in which individual images dissolve, merging into a single feeling of divine, cosmic love for the world. The insects reject Thumbelina as unlike them, the beetle also recognizes her as ugly, and she sits abandoned. - The tragedy of man’s separation from the world (understanding of man’s special place). The intellect breaks away from natural curiosity and enters the sphere of abstract thinking, not tied to the objects of the world. However, the break between the intellect and natural forms is fraught with a threat to the former life. Creativity of a revolutionary type (card “cruelty”).

Thumbelina meets the prince of the elves, and the elves bring her wings. - “Transparency” of thought: its independence from objectivity (images or the sound of words) - and overcoming the statics of abstract concepts gives rise to the dynamics of penetration into the world of the transcendent. This is detachment from the past (hence the old name - “destruction”), and therefore the timeliness and modernity of creativity.

ELEMENT OF FIRE (WANDS)

The merchant returns sadly: in order for the monster on the island where the flower grew to let him go, he gave his word that he would send his daughter to him. The sisters refuse, Nastenka agrees. - The beginning of the embodiment of perspective: a person relies on the will of the impulse that gave impetus to his dream. Strengthening confidence in the correctness of the chosen direction. The sisters, in order to delay her, moved the clocks back an hour, but her heart tells her that she needs to go back. - Maintaining traditions (hence the name of the decade - “education”). The girl cries over the body of the Beast lying among the flowers; her beloved is resurrected in beautiful form. - Energy of the past: the previous impulse of life dies (card “suppression”). But he is ready to be reborn in a new form, based on the complete trace that he left: on the transformation that he made. - Sublimation is the energy that brings something new to life.

In conclusion, it should be noted that today the set of fairy tales that children know and watch on TV is changing. However, modern Western cartoons often lack archetypal depth (emotionally they are quite primitive), and there is no stable set known to everyone yet. In the future, perhaps someone will want to create such a deck. But we must hope that the cultural heritage reflected in the fairy tales mentioned here will not disappear - and will delight our children and their parents for a long time.

APPLICATION

"BALLETTARO"

The dynamics of internal development, which is hidden in Tarot cards, can be expressed not only in words and images, but also directly in movement. First of all, of course, in the alternation of life events - as well as in the psychological phases of self-awareness (“individuation” according to Jung.)

As an example of a dynamic symbolic series, we can briefly outline ballet performance of 22 small scenes, which could be built on the symbolism of the major arcana of the Tarot. It could be called " Creation" or " Comprehension"- based on the basic idea of Tarot cards.

Judging by the fact that Tarot is becoming more and more popular here, maybe someone will want to stage such a ballet?

For the rest, our description will help to see Tarot cards as a process. As you know, if the right hemisphere is in charge of images, then the left hemisphere is in charge of movement, as well as speech and logic. Thus, the dynamic representation will facilitate the understanding of the symbolic system of the Tarot for people of a logical type: whose perception is based not on a static image (as with people of an emotional nature), but on a cause-and-effect chain of phenomena.

Part I.

0 lasso ( Jester) . A man with a bundle in white clothes moves in different directions: without taking a step forward, but always turning to the sides. Finally, he approaches the cube standing in the middle and leans against it.

I lasso ( Mage) . He takes a golden cloak from the cube and throws it over himself, revealing the attributes of the elements lying there: a cup, a sword, a disk and a rod. He takes them in turn, summoning the elements. The elements appear in turn, showing their characteristic movements. Smooth - water woman in green; lung - man-air in blue; confident - an earth woman in brown, sharp - a fire man in red.

II lasso ( Priestess) . A woman in emerald-white with a disk of the Moon appears, takes the staff from the Magician: one end up, the other down, and draws a line from top to bottom. She is in a strip of light moving from top to bottom, like a conductor of flow. Round dances of human stars dressed in white (shiny) appear, rotate and close into a single circle surrounding her.

III lasso ( Empress) . The light falling on the woman turns yellow. The stars are moving away, and the elements are approaching her. Having received her blessing, they form an interweaving general dance. Then they leave and bring the gate.

IV lasso ( Emperor) . The elements enter the gate and bring out the previously hidden Emperor in a red and gold robe, forming a structure of five components (life) in the dance. Then the Emperor sits on a throne to the side, with the heads of rams (wears a helmet with ram horns). He raises the ankh (Egyptian key of life). The backlight turns green.

V lasso ( Hierophant) . The dance of life is in the foreground. Flowers, bright light, green and colorful clothes replace the cosmic cold of snow-white stars. The struggle of two figures: in black and white. To resolve their dispute, they approach the throne of the Hierophant - he blesses both with his finger - and stop at the throne, which is plunged into darkness.

VI lasso ( Two ways) . Among the flowers, a man and a woman appear in the foreground (a close image is Adam and Eve). A woman attracts a man to her. But an angel resembling a man (the idea of twins) solemnly descends from the mountains in the background. He tells the life woman to move away and takes the man into the mountains.

VII lasso ( Chariot) . The background is an image of a chariot. A man appears holding the reins of two sphinxes: dark (black, brown, purple) and light (white, beige, light lemon). One pulls it in one direction, the other in the other: the complexity of control is emphasized. The lighting on the floor (their path) can represent black and white stripes (in fate). Finally, he manages to control the controls, and the sphinxes take him to the cube in the middle (or simply to the center of the stage).

VIII lasso ( Justice) . They put a blindfold on him. twilight lighting. He guides their movement with his hands, like scales. Either one figure is active (rising), the other is passive (descending), then vice versa. They change places. The man extends his hand to the light figure and pushes the dark one away.

IX Arcana ( Hermit) . He removes the bandage and turns to a spot of light that appears on the floor. The spot moves, and the person rushes after it. It runs away in unpredictable zigzags, the person reorients himself, catching it with his gaze and movement. Finally, he manages to catch up with the spot and stops inside. (He can also move together with a stick on which a lantern is mounted, which, as it were, forms a spot of light that a person is chasing. At the last moment, he confidently places the lantern next to him and finds himself in a circle of light).

X lasso ( Wheel of Fortune) . Round dance of spots of light (or star people, divided into threes). Anubis (who is carried upward by the Wheel of Fortune), the Sphinx (who sits on its top) and the Dragon (who is thrown down) appear in turn. The will of Anubis sets the rotation of spots of light (triads). The Sphinx stops them and summons four animals: Taurus, Leo, Eagle and Angel, who reveal the secret of his mysterious nature, created from the four elements. Their dance is a reversal of the dance of the elements in turn (Taurus - earth: plowing, Leo - fire: the energy of the sun, Eagle - water: that is, thunderclouds and rain, Angel - air: flight of thought). After their dance they stop in a regular quadrangle. The Dragon scares them away: they go in four directions. And the spots of light begin to rotate faster until they close into a single circle, in which the person remains. Everything is covered in darkness.

Part II.

XI lasso ( Tamer) . In the bright spot appears a woman and a lion (maybe even the dragon from the previous scene). A woman pacifies a lion with affection. At the end of the scene, he lifts her by the leg (the second one is crossed at the knee and swings several times like a pendulum).

XII lasso ( Victim) . Swinging pendulum background. Or a double cube, on which a woman stands on one leg, with her arms facing up - so that the cast shadow forms an inverted reflection with her arms down.

A man sits in a narrow circle of light. Figures in dark clothing (devils) are approaching him. He makes a movement towards him - his circle expands, the dark forces recoil and leave. Then figures appear in gray, scary, shaggy (illusions of the collective unconscious). They also cannot step beyond the line. The man takes a few steps towards them, the circle moves further apart, and the chimeras run away in fear. The pendulum is swinging.

Then 10-12 angels in red appear and surround the circle. The man takes a step towards them, and the circle disappears. They have swords, which they cross over his head. The man remains lying defeated. The angels cover it in red.

XIII lasso ( Death) . Long row of people (in green). Death with a scythe passes along it. People duck when she gets close, then rise again. At the end, the lying person begins to rise along with the people. He crawls to the cube standing in the middle, stands up and lifts it above his head.

XIV lasso ( Creation) . People also each take out a cube and begin to build a tower. The Sun and Moon move on both sides helping them. Finally, the tower is built. The jubilation of people raising their hands in the air. Again the side-lit figure of a woman standing on a double cube with her arms raised.

XV lasso ( Devil) . The Devil appears with horns and a tail. The light moves on him, then falls on the pyramid: illuminating the fact that people are chained to the fruits of their labor: to the brick cubes from which they built the universe. The devil mockingly points out the chains to them. People pretend to be slaves who are unable to move away from the pyramid they have built.

XVI lasso ( Lightning) . The light flashes on and off a couple of times. The background is a triangle with the shining eye of God. The pyramid is falling apart. People are running away. Everyone is on their own with their own cube. They try to say something to each other with gestures, but do not understand each other, they turn to their neighbors first on the left, then on the right - they turn away from them. Everyone gestures at the same time, then everyone stands on their cube and freezes like a statue.

XVII lasso ( Star) . Round dances of brilliant stars appear again, surrounding people like a connection between the scattered points of the cubes. The stars give water to people from a bowl - they come to life, then cover them with a blanket. People fall asleep lying and sitting in resting positions.

XVIII lasso ( Moon) . The stars are leaving. The Moon dances in emerald-white, approaching each of the people and carefully checking whether he is sleeping. Violet light. Gray chimeras also roam among people.

XIX lasso ( Sun) . The light turns yellow. People are waking up. They lay out their bricks in a semi-circle in the background, close together, leaving one space between the cubes. The Sun dances in the center - people greet it.

XX lasso ( Court) . After a while, Death with a Grim Reaper appears. (Background open coffin). On the sides are the Sun and the Moon. Death again swings his scythe along a row of people, but people hold hands and do not allow those who bend over from its swings to fall. They surround death in a semicircle. As they approach, Death throws his scythe and runs away.

XXI lasso ( Universe) . A wreath of people with flowers in their hands. He is spinning, in the middle is a woman in white dancing (who was standing on a cube), with a snake in her hands she performs a bacchanalian dance of ecstasy. A man (who was wearing red) joins her. The Jester appears from the side, again not knowing where to take a step. The ring of people moves in the opposite direction, then crumbles, and starry circles of figures in white appear in their place. The man and woman dance for some more time, then they also leave. The jester wanders among the crouched and silent circles of stars. Then they go in different directions, and he remains alone in the center, in an unstable form of a question, leaning on his staff in a spot of light. The light goes out.

Myths and history of tradition

The closed esoteric tradition of learning the secrets of the universe through meditation on the images of the Arcana of the Tarot has existed since ancient times.

According to the legend, the Atlanteans, who arrived on Earth from another planet, brought universal knowledge and passed it on to the Egyptian priests. The knowledge was transmitted by the god of wisdom and knowledge Thoth (Atlas), who later became widely known under the name Hermes Trismegistus. The priests of Ancient Egypt preserved knowledge by encrypting it in the symbols of the Arcana of the Tarot. In the city of Dendera there is a Temple (not found to date), on the inner walls of which the 22 Great Arcana of the Tarot are depicted. Priests were trained in this Temple. Future priests (neophytes) learned the principles of the world order through meditation on frescoes with the Arcana, and underwent serious tests and initiations.

During the Middle Ages thanks to crusades the tradition fell into a secret magical order. In the 20th century, the famous Freemason and keeper of various secrets Papus (Gerard Encaus) gave Initiation to one of his students - Grigory Ottonovich Meubes (G.O.M.). In 1912, Moebes conducted a course in occultism in St. Petersburg, which included initiation into the Tradition of the Arcana Tarot. In parallel with the St. Petersburg group, another group worked in Moscow - the group of Vladimir Shmakov. The group members who survived thanks to emigration abroad during the period of repression - two people - returned to St. Petersburg in old age. It was they who passed on the Tradition of going to the Great Arcana of the Tarot to Grigory Romanovich Reinin in the form in which it is observed today.

Operating procedure

In this Tradition, transmission from person to person is very important. Therefore, beginners are immersed for the first time in each of the 22 Great Arcana under the guidance of an experienced leader who has received Initiation into the Tradition (transmission). The Leader is the Guide of the Great Arcana.

Beginners do not need to go through the Great Arcana in strict sequence. You can start with any of the Great Arcana.

They usually meditate in groups. During the lesson, 1 of the 22 Arcana is collectively chosen for immersion. Then the presenter reads out the description of the Arkan according to V. Shmakov and everyone is immersed in the created space of the Arkan for 30-40 minutes. After the meditation, time is given to write down your experience, after which group members, if desired, voice their impressions.

Immersion in the space of the Arcana attracts the corresponding energies, includes a special state and thematic learning situations in everyday life, and the experience of the Arcana begins.

In the future, a beginner can independently meditate at home according to V. Shmakov’s description on the Arcanum into which they immersed themselves in a group with a leading guide.

The percentage of people who complete the circle of the 22 Great Arcana is small, as life becomes brighter, more intense, a whirlpool life events circles a person, and only a few remain ready to devote part of their time to continue the practice. Why is this not a modern version of testing a neophyte?

Those who continue (who have completed the circle of the Great Arcana) can, under the guidance of the leader, go through the Paired Arcana sequentially - 11 halls of the Temple. This is the 2nd stage of knowledge of the Arcana in this Tradition, it is considered the most serious. Diving into the Paired Arcana in a certain sequence is like going through a labyrinth. Arcana are lived at a deeper level.

After sequential passage of all 11 halls, you can experiment with states, “play” with the spaces of the Arcana further: combine 4 or more Arcana, immerse yourself in the spaces of the Court and Minor Arcana, as well as the Shadow Arcana.

Peculiarities

In this tradition, it is believed that there are 100 Arcana Tarot:

22 Great (Major) Arcana;

16 Court Arcana;

40 Minor (Minor) Arcana;

22 Shadow Arcana - reflections of the Great Arcana (their shadow side).

Interesting addition

Those who practice meditative journeys through the Arcana of the Tarot call themselves “arkanauts.”

Most “arkanauts” disdain the use of Tarot as a mantic (predictive) system. They believe that the predictive Tarot (like a kind of “astral machine”) was created to preserve the tradition of meditative immersion in the Arcana of the Tarot, since the best way real knowledge can be carried through centuries only by exploiting the eternal vices of humanity: the desire to know fate, the future, and the like.

We personally (the authors of the site), without any internal contradictions, combine in our daily lives immersion in the Arcana of the Tarot in this Tradition and work with a wonderful tool - (one might say differently: “dialogue” with a reliable friend and assistant) - a deck of Tarot cards.

Literature on this tradition

After gaining YOUR own experience of immersing yourself in the Great Arcana of the Tarot, it will be useful to read books based on other people’s experience:

  1. V. Shmakov “The Sacred Book of Thoth: The Great Arcana of the Tarot. Absolute beginnings of the synthetic philosophy of esotericism."

Arcana of the Tarot - tools for transformation

As a tool, Arkan is a picture or text description. Through the picture you can feel the vibration of the Arcana. Or you can “enter” the meditative space that is described. After the passage, there remains a memory of a specific sensation and certain knowledge taken from the immersion. Knowledge of this vibration and the wisdom of the Arcanum makes a person skilled in passing through a certain range of situations corresponding to the Arcanum. So all 22 describe approximately any possible situation. The Arcanum suggests a way out of a difficult situation, and even offers a special internal state, by maintaining which you can emerge victorious (or with minimal losses) in any situation.

Working with the Arcana involves developing these states and the skill of using them in life.

Mental study of the Arcana
Many who begin to work with the Arcana reduce the entire practice to a mental analysis of the meaning of the elements of the image and the various names of the Arcana. This approach is very superficial. Another mistake you can make is to limit yourself to a meditative journey through the space opened by a specific Arcanum. Although such a journey is a deeper level of work than the mental one, it is also not enough. It is necessary to catch the feeling of the special vibration inherent in this particular Arcanum. Even more serious work is the perception of the Arcanum as a certain point of view on the world, a certain window into Infinity, an aspect of the Whole. This is exactly how the Arcana were conceived when they were created during the times of ancient Egypt. All one hundred (100 Arcana make up 22+22 white and shadow Major Arcana, 56 Minor Arcana - 4 14 in each Paw-Suit) were supposed to preserve all knowledge, all wisdom, a complete picture of the universe. The Tarot Arcana as vibrational spaces are known from the deck Tarot, in which there are the Elders twenty-two, as Archetypes of situations and roles; There are fifty-six Minor Arcana, divided by suits as the Pillars of the Elements: Cups - Water, Wands - Fire, Swords - Air and Pentacles - Earth. But there are also twenty-two Dark Arcana, which are complementary pairs to the Great ones, and make up a whole deck - like a hundred...

Origin of the Arcana Tarot

The knowledge of the Egyptian priests was of unearthly origin. Its foundations were the secrets of the Atlanteans who lived on the sunken Atlantis. But they also brought their knowledge from the stars, from another Universe, from a civilization that went through both technogenic and spiritual levels of development, and had the opportunity to scatter grains of wisdom among civilizations that had just begun to develop on other planets and in other galaxies. Even a hundred years ago, it was quite natural to spend several years first understanding the meaning, then working on the clarity of visualization of the picture and reviving its characters, and only then reaching the level of living the Arcana. Nowadays, we immediately begin by incorporating the vibrations of the Arcana into our lives. Most who begin to work with them already have remarkable inner vision, and astral travel is a significant part of life. Arcane vibrations are felt and recognized by everyone upon their first immersion into one of the Arcane spaces.

How to enter Arkan

You are reading a description of Arkan. Think about keywords and meanings. Then imagine the image. You make it voluminous and alive. You become a Traveler through a painted scene. You can approach any character, ask him a question, and even feel like you are in his role. You can go around the temples and caves if you find any. In the process of such immersion, you gradually understand the hidden meaning and wisdom of this Arcanum. Then you “come out” of meditation and open your eyes. You remember what you saw and heard. Record it and tell it to the rest of the dive participants. Typically, the leader first reads out the text of the description, pauses for the duration of the meditation (from 15 to 40 or even 90 minutes), then invites you to come out of a deep dive into meditation and talk about your experience, your feelings. After everyone is told, he makes his comments and gives a task for a week, before diving into the next Arcana.

Working through the Arcana for a week

One of the main components of working with the Arcana is the special internal state that appears during your stay in the Arcana, and the main wisdom of the Arcana. Wisdom is contained in the name of the Arcana itself and several key values, which precede the text describing the picture. All Arcana differ from each other precisely in this state and the wisdom contained in the Arcana. A picture or image is just a key for setting, without which it would be difficult to enter a specific Arcana for the first time. After diving for a week (or more) until the next dive, you need to understand those life situations, which in a training manner begin to attract the vibrations of the Arcana to the “Arkanaut”. Thus, in a very short period of time, many problems that usually surround a person can disappear. The speed of practicing such “lessons” depends, of course, on himself, and on accepting the situation from a new point of view, usually the “Arcanum”. You can move along the positive side of the Arcana, then situations will bring success. But it is possible, by remaining passive and not working with the Arcanum, to walk along the negative side of the Arcanum. Then the whole week will be continuous trials and crisis situations, which without Arcane vibrations would be enough for a year. And these tests sometimes fit into a week. So to speak, “through thorns to the stars”... Lessons are taught anyway, these are the properties of Arcane spaces. But the tests are difficult...

Within 22 weeks, a very rapid transformation of a person can occur, of course, through a change in his consciousness. But it is with consciousness that Arkan works. If it is used only as a magical tool to manipulate situations, transformation may not occur.

However, as a magical tool, Arcana are also acceptable. This is a matter of worldview.

During the seminar, before entering the Arcanum, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the canonical description of the Arcanum (according to Shmakov and G.O.M. *) and look at the images on several Tarot decks (usually participants bring their own). Then read out the magical correspondences to this Arcana and its traditional names. Only after this close your eyes and begin to create a visual image of the entrance to the Arcana. The description of the picture most often does not differ much from the traditional one, and may have additional details that are visible only when immersed in the Arcana space, so to speak - a “live description”.

From the history of this Tradition

Papus, being a famous Freemason and keeper of various secrets, coming to Russia, gave Initiation to one of his most faithful students - Moebes. In 1912, Grigory Ottonovich Moebes taught a course in occultism in St. Petersburg, which included initiation into the Arcana Tarot tradition. Earlier information was lost among the secret magical orders of the Middle Ages. However, the authenticity of the transmission from the Egyptian priests was confirmed only recently: in one of the Egyptian pyramids a gallery with stone panels of 22 scenes from the lives of Osiris, Thoth (Hermes) and Isis was found. Based on their plots - connection with modern images Tarot is quite obvious.

One of the students of G.O.M. retained the technique of walking through the Major and Minor Arcana. She handed it over to Grigory Romanovich Reinin. And Reinin passed on the Tradition to Victoria Yuryevna Rogozova. This is how the tradition has been preserved and spread to this day. Eat various points view on the spread of Tradition. Reinin believes that the more people go and lead the Arcana, the greater the chance for the Tradition to survive and grow. Victoria Yuryevna believes that the transmission of Tradition requires deep transformation, and you can “walk” into the Arcana yourself, but leading is not given to everyone.

Alexander Voronov generally guides through the Arcana based on their description compiled by Crowley (it can also be found in the book by Gerd Ziegler and Aleister Crowley’s book “The Book of Thoth”). Among the students of Reinin, Rogozova and Voronov, it has become a “good tradition” to lead through the Arcana when the Masters go somewhere for a while, so that people don’t get bored...

Time will judge which of them is right. And the Tradition lives its own life and allows changing the fate of an increasing number of those who have passed the full circle of the Major Arcana...

About the Shadow Arcana

Shadow Arcana Tarot

The idea of supplementing the tarot deck with dark arcana began to arise periodically when the tarot deck was combined with the tree of the Sephiroth. There are two different ideas dark tree. One of them is called the tree of the Klipot and is built down from the main tree from the Malkuth sephira. This tree can be called a “false tree”; it is generated by false ideas about the world order; there are now countless such self-made theories of the world order.
The idea of another version of the dark or shadow tree was generated by the presence of the unmanifested Daath sephira on the tree. This sephira is called Knowledge and, in fact, it is she who opens access to the Tree.

Symbolically, it represents a mirror, perhaps translucent, in which another world, mountainous or manifest, is seen as a reflection, a semblance of the observer’s world. Hence the idea - as above, so below. But the mirror also has a “through-the-looking-glass” space; to get into it you need to see the lasso inside the Daat mirror. This entrance allows you to see the hidden, shadow side of the lasso. The individual shadow aspect of the arcana can be very different, not always positive, but just as consciousness manifests only a very small part of the subconscious, so the shadow arcana reveal the space of the arcana in its entirety. Arcana become “alive”.
