Cooking method

Boil several small potato tubers in their skins in advance. Then cool it, peel it and cut it into small cubes.

Choose boiled sausage from a trusted manufacturer, fresh and of high quality, then the salad will taste better. From part of the sausage, cut out the ears, snout and stigma for the pig, and chop the rest of the sausage into medium-sized cubes.

This time I used pickled cucumbers, but you can replace them with salted ones, because this will not adversely affect the taste of the salad. Chop the cucumbers into cubes as well. Drain the brine that formed after slicing the cucumbers.

Rinse several green onions in running water, wipe dry and finely chop with a sharp knife.

Combine all previously prepared ingredients in a deep plate. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add two tablespoons of mayonnaise. Mix.

On a beautiful large plate in which the dish will be served, place the salad in a hemisphere so that it resembles the “body” of a pig.

Boil chicken eggs in advance (about 8-10 minutes), cool and peel them. Grind on a fine grater along with melted cheese.

Mix cheese and eggs thoroughly. You should get a homogeneous paste-like mass. Cover the top of the salad with this mixture. Then make a mesh of mayonnaise and with clean hands spread the mayonnaise over the entire surface of the salad.

This salad is not at all difficult to prepare, does not cost much in terms of ingredients or time, and in the end it turns out to be an ideal appetizer for the winter holidays!

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet- 1 PC.
  • champignons – 300 g
  • onion – 1 pc.
  • prunes – 10-13 pcs.
  • hard cheese – 50 g
  • boiled egg – 2 pcs.
  • mayonnaise – 80 g
  • salt, pepper - to taste

For decoration:

  • fresh dill – 1 bunch
  • pomegranate seeds
  • prunes

Cooking method

Mushrooms and onion wash, peel and cut into thin slices.

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. First put the onion in the pan, fry it lightly for 1-2 minutes, then add the champignons to it. Add salt and pepper to taste, stir and continue frying over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms and onions acquire a golden color. After this, transfer the prepared mushrooms to a plate so that they cool completely.

Boil in advance chicken breast in salted water for 30 minutes. Then cool the meat and cut into thin pieces or disassemble it into fibers.

Place chicken fillet on a plate as the first layer. Form triangular shape, reminiscent of a Christmas tree. Cover the meat with mayonnaise mesh.

The next layer will be - fried champignons with onion. Place them around the entire perimeter of the salad and spread with mayonnaise.

Peel the boiled chicken eggs and grate them on a fine grater, also chop them hard cheese.

Now add grated eggs to the salad and cover them with mayonnaise.

Transfer the prunes to a deep plate and rinse under running water. Pour boiling water over it and leave for 20 minutes so that the prunes are thoroughly steamed. Then separate the prunes from the stone and cut into thin pieces.

Place prune slices on top of eggs. Cover with a mesh of mayonnaise.

The last layer in this salad is grated cheese with mayonnaise.

With crab sticks

Don't know what to impress your guests with? New Year's Eve? Try making this delicious and appetizing salad, decorated in the shape of Santa Claus. Bright and elegant, such a salad will become a real decoration for a festive feast! Description of preparation and photo from Elena Petrushina.

In fact, it is very simple to prepare such beauty; you do not need special products, because to decorate the salad we will use only those ingredients that are indicated in the composition. We will make Grandfather’s fur coat from the top part of crab sticks, and the edge and face from eggs.

Ingredients:
Crab sticks – 200 g;
Rice – 0.5 tbsp.;
Onions – 0.5 pcs.;
Corn – 0.5 cans;
Chicken egg – 4 pcs.;
Mayonnaise – 100-120 ml;
Salt - to taste;
Peppercorns – 2 pcs. (For decoration).

Cooking time – 40 minutes.
Number of servings – 4.

Cooking recipe step by step:

Boil the rice in lightly salted water until tender.

Carefully cut off the red sides of the crab sticks into thin slices. Cut the rest into cubes as usual. If the crab sticks were frozen, they must first be thawed.

Boil chicken eggs, cool and peel them. We put the whites from two eggs and one third of the yolk aside, they will be useful for decoration. Cut the remaining eggs into cubes.

Peel half of the white onion and cut into small cubes.

Combine all the prepared ingredients in one bowl and add canned corn to them.

Season the salad with mayonnaise, add a small pinch of salt and mix everything thoroughly. It’s better not to skimp on mayonnaise, the rice will absorb most and the salad can learn to be dry.

Place the salad on a large flat dish, forming the silhouette of Santa Claus. The head, collar, fur coat and arms should be clearly visible. We compact the salad and press it with a spoon, making the contours clearer.

Next we lay out the prepared crab sticks. From these we make a fur coat and a cap for a hat. Hands should be completely covered. In the area of ​​the hands, you can use scissors to trim the edges to create rounded palms.

Grate the yolk on the finest grater and sprinkle it on the salad in the face area. We also grate the protein and use it to form the edge of the fur coat, hat and collar.

Using a pastry syringe with a textured nozzle, we use mayonnaise to create a beard and hair for Santa Claus. Then it’s the turn of the face – the peppercorns will be the eyes, and a small piece of crab sticks will be the nose. We also decorate the fur coat with corn buttons. Our Grandfather Frost is ready! The salad can be cooled slightly in the refrigerator before serving. Bon appetit!


Ham salad

Let's cook nutritious salad with ham with cheese, carrots and pickled cucumbers. According to the processes, everything is easy and simple, it comes down to the fact that all the products are cut into cubes, but the preparation of the dish will take some time, so be patient and you will get a wonderful New Year's salad in the form of Father Frost or Santa Claus.

Ingredients:
– ham – 200 g;
– carrots – 100 g;
— eggs – 2 pcs.;
– pickled cucumber – 100 g;
– cheese – 70 g;
— sweet red pepper – 1 pc.;
- olives - for decoration;
— mayonnaise – 100-120 g;
- salt - to taste.

Preparation:

Grate hard cheese, you can use large or small chips, it doesn’t matter.

Boil chicken eggs, cool and peel. Divide into whites and yolks. One yolk will go for decoration, the other will go into the salad. The squirrels will be used entirely for decoration.

Place grated cheese in a salad bowl and grate the egg yolk there.

Cut the ham into small cubes. Also cut the pickled cucumbers into cubes.
Add ham and cucumbers to the salad. If you don’t have ham, you can replace it with delicious sausage – semi-smoked or boiled.

Peel the pre-cooked carrots from thin peels, cut into small cubes, and add to the salad.

Mix everything and season with mayonnaise, if desired, add a little salt.

Place the finished salad on a wide, flat plate, giving it the shape of Santa's head in a hat.

Finely grate the yolk into the center of the salad, and also put a piece of red pepper in the center - this will be the nose.

Make a beard and the edges of a hat from the squirrel. Cut out eyes from the olives and place them in the center.

Finely chop the red bell pepper and place it to form a hat.

The funny “Santa Claus” salad is ready, you can serve it right away, it looks elegant and appetizing.

From red sweet peppers we cut out triangular hats and small round noses of Santa Claus.

Place the bell pepper on the eggs: on one side of the cap, and just below the spout. Hats can be additionally glued onto mayonnaise.

Place peppercorn eyes, lightly pressing them into the filling. Eyes can be made from black olives, prunes and other edible products.

Decorate the finished Santa Clauses with mayonnaise and make a fluffy beard.

Olive palms for decorating salads

Slice green onions long tubes - 3 pieces for each palm tree.
We cut the onion tubes into noodles, but do not cut them all the way through. It turns out to be a skirt with a long fringe.
In order for the onion to curl well, you need to buy freshly cut ones. Also, for better curling, the resulting “skirts” can be slightly chatted in warm water.
Then a “skirt” of a larger diameter is taken and a smaller one is inserted into it, then another and another... (the principle of a telescopic pipe is used).
Olives are strung onto skewers for kebabs, and greens are put on top. Instead of skewers, you can also use hard cocktail tubes cut obliquely at the ends.
To ensure that the palm trees stand steadily in the salad and do not fall, they should be inserted into half a large radish or into a cucumber cut lengthwise.
